Beautifully decorated, Serenity Now Beach House lives up to its name! Conveniently located just steps away from the ocean to the east and the waterway to the west, it offers everything you need for the perfect vacation. You will find yourself relaxed and enjoying an authentic beach vacation from the moment you pull into the driveway! Serenity Now is large and comfortable and easily sleeps ten. There are gorgeous beach views from within the home and plenty of decking for sunbathing and outdoor living. Attractive hardwood flooring, wooden cabinetry, and the soothing neutral furnishings of Serenity Now provide the perfect setting for you to rest, relax, and rejuvenate. You will enjoy the open floor plan that allows all your guests to comfortably mingle. The overstuffed leather sofas are the perfect place to read or watch your favorite show on the HDTV while enjoying the ambiance of the decorative fireplace. Of course, scenic views of the ocean and surrounding area can be enjoyed through all the windows. The kitchen is always the place where friends congregate and the kitchen in Serenity Now is sure to impress your guests! Granite countertops and stainless steel appliances add to the appeal and charm of this kitchen! The large bar area provides plenty of seating where quick meals, appetizers, or drinks can be enjoyed. All the utensils and dishes necessary for meal preparation are provided. The only thing missing is you! There is a large table inside to gather around or take your meal outside for open-air dining! After a day of sun and surf, you can retire in the king-sized bed in the master bedroom. Guests will be just as comfortable as you as they enjoy the second and third bedrooms. The kids will love the bunk beds in the fourth bedroom. There are two full bathrooms and two half bathrooms providing plenty of room and privacy for everyone to get ready for the day’s activities. It was a family vacation for Dad’s 60th birthday. We had a wonderful time and would definitely stay again. A couple suggestions would be to clearly post trash day pick up and to upgrade the bed linens. It is a beautiful beach house and worth the stay.

House was exactly as described, in a quieter area of St. Augustine, perfect for a relaxing family vacation, public beach access is walking distance of the house, however you can take your 4x4 on the beach for a small daily fee

We received notification 2 hours before arrival that the downstairs air conditioning was not working and they would place portable cooling units in place until a/c was fixed on Monday. The temp on the second floor level was 85 degrees. Only one unit was put in the house which was incapable of cooking any of the bedrooms. We were told we could receive a refund if we found another rental. There were obviously no homes available with a days notice for our family of 8. We suffered thru Saturday afternoon until Monday evening trying to get airflow to provide some comfort until it was repaired. We purchased $75 fans which did not help. Air conditioning businesses advertise service calls 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Z.

Location to the beach is perfect. The house was clean but the beds could use upgrading. We had some issues but the management took care of them in a timely manner.

Summary of our overall impression: We enjoyed our stay a great deal. In general, the property turned out fine. The kitchen was adequately equipped and served quite well for feeding -6-10 people. Beach access was relatively convenient and the beaches were fine. Access to stores was also good.
However, we do have a couple of suggestions. We don't recall any specific mention that three sets of stairs had to be climbed to get to the very attractive living-kitchen-dining area. Although we were six people in their 70s, we had no trouble negotiating the stairs, but what if we had been people in their 70s with disabilities or even just limited mobility? Someone unable to climb stairs would have been severely challenged. We suggest that some information regarding the adequacy of the property for people with limited mobility would help to avoid any future problems and/or complaints.
Another problem was that when anyone sat or lay on the queen and double bed mattresses in two of the bedrooms it sounded like a wrecking crew was loudly at work. The noise was well beyond ordinary creaking and at times disturbed the sleep of the occupants. Those mattresses should be replaced.
Perhaps a manual with a few more details about where things are in the house would also be helpful. And finally, there really should be an ordinary broom in a house at the beach. We had to haul out the vacuum cleaner to clean up the sand that inevitably got tracked in. A simple broom would have made that daily task much easier.

We absolutely loved the house and location to the beach. With the kitchen and living room being on the top floor this made the views just perfect. All meals, morning coffee and afternoon toddies had the back drop of the beach-just what we wanted. Thank you for having us!

Good property. On the south side of the seawall and will be a 10 min walk to Vilano Beach proper. Furniture and beds could use a refresh. Scissors in the kitchen would be helpful if you cook. I’d rent directly from Vtrips for future to avoid multiple booking fees.

We really enjoyed our stay. This place was perfect for our big family. The outdoor shower was nice and we were just a short walk from the beach. The views from the deck and living area were nice too. The upper floor is very spacious and the kitchen was nice and big. You will get exercise going up and down the stairs but for us it wasn’t a problem. We would definitely come back

Very nice clean home.
This property does have a nice beach view from the balcony but it is across the street from the beach. The pictures and map pin looked more like it was on the beach side of the street in the listing. It wasn’t a far walk from the beach access point so it didn’t wind up making much of difference. The house was clean. The beds and linens were comfortable. There was plenty of seating. The smoke alarm did beep due to a low battery and the water in owners bathroom toilet ran constantly for the first few days of our stay. We called the property management company and these minor issues were addressed in a timely manner. We would absolutely stay here again.

Great location, nice house
Best part of this rental was its location to the private beach. VRBO listing was a bit inaccurate in that there was only one Queen and 1 full size bed in addition to the 4 bunks and king sized master suite, not the 2 queens per the listing. Bunk room is smaller than it appears in the photo. The main floor (top) is one giant great room with kitchen, dining area and seating area. It was wonderful! The outside deck was perfect for sunrises or sunsets. We got our money's worth!! Would rent here again if there were 2 queen beds as advertised.

Great house and location
Easy rental process. Easy check-in. Clear communication from the owners. And the location was fantastic. Gorgeous sunrises from the balcony. 100 yard-walk to a very uncrowded and serene beach. Grocery store less than 5 minutes away. All in all a great property and stay.

Our group of ten enjoyed our Christmas stay in this nicely equipped beach rental. Great location & ocean views. Sufficiently clean upon arrival. Dog friendly including fenced yard. Would recommend. Only suggestion - offer Christmas decoration option & consider new bed mattresses

Beautiful views...bad smells
This property definitely would have received 5 stars. The reason it didn’t was not really their fault but the well water!!!! The surfer smell was so awful. Taking a shower I had to hold my nose and it turned all my silver jewelry brown. I just can’t handle the sulfer smell. Also I wish they would consider wary check in. They wouldn’t even let me check in 15 minutes early. That was disappointing

Recent vacation at Vilano Beach, FL
The property was well maintained and located close to the beach in a nice neighbor hood. The property manager was responsive to any questions or requests we had, the beach was beautiful and with the St. Augustine only a mile or two away we were able to enjoy some evenings in town that added several memories to an already fun time spent together with our family of 7. Greatly appreciated the grill on site as it afforded us the opportunity to prepare some quick and easy meals which gave us more time to at the beach.

Great location, nice home but very dirty.
The house is located in a great neighborhood near the beach downtown St Augustine Publix and several good restaurants. The beach near by was enjoyable and very relaxing. The house itself was nice with an outdoor shower great water views and cool sea breezes from two large sun decks. However, when we arrived, it was obvious to us that the house had not been cleaned. Probably the dirtiest rental I have ever stayed in. House keeping is not doing it’s job. In addition, the mattresses were old and uncomfortable.

Beautiful home with lots to enjoy.
This is a very nice home. It is well appointed, close to the beach, grocery store, dining and historic St Augustine. The kitchen is well stocked. The furniture is comfortable. The two upper decks have nice outdoor furniture and views of the ocean. I have no complaints at all. The only ideas I would share are better shower heads (handheld would be nice) and chairs for the ground floor back deck. I had beach chairs and found it a nice cool place to sit and let the dogs have some yard time. Small dogs could escape the yard if they really wanted to. I used my exercise pen panels to block a couple of spots. As stated by others, there are stairs but they are covered in a type of carpet that gives good non-slip footing. The house is on the point so you can enjoy the waves of the ocean or the calmer waters of the channel and inter coastal side. There is also a large tide pool at low tide. Lots to enjoy.

Wonderful place to vacation!
Serenity Now was the perfect place to get a little R&R. My husband and I stayed for a week with our two little dogs and felt very at home. The views were breathtaking from the 3 rd floor deck. A short half block walk to the beach. Area was very quiet but just a 5 minute drive to shopping and restaurants in downtown St. Augustine. The house was very comfortable and well appointed Loved our stay here. Would definitely come back again.

House was great--close to beach, beautiful view from balconies, comfortable furniture. Very responsive when we called about a housekeeping problem. Suggestions: tighten loose railing from second to third floor; put mat inside second floor entrance. We would return except for the fact that some of us had a difficult time with two flights of stairs. Thank you for a good week at the beach.
