About this house rental
Located in Crystal River, this lovely house for $779 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. Manatee Manor is a beautiful newly renovated 4 bed, 4.5 bath ranch with two primary suites. Has a beautiful outdoor area with screened in HEATED pool and large backyard. This house sits right on the main river (Crystal River) and has two boat docks, a great view down river toward Three Sisters and Hunter Springs. We have just done a large outdoor paving path with large wood fire pit. A great place during the day or at night. When you first walk into this house you will notice the large open area, beautiful travertine flooring with plenty of room for all. To the right you will find a new big spacious kitchen with new granite countertops, new appliances, a large prep space and seating. This area has a large dining room table with seating for 10 people and a wet/coffee bar area. The kitchen if fully stocked and you will find everything you need when prepping and cooking meals. There is plenty of room in the main living room for all to relax on the sectionals and reclining couches. There is a large flat screen tv with big windows with views of the pool and the river. You can exit the living room to the screened in heated pool area. In the winter months the heater can be run for a small daily charge. This area is large with plenty of seating, lounge chairs and even a large table to eat outside and enjoy the views and the weather. This area will become one of the main hang out spots during your stay. You are close to the covered gilling area, with a view of the boat docks and the outdoor firepit. You can watch the kids play in the pool or keep an eye on them while they fish off the two boat docks from the pool area. Walking out of screened in pool area you will find the covered gilling area with lights, this is very nice when the weather isn't cooperating with you. We have a very nice and large paver area with plenty of seating and a wood fire pit where you can sit and enjoy the view, watch the boats go by or just relax. Plenty of seating and tables so you enjoy each other's company and a meal. Again, you can watch the kids fish off the dock or swim in the pool right behind you while enjoying the outdoor patio area. Going back inside.......this house has some amazing and well thought out bedrooms. The first primary bedroom is very large and offers two queen size beds, a flat screen tv, a sitting area and its own private kitchenette. The private bath has a soaking tub, walk-in shower, walk-in closet and double vanities. This bedroom has an attached kitchenette with a stove, a full size fridge, microwave and coffee (keurig) maker. The bedroom/sitting area has french doors which open up to the screened in pool deck and unobstructed views of the river. The second primary bedroom offers a king size bed, a flat screen tv, and a big walk-in closet. There is an attached bathroom with large vanity. This bedroom also has french doors which open up to the screened in pool deck. The third bedroom has a queen bed, flat screen tv and a large closet. The fourth bedroom has another queen bed, large closet and a flat screen tv. These two bedrooms share large "Jack & Jill" bathroom with two vanities and a tub/shower combo. If you want to get away from the people and the noise, there is a second living room with a large flat screen tv, big sectional and two bunk beds (twin over full). This room is perfect for the kids when traveling with the family or multiple families. There are two other bathrooms in the main area of the house, one being a full bathroom with beautiful walk-in shower and the other a half bath. For the kids and young at heart we have air hockey table and bumper pool set up for hours of entertainment in the garage, Also, we have a large commercial ice maker which makes 350 lbs of ice and hold 250 lbs of ice in the bin. This is perfect for filling the boat or coolers. Excellent WI-FI in the home. Washer and dryer. Outdoor gas grill and cooking area. Fish cleaning station. Two paddle boards and four kayaks for your adventures. You are close to the springs!!!! Manatee manor sits on Watersedge Drive, one of the best streets in Crystal River. It is quite and you will see people walking dogs or riding bikes. It has many beautiful homes and is peaceful and safe. It is worth the time to walk or take a leisurely stroll as there is much to see. There are active osprey nesting in the area and many other native birds to see.

Over the years, I have rented several homes in Crystal River, I have never been so pleased as I was this past visit.
Chris, the owner is readily available to answer questions prior to our stay as well as during our stay. He goes the extra mile to make sure our needs were met.
The house is fantastic for a group of friends or family. Each bedroom is well designed and the shared living space is simply perfect. The kitchen is outfitted with everything we needed, new appliances and granite counter tops.
Outdoors you will find a fleet of kayaks, a great barbecue station, a fire pit and plenty of outdoor waterfront seating. The screened in heated pool is fabulous!
This is truly a 5 start stay on Crystal River!

This house is amazing! We had 12 adults and1 child. There was plenty of room for everyone. The pool was warm, the view cannot be beat. We used the provided kayaks and paddle boards to swim with the manatees. The fishing was great from the dock. Huge TVs, two refrigerators, great heating and AC,{yes we used both}. The dining room table was large enough to seat all of us. I just can;t say enough good things about this house. This was our second stay, we will be back again. Our extended family enjoyed vacationing in this spacious home on the water with a dock. Lots of room for everyone to spread out and enjoy themselves. The kids used the pool every day. The location is central to Nature Coast area activities including viewing/snorkeling with manatees, air boat rides, Weekee Wachi mermaids, kayaking from the house, beach and birdwatching.
Recently renovated with all new appliances. The fire pit was also a nice touch.

We booked this VRBO early this year to share a an early Christmas gift with family. It is in a great location on the water which our fishermen loved but we did have major problems with noseeum bugs. We notified Chris of the bugs along with an issue with slow drainage in the kitchen sink, a completely stopped up bathroom sink, holes in the walls, the pool light and one of the lights on the patio didn’t work, and a rear door handle with no catch mechanism so we had to lock it to keep it closed. The very next day, Chris had citronella candles, bracelets and bug spray delivered to the property.
It was then we learned the home was damaged in a hurricane in August and we were the first occupants after the home had been redone. Had we been made aware of that fact when it happened we may have considered other options.
We did enjoy some family time at the house but it was difficult for the kids to swim in the pool at night without any lights, the interior of the pool is very dark. Everyone was disappointed that the air hockey table described in the listing wasn’t there and all 9 of us were eaten up with bug bites and the screened in patio doors had gaps in them.
It was also difficult to have a 14 month old crawling around when there were numerous holes in the walls, most with electrical wiring in them.
Chris was nice but the house really needed to be finished before rented. The last day there was a leak in the master bath sink that soaked the towels under the vanity.

This gorgeous house was perfect with plenty of space!! If you are looking for a house for a gathering, this is definitely the place! The pictures don’t do it justice! We all had a fabulous time and even booked this house again for next year. I highly recommend booking and the owner had great communication too!

The house is perfect for our large group. Very spacious and plenty of bathrooms. We didn’t have the best weather to go scalloping so we were at the house much more than intended and it was very fun, between swimming in the pool, fishing off the dock, and playing cards inside during the storm. Upon checking in we thought we didn’t have hot water so we reached out to the property manager who was nice, respinsive and got someone out to help in minutes and addressed the concern. Also the A/C worked very well and house was equipped with all the kitchen items you need to cook for a large group. We will be rebooking this house in the future.

The property was large and spacious. The description is accurate and did not disappoint. We were not crowded. There was plenty of room to spread out. There was plenty of everything needed: dishes, towels, ect. We will plan to come back next year!

The house is perfectly laid out for large groups. Our family of 11, plus 2 dogs, was kept entertained and comfortable the entire time. We were able to see manatees, dolphins and turtles all from the dock. Our family didn't want to leave! It was the perfect place to celebrate our son and our niece graduating. From the large pool, card games, jenga, watching the local wildlife, pool table and air hockey table, kayaks and paddle boards, the entire family was able to find something to do. The private docks, made it easy for docking our boat and heading out on the water for amazing views and fishing. Thank you Chris for helping us make this trip so memorable!!

Ideal property for family holidays. Fully equipped with everything you could need. Great pool. Supermarket and restaurants just a short ride away. Chris the property host was very helpful. We loved our visit to Homosassa Springs to see the Manatees and a Backcountry air boat ride to see dolphins. Perfect!

This was a great house to rent while in Crystal River. It was beautiful, spacious, on the water, great location, had everything you would need while staying there. If you are looking for a great place for a large family or friends this, is it. We rented a pontoon boat one day as we do every year we go, and it was nice to dock up at the house grab our stuff and go. The same when we were done for the day, we dropped everything off and drove the boat back to the marina which is only about a mile up the street. All great things and we are already planning to rent the house again next time we decide to go to Crystal River.

The house has all the amenities you can ask for and is very well-maintained. The house had more space than we even needed an could easily accommodate multiple families. The view is absolutely amazing and we enjoyed sitting on the deck watching the water. The pool is large and the perfect temperature for night swims. We brought a boat and kept it at the dock for easy access. For anyone thinking of bringing a boat, be aware that this is not an idle zone and the wakes from passing boats can be an issue if you don't tie your boat up correctly. It's not a big problem but something to keep in mind. Chris was a wonderful host and I would definitely stay here again.

We had four generations of family with us on this trip and the home worked perfectly for us. Everyone had their own bathroom and the extra large dining room table meant we could all sit and eat together. The pool was so warm and we went down 10 minutes down the road to Fort Island beach to watch the sunsets. ALL the beds were very comfortable and having three thermostats in the home meant everyone was very comfortable in the evenings. Would definitely stay here again and again and again.

Had a wonderful stay at the Manatee Manor. Beautiful views of the river and the heated pool was well used. The unit was spacious for a group of 8, with 4 private bedrooms and a backup bunk room. Plenty of furniture inside and out. The owner was responsive to our needs. Thank you Chris.

I own a kayak tour company and we stay at VRBO properties 6 to 8 times a year from 3 days to 8 days at a time. This home is one of the nicest we have stayed at over the years. The location is perfect for paddling right from the back yard. The floor plan allows for socializing but also has room to spread out. The kitchen is better equipped than most of the houses we stay at and this might be the only place we have ever rented that had enough towels and washcloths. The only negative that we had was the cleaning crew was a bit lax after the last quest. When I let the owner know he immediately offered to send them back.. Prompt response to concerns is always a major plus when renting.

We have found an incredible home located on Crystal River. We could not have been happier. Our host, Chris was easy to reach and very accommodating.
The bedrooms were beautiful and fit the online description, no surprises at all! As you enter the home, you feel the expanse as you look out towards a beautiful pool and yard. Chris made special additions such as a cosy area to enjoy a fire at night, a fantastic addition.
The home was perfect for a larger group of friends or family. While we were busy recreating each day, the grounds offered well maintained kayaks and paddle boards as well as a beautiful dock.
Without any hesitation, I would highly recommend a stay at this incredible home on the river!

Came for family celebration of college graduate and went swimming with manatees which was only a few miles from the house. House is beautiful and has plenty of room for adults and kids. Large pool and lots of other activities including kayaking in the river

We had a great time. There were 8 of us and the property worked great for us. One king sized bed in the master was really nice and comfortable. There was another master with 2 beds and a separate kitchen area. That door didn’t open to the pool for some reason but it was fine to use the other door. (3 doors to the pool) There were 2 other bedrooms, each with a queen bed and a shared bathroom. The kids room worked nicely for our 2 little ones. All rooms have a tv which was nice. The pool was a wonderful addition and we really enjoyed it. The location was perfect and close to grocery stores and restaurants. It was great to have the dock and use the canoes and also to be able to fish. Having everything on one level was perfect for us and the house had a great open floor plan.

Our large family enjoyed this beautiful home with a great open layout! The rooms were big and the views to the river were seen everywhere. We enjoyed the amazing pool and loved the firepit area. Even saw some manatees swim by here. The open kitchen area had everything we needed and more.

I don't usually write negative comments on our VRBO stays. Usually I just send a message to the owner/property manager, however while this house and property are a great place to stay for a large family with plenty of space, yard, parking and a great view, the property needs some serious maintenance. The pool deck is small stones and is coming up so it isn't comfortable on bare feet. There are three a/c units in the house and all of the bedrooms run on the warm side. After a little checking the a/c units need air filters changed and cleaned. The den off of the entrance doesn't have a door and the bunkbeds are unsafe for any child over 5 as it is very rickety.

This property is a 5 star rate. It is just as pictured and better. Chris was a great host, very responsive. The view and water access for boating is wonderful. All the extra "toys" are a bonus to have. Cooking in the kitchen with an extra coffee and wine bar makes all the more fun. What would make it better, only one thing, a small ice maker in the coffee/wine bar.
