About this house rental
Situated in Juneau, this attractive house for $309 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. Hillside Haven is committed to cleanliness and safety for those visiting our lovely guest suite. Our COVID-19 Preparedness Plan will insure the suite is cleaned and sanitized following CDC guidelines. Minimum nightly stay has been increased to 5 nights and 1 day of unavailability between reservations to insure proper cleaning of the suite. Hillside Haven Guest Suite is located in beautiful Auke Bay Alaska. We are located 1/8 of a mile past the Alaska Marine Highway Ferry Dock on a secluded piece of property just steps from Auke Nu Cove, a perfect place to launch your kayak adventure, and backed by Tongass National Forest where the hiking opportunities are limitless. Auke Bay is a great place to start your fishing day for halibut and salmon or if you prefer, a whale watching tour to watch feeding Humpback or Orca whales. Watch eagles soar over the cove or perched up in a tree from outside your window, deer eating new green shoots of grass in the spring, or the occasional black bear patrolling the area in the fall all from your front deck. Our newly built accommodation is peaceful and private with plenty of room to relax and take in the beauty of a true Alaskan experience. Come enjoy the Alaska that is waiting for you outside your front door.

My husband and I spent a week at this lovely, peaceful Auke Bay cabin. The beautiful view from the sitting room window is of the forest with a glimpse of the bay. The kitchen is well equipped, the sitting room is relaxing and the bed was very comfortable. The owners were very welcoming. The location is great for those who want to be close to Juneau, but avoid the crowds. I would love to stay here again.

We enjoyed our visit to Juneau and the property location, away from the cruise ships and downtown, was perfect for us. The property manager gave us some good activity ideas and our week in Juneau was rewarding. The bedroom of the property was large and the bed was very comfortable. We had peek-a-boo views of a little cove below us. The spa mentioned is probably a dream for most people; however it was difficult for us to get in and out of as the side of the tub was high and difficult to negotiate for us. That said, we didn't realize there was a folded step stool to use for this purpose. The shower was great though once we got in there.

We were here for the Ironman race and we definitely couldn’t have had a better location for that as we were 8min from transition, but we would come back and stay here for all future trips to Juneau as well due to its centralized location to all the fun adventures we were looking for.
The house had everything we needed for an amazing stay: a well stocked kitchen for making our own meals, laundry facilities, comfy King bed, bear spray for hiking, garage to store bulky items (like bike case) drawers for unpacking, and a shower/sauna/jacuzzi my husband couldn’t stop talking about. Theresa was super helpful with adventure suggestions and I loved hearing about (and tasting) her labor of love dried seaweed. Check in and check out and all communication in general was great. If we could give more than 5 stars we would. Can’t wait to come back!

Teresa and Tom's cabin is an exceptional find, I would definitely recommend it! Very close to multiple hikes, and only minutes from grocery stores/gas stations/breweries/restaurants. If you're weary of stairs beware, and make sure you've got a vehicle that can make it up a steep slope! It would also be much comfier with just 2 people (our party included my fiance and his parents), as there is *no* privacy barrier between the bedroom and living room (a curtain rod on each door would be an easy fix for this issue!). Teresa was an excellent hostess-- very communicative, kind, and flexible. She and her family helped make our vacation a special one.

Teresa and Tom's cabin is an exceptional find, I would definitely recommend it! Very close to multiple hikes, and only minutes from grocery stores/gas stations/breweries/restaurants. If you're weary of stairs beware, and make sure you've got a vehicle that can make it up a steep slope! Ideal Auke Bay location
This was the second time my husband and I stayed at this property. We love the privacy and location, not too far out from town but not in the more noisy tourist area. Theresa and Tommy are friendly and helpful, the unit is clean and has a well stocked kitchen. My husband is most in love with the spa shower-it is a real treat after a day outdoors! The bed is super comfortable too.
