Location, location, location best defines this spacious mountain getaway. Located at the base of Hunter Mountain sits this beautifully, custom-built home, unlike any other in the area. Nestled in the woods at the base of Hunter Mountain, this inviting home is the perfect balance of convenience and serenity. We just installed a brand new, paved driveway for your convenience and additional parking. From the back door there's only a minute's walk on a path through the scenic woods before you are in the base lodge parking lot. Great access for skiers or summer festival goers. Fire Works are frequently displayed during winter months and holiday time periods. You can see these from the comfort of our home right from the living room. In the evening enjoy a fire in the huge fireplace or a fire in the outdoor fire pit while sitting on the back deck. A variety of restaurants, convenience stores, book stores, art gallery and movie theater are a walk or a short drive away. The home itself is spacious and open. It is ideal for a ski trip with family or friends or simply relax by the fire in the living room or roast marshmallows and smores by the outdoor fire pit. There are 3 private bedrooms and 2 additional sleeping areas. The entry level has a large mud room to store skis, boots, and all your gear, in addition to a washer and dryer. The entry level offers a spacious rec area equipped with a card table and foosball table. It has a beautiful custom full bathroom, cable TV, a twin bed and a pull-out queen sofa that sleeps 2. The main level is bright and spacious with a fully updated and stocked, modern kitchen. The dining room can seat 8-10. The adjoining living room has wall-to-wall windows on the mountain side offering an abundance of sunlight and great views of the mountain. There's a flat screen TV with cable, fire stick and a DVD/VHS player. On the other side of the living room is a beautiful large stone fireplace. Wood is provided for you. You can see the Hunter Mtn holiday fireworks while relaxing on the couch in front of a crackling fire. There is a large deck off of the living room with an outdoor fire pit. A lovely master bedroom with cable TV and beautiful custom full bathroom are also located on the main floor. There is a deck off the kitchen with table and chairs which also can be accessed through the master bedroom. The third floor has a beautiful custom bathroom with a jacuzzi tub. There are two guest bedrooms, each with two twin beds. Guest bedroom 2 also has cable TV. There is a loft area that has a twin bed. This level has a balcony overlooking the main floor living area. I provide a very generous supply of linens and towels. Wood is provided for the fireplace and outdoor fire pit. For your convenience we offer: Coffee and tea service, A generous supply of dish washer soap, paper towels, napkins, garbage bags and toilet paper. All the makings of a perfect getaway!!!

Great ski weekend! Perfect location to walk to the slopes. Loved the cozy fireplace and the wood supply! Kitchen was nicely stocked with dishes, pots, cleaning supplies, etc. Coffee and tea were also provided as well as small toiletries in the bathroom. Overall, a great stay! One of the stairs is a little loose and a couple of cobwebs here and there. Communication with host was very good. Also perfect entry area with bench to put skis, coats, boots on. Would definitely stay again.

Thankfully there was a big snowfall just prior to our arrival. The skiing was very good for mid-March.
The house was very nice. There were no issues with the beds, which for me is a top priority. The kitchen was well equipped, it is dated but in good shape, new fridge, everything worked well. The bathrooms were clean and have recent upgrades. There was a game room with foosball, which was fun. The mud room was perfect for gear drying and storage, new washer and dryer right there too. The driveway could be a challenge for some if you don't have, for the snowy weather, all wheel or 4-wheel drive. We had All wheel and 4 wheel and one front wheel drive, and we managed OK. It was plowed and cindered but it is a switch back and requires some parking organization for multiple cars. There was some salt I could spread in the morning after a thaw and freeze, so it all worked out. The walk to the lodge was through some deep snow approximately 100 ft through woods, across a road, up a snaow bank, and across two parking lots. I didn't do it but the young athletes in the group were fine. But kids needed drop off, which was very close. like 3 minutes. That goes back to the car organizing topic, you have to plan ahead a little. But we were fine with all of it, however I only mention because it could be a challenge for some who are driving challenged or timid on a hills or from....Florida?.

Property was conveniently right near base of the mountain which made for easy logistics with kids. House is the classic ski house with an amazing fireplace. Great weekend!

Great family gathering place
This is a great home located close to the slopes at Hunter Mountain. We enjoyed a wonderful weekend skiing! There is a well stocked kitchen for home cooking and entertaining. We especially loved the wood burning fireplace for fun evenings playing cards and games. Very responsive and helpful owner when needs arose. We would stay again!

Good location to slopes
Leslie, the property owner, was great with communication. House was nicely situated with a short walk up through the back yard to easily get to Hunter Mountain ski resort. Stocked with plenty of fire wood to keep the fire burning keeping us all cozy and warm.

Leslie’s place is the perfect place for family or families enjoying a ski getaway. The property is immaculate and charming. Leslie was amazing to work with. Plenty of space and less than a mile to the slopes (or a walk but there was so much snow we didn’t explore that option.) thank you so much!

Incredible place walking distance from Hunter Mtn!
Our group of 8 had an incredible time at Leslie's place. Great communication, walking distance to the mountain, and plenty of wood for the family room fireplace :)
The kitchen was incredibly well stocked with utensils/serving materials and felt like it was a place that had been used and loved rather than a place meant for rentals.
Would highly recommend for a group or family trip.

Can't say enough about Leslie and her home. It is the perfect home and location to experience Hunter Mountain. The home is impeccable with plenty of room.

Great house only steps from Hunter Mountain
There was plenty of room for 7 of us to eat and relax together. And the fireplace really took the chill out of late-April snow. The path from the back of the house made the walk to the mountain as easy as possible.

Lovely house. Bigger than the pictures or view from the street let on.
Had an excellent time with a group of 8 at this house. Very spacious with adequate sleeping arrangements, large kitchen for feeding everyone, and cozy fireplaces and fire pit. From booking through departure the whole process was very easy.

The House was great and was literally a 4 minute walk to hunter mtn. Had a minor situation but Leslie took care of it ASAP.. I give the overall experience an A+ and would definitely stay there again. Thank

Beautiful Holiday Weekend in the Mountains!
This is my second review as we stayed at Leslie's over the holiday weekend last year as well. Despite the frigid temperatures, Leslie's beautiful home was warm, cozy and a wonderful retreat from the cold! We never had to leave the house! We absolutely loved the fireplace and had it burning all weekend. It was the perfect amount of room for 8 adults. We were all very comfortable. Again, we loved the proximity to the lodge and Hunter Mountain especially because this year was below freezing temps! Leslie provides coffee, tea, all toiletries etc, which is a great service. Lori, Leslie's housekeeper, was very helpful upon our arrival and was available during our stay with any questions we had. I would recommend this home to anyone! Leslie is lovely to work with and very responsive. I look forward to returning next year!

Beautiful house, clean and right on the mountain
From the first interaction with the owner, to the welcome at the front door, to the follow up thank you from the owner...it was a perfect house to relax with my friends and family over the long weekend. Clean and comfortable !!!!

Cozy Chalet
My family and I had a great weekend at Leslie's chalet! It was literally steps away from Hunter Mountain. It was so nice to come back in from the snow and start a warm fire. Leslie was constantly in contact and a pleasure to work with. We would love to go back and would highly recommend it to anyone going to that area.

Great Weekend!
We rented Leslie's home for the long New Year weekend. Leslie's home is absolutely beautiful! It is peaceful and so cozy --the perfect weekend getaway from NYC! Leslie's housekeeper met me at the house and was very nice and helpful. She gave us suggestions for things to do and where to rent ski gear, etc. She also showed us all around and told us we could call her if we needed anything while we were there. Leslie's home is just a few steps away from Hunter Mountain Lodge and we definitely took advantage of that! Since it was a holiday weekend, we were told that there would be fireworks and some events at the lodge on New Year's Eve around 9 PM. Leslie had already told me this and had said we could also see them from the living room. We had planned on going up to the mountain to see the fireworks--but to our surprise they had actually started setting them off around 7:45. However, we had a GREAT view of the fireworks from the living room and since we were all sitting around the fire and super cozy, it was SO nice to not have to go out in the cold (even for a short walk!). There was PLENTY of room and beds for 8 people. We did cook on Sunday and the kitchen had plenty of pots/pans/utensils we needed! Leslie also provides paper towels, toilet paper, coffee and tea which was SO nice to not have to bring those things as well! The bottom entry to Leslie's home as an enormous "mud room" which is ideal for anyone going for skiing, snowboarding etc! Lastly, we LOVE to play games, particularly board games. We brought some board games with us but Leslie also provided a ton of board games at her house and we enjoyed playing them. Overall, we had such a great weekend and we are hoping to return next winter since we enjoyed it so much. It was the perfect beginning to the new year! Thanks Leslie!

Perfection at the Mountain
Great location, Great house and Great owner. From the beginning, Leslie was very receptive to my questions and her attention to detail and warm hospitality made it a wonderful stay in Hunter. This beautiful and private house was spacious and clean, easily accommodating all eight of us. Little things like providing firewood, coffee and tea, and having an abundance of towels and linens made it that more convenient for us as well. The list of amenities goes on and on. Location was huge for us with it being a five minute walk to Oktoberfest at the mountain. I would definitely recommend renting this house and will be renting again in the future. You will be glad you did. Thank you again Leslie.

Fantastic Home
This was our fist year renting Leslies home for Taste of Country Music Festival. Everything was exactly as expected if not better. There was plenty of room, close to the festival and all the amenities that you would have at home. Thank you and hopefully we will be returning next year.

Great House, Great Location, Great Owner!
This was our first time renting the house for a festival at Hunter Mountain. The location was perfect, walking distance to the mountain, house had all the amenities, was clean, spacious and great set up for all of us. Would recommend the house, Leslie is very responsive, scheduling arrival/departure was a breeze, and everything was as advertised. Would highly recommended this to groups of friends or family for a great get away to Hunter and all of the other surrounding activities. Thanks for a great weekend!

Perfect Location!
This was my second year renting Leslie's home for the Taste of Country Music Festival. I went both times with a few girlfriends, my three teenage kids and some of their friends. The house is very spacious and comfortable, even the air mattress on the floor! The basement was great for my oldest son and his friends. We went back and forth from the festival to the house all day long. The path they made in the woods brings you to the parking lot in less then a minute. The house is a great deal for what you get and you can't beat the location. I would have rented this place again next year 2016 but each year I get a few more people coming and though this house could easily accommodate a few more people, my number for next year is 15 and counting. Leslie seems to be a very easy going person and she was a renters pleasure to deal with!

HIGHLY recommended
A group of friends and I rented this house for a music festival at Hunter, and we could not have been more satisfied with our stay. The house not only has a gorgeous interior but is also conveniently located, with a path through the woods leading directly to the mountain's parking lot. With ample sleeping space, the house is perfect for a group of friends or a family getaway. We enjoyed a beautiful view of the mountain as well as the ability to hear the music from the festival straight from the back porch. Leslie was a pleasure to work with, and I am looking forward to repeating this experience in coming years.

Cozy and Comfortable
We were thrilled the moment we all walked in the door! The firewood was abundant, so where the views and charm of the home. Kitchen was well stocked for all cooking needs. First time I rented a home for our vacation, and Leslie was so kind and lovely to work with.

The best
The house was everything I had hoped for. It held three couples luxuriously. Leslie, the homeowner is a wonderful woman with no exaggeration. The fireplace along with all the bedrooms were exactly as described and posted by the homeowner. I would definitely recommend staying in this home.
