For sanitation reasons, we ask that guests remove trash and start the dishwasher prior to checkout. DISCLAIMERS: Please be aware due to mountain conditions, we cannot guarantee 24/7 wifi as provider outages that are beyond our control sometimes can occur. The hot-tubs are shared amenities and are subject to periodic closure for cleaning/maintenance. There are 3 hot-tubs in the building complex (2 rooftop and 1 indoor), so there is usually at least one that is open. Please be sure to ask us for clarification. ***** Our lead photo shows the jaw-dropping views you will enjoy... right from the living room! Treat yourself to panoramic views from WALL OF GLASS in the living room's soaring 23-foot vault. Amazingly, every piece of furniture was designed and commissioned for these stunning condos. Artists from various regions of Canada hand-crafted each piece and came in to install these works of art. We can confidently say that you will not find another vacation rental with this calibre of furnishings! AT A GLANCE: Aesthetics and comfort are given equal emphasis at The Havens, which are furnished with antique barnwood & log furnishings designed personally by the artist-owner. We are also just a short half block to an integrated creekside trail system that showcases jaw-dropping views of the stunning Canadian Rockies. Walk, hike, bike to your heart's content right outside our front door! The lofts feature 23-foot vaulted ceilings, soaring 8-foot walls of glass flanking a cozy log/river stone fireplace & wireless internet. Enjoy stunning views of the mountains and town... whether you are lounging in bed, relaxing on the sofa, working out in the gym or soaking in the rooftop hot tub! Even though the hot-tub and gym are shared with other occupants of the building, they are rarely crowded because there are 3 gyms and 3 hot-tubs in the building. Every piece of antique barnwood and log furnishing is exquisite and crafted by artisans, earning us a reputation as the area's most sought-after loft for groups who are looking for a vacation experience that's a cut above the rest! Truly stunning vistas that may require hours of hiking in other parks are right on the highway, accessible from the window of your car! Indeed, some of these drives (including the Icefields Parkway drive) are rated as some of the most scenic in the world... Summer Activities: Summer activities are endless: golfing, whitewater rafting, fishing, horseback riding, wildlife-watching, hiking, heli-hiking, ATV expeditions, caving, rock climbing, mountain-biking etc. Bicycling Magazine named the Canmore area as one of 'The 50 Best Trips on Our Planet.' Suffice to say, accolades and activities abound... Drive to Columbia Glacier, the largest non-polar ice-cap in the world, hop on a snocoach and walk on the face of the glacier! Or, for a taste of the Wild West, hop on a wagon picnic excursion or saddle up a horse. Hikers will find thousands of miles of maintained trails. Try heli-hiking, and have a helicopter drop you off at the top of a remote peak, pick you up at the bottom, after you hike down! And then there is golf. With 6 world-class golf courses and 135 spectacular holes nearby, Canmore is a golfer's mecca. Three courses (Stewart Creek, Silvertip and Canmore Golf & Curling Club) are within a few minutes' drive... Winter Activities: Winter is romantic and simply magical. Ice-skate, snowshoe, snowmobile, dog-sled, ice-fish, ski and more, in postcard-perfect surroundings! Follow the tracks of wolves and learn the hunting patterns of owls in snowshoe excursions. Go on a guided ice-fishing expedition in the toasty warmth of heated huts! Enjoy sleigh rides, or let a team of huskies whisk you through breathtaking scenery on dogsleds. Snowmobile through the back roads and wilderness areas. Or soar over the stunning landscapes of the Continental Divide in a helicopter! Then there's world class skiing and snowboarding on dry powder. Banff/Lake Louise was recently voted 'Best Ski Resort of the World' by the London Daily Telegraph! Five downhill ski areas are within easy reach of Birch Haven, with Norquay, Sunshine and Nakiska within a 15-30 minute drive.

Amazing views, easy access to everything, and plenty of space for the group. The 2 condo units are basically identical, which was great as our group was easy to split, but may not be so easy for everyone. The furnishings were quite nice, and eclectic, but also very delicate. It was too cold to use the hot tubs, or ski, but we enjoyed our stay in the havens.

Well appointed condos, with pretty much all one would need for cooking including basic spices. There were six of us staying 3 to a condo and we all gathered in 402 (the bigger more practical table) for meals regularly. Centrally located, steps from two big grocery stores and 20 minutes to Banff. Relatively quiet at night and hosts were responsive. Small areas of improvement: The hot tub was not hot (warm) and the jets did not work. If this would have been a huge deal for us, we would have contacted the hosts who were always responsive. The loft open air bathroom situation (half wall separating toilet from sleeping area) took some getting used to. 4pm check in is awfully late in the day. We would have appreciated an earlier check in time and with a 10:30 check out time (we were out by 9:15 and informed the hosts) it seems a 1 or 2pm check-in should be achievable. All in all a great, nay memorable experience with plenty of instructions on how to operate, recycle, and take out rubbish. Perhaps the best part was the area weather which largely stayed sunny or overcast despite the impending Autumn season.

The townhomes are in a very secure building with a great location. Easily walkable to all the shops and restaurants on Main Street in downtown Canmore. Close to several parks and walking/jogging trails. Plus grocery and liquor stores were located just across the parking lot. There were ample sleeping areas to house a large group and a great view of the mountains from the balcony. On-site parking was very helpful. Of note, this property is on the 4th floor. I don’t know how frequently this happens but the elevator was not working for our entire stay. This was difficult for our group which included my elderly parents, a pregnant woman and a toddler. Additionally the key pad to enter one of the units lost power one night, locking us out of the unit until the property manager was able to arrive. Be advised, the listing advertises it sleeps 12, however there is a flat fee up to 8 people then a per person per night charge after that.

Very comfortable and convenient for us. We could put the children to bed and then the adults all played cards. We made use of the hot tub. Designated parking is a plus. Canmore was so much quieter and less crowded than Banff. It was odd that the upstairs bathrooms were in the bedroom with no door for privacy.

We went to Canmore and Banff with our grown kids. Great location everything you needed was within walking distance for the most part. We loved being able to just walk downtown for a walk or dinner.
