Explore nature trails within a walking distance. Take a sailing or riding lesson. Explore the area in the kayaks we have. Go to the old fashioned ice cream parlor in Dark Harbor -- could be a daily event!! Over 2400 sq ft in our waterfront cottage where you can get away from all the hustle and bustle and really relax. Islesboro is a 20 minute ferry ride from Lincolnville, a few miles north of Camden. It is an unspoiled, quiet place. The nearby towns on the mainland are some of the prettiest on the coast. The house has three bedrooms. Three double beds. There are 500 plus feet of private shore filled with fat mussels for picking at low tide. The island is low-key. We do have many activities on the island in the summer -- public beaches, nature walks and hiking trails, community center activities, opportunities for sailing lessons, etc. -- time spent here is largely about relaxing, ambling around, thinking about what to make for dinner, wandering to the shore and back, looking at the sky and water.
