Our first time renting a home and we had a great time. Communication with Laura was excellent and a minor issue quickly became a non issue.
The cottage is indeed rustic but that isn’t a bad thing, just good to know. It’s a popular location with the lighthouse (go watch the sunsets) and Seagull restaurant (excellent meals) so close but it was never noisy or intrusive.
Found everything we needed in the kitchen and plenty of clean linens. We enjoyed the fireplace and having our dog along for the week. Lots of dog walks along the beautiful Pemaquid Loop and Cliff roads.

We had a wonderful week at the lighthouse cottage. There are several nice restaurants we enjoyed, and the kitchen had all we needed when we ate at home.
We are planning on returning again and again,

We had a great time - loved the location letting kids run down to the ice cream shop. The only bummer was no washer and dryer or clothes line - tough to get clothes and towels dry.

Cannot say enough good things about our stay. It was everything you would want in a Maine vacation. The place is a rustic roomy cottage. My wife and I felt at home the minute we walked in. Nice that we could bring our dog too. Highly recommend the place. Would love to return next year. And Laura is also fantastic, a great host. Great communication. Great place, great vacation.

This was the fourth trip my wife and I (70s) have made to Pemaquid Point. The cottage was just right for us: all on one floor, close to the lighthouse, and close to great scenic walks and a wonderful restaurant. Also, there are many other interesting things to visit in the area. The cottage has everything you could need in the kitchen and is very comfortable.

A charming house in a wonderful location. This classic Maine cottage was a lovely place to spend a week. Excellent restaurants within a walk or easy drive, lovely hiking and beautiful paddling. I only wish that they would trade the double bed for a queen - then it would be perfect.

Wonderful location by Pemaquid Point lighthouse. Enjoyed the balmy sea air from the front porch and the short walk to the lighthouse park. We even caught a local band/orchestra playing there one evening! Would definitely return.😊The owner was responsive and the cottage had everything we needed. Great location for exploring mid-coast Maine!

Our family of four and furry pup had a wonderful week in this cottage. Communication with Laura both before and during the stay was seamless though her emails kept getting to sent to my unmonitored spam folder (sorry about that!). The cottage itself was very homey and clean with all of the basic toiletries, linens, and kitchen needs (paper products, spices, drinking water, coffee with filters, a bag of ice, etc) provided. Strong wifi signal, good water pressure and enough hot water for a few back-to-back showers. We also appreciated the beach chairs found on the back porch as we had not brought our own. Though we visited during a very hot week, the cottage managed to stay cool with open windows and a fan in every room. The location is fabulous with access to the Pemaquid Lighthouse for picnic dinners, brunch at the Seagull restaurant, and easy access down the steps behind the restaurant to relax on the rocks and watch the wildlife on the water. We hope to return again next year!

Just perfect!
This stay fulfilled all of our dreams of a quiet cottage right on the ocean. What we didn't expect was a full-service restaurant within walking distance and a practically car-less neighborhood to walk and bike. Our photos of the lighthouse look like postcards. Already trying to make plans to return. Also close to amazing Pemaquid Beach Park and several restaurants that will not disappoint.

The house has charm and was as described. Very attentive hostess and she left a good clean ample supply.of essentials. The heaters supplied in each bedroom were great as it rained and August near the sea can be cold and damp. One disappointment was the restaurant down the road was not yet open. Very enjoyable week. Rustic, cozy cottage in a wonderful location - a quiet neighborhood, close to the lighthouse, perfect for morning and evening walks. On hot days, ocean breezes kept us cool, and we were lulled to sleep by the ocean sounds.
Practicalities: mattresses were very comfortable, bedding was great. There were lots of towels and blankets. The kitchen was basic, but it had all necessary tools and appliances.

Loved the house and its location. House was a gem. Throwback to my childhood. We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary today so it works for people in their 70’s. We booked it in February.

We had a wonderful week in this home. The description was accurate and it fit our needs; setting absolutely beautiful. Home was well stocked with basic paper products, kitchen ware, etc. Only addition (because we were mid-September) would be one additional heavy quilt for the 3rd bedroom. Couple of nights were cold and we did not have all the heaters set in proper places...Thank you for allowing us to experience your home!

You cannot beat the chatm of this cottage so close to the lighthouse at the point. I walked the loop road with my dog every day and we watched the sun set from the lighthouse every evening. Cottage is well stocked for cooking and diniing—and we were delighted with the little touches of whale pillows and anchor sheets. I miss hearing the surf every night. Thank you!

Quaint, homey, rustic...
Can't beat the location, thats for sure... only a few hundred steps from Pemaquid Point light. Kitchen was well equipped with sundry items as well as dishes, pots and pans. Having our 5 year old granddaughter with us, we were concerned about some of the old wiring of the lamps, etc. The windows and screens are in a state of disrepair.... rattle in the wind, and bugs can slip in easily. The bathroom sink and plumbing is supposedly going to be repaired this fall so lets hope it won't be as noisy next summer. It would have been helpful in the guidebook to give more detailed directions as to where things like blankets, heaters, etc, were, as well as a guide to things like local restaurants. Communication with the owner was excellent and rapid. Mattresses seemed new, and while a bit hard for my taste, were great. Overall a good experience... hopefully will be even better next year if windows and sink is repaired.

Peppy Pemaquid
We had a great stay in this cottage! We walked down to the rocks at the lighthouse for sunset every night and enjoyed seeing the flash of the light in the kitchen each night. The cottage is charming, cozy, and the furniture and beds are comfortable. Laura was very receptive over email and gave us great recommendations for our stay-- Rachel Carson Saly Pond Preserve, Round Pond, and the Pemaquid Co-Op for lunch. If you're looking for a vintage cabin in a perfect location, this is your spot!

Paradise on Pemaquid!
A wonderful stay at a charming cottage in one of the most beautiful locales in Maine! The location is fantastic and many activities and amenities in nearby New Harbor and Damariscotta. The cottage is charming, clean, and well-stocked with the basics. The owners were very clear, accommodating, and timely with all communication. Enjoy!
