This home is situated in a very quiet neighborhood, within minutes of everything Venice has to offer. The home is tastefully decorated and equipped with all amenities. Very comfortable. I would recommend this property to anyone.

Quaint, great Lanai, birds singing every morning, quiet neighborhood, close to bike paths and parks. Double garage a plus. Very responsive host. We truly enjoyed our stay in the Venice area.

My sister and I were in Venice for 33 days awaiting, then helping care for my new granddaughter! Nice, split floor plan home conveniently located to beaches, shopping and walking trails. Well stocked kitchen, relaxing lanai and a quiet, friendly neighborhood. This property certainly met our needs!

The home was clean and comfortable and met all of our needs. We love to cook our own meals and pack lunches to go to the beach. We loved the location of the home as we were ten minutes from three beaches. The beaches were wonderful and we enjoyed searching for shark teeth. We unfortunately did not have time to use the ferry pass to the private island. We walked on the pier by Sharkeys and enjoyed talking with the locals. We could also bike right out of the neighborhood to the Venetian Waterway Trail which connected to the Legacy Trail. We walked and biked through Shamrock Park. The weather in March was warm and beautiful and we spent a great deal of time biking and at the beach. We rented bikes from Venice Bikes & Trikes. They delivered the bikes to the house and provided on road service if we had any issues. We chose this option as we did not have bike tools and spare tubes for flat tires. VB&T provided excellent service as were very good to work with!! We also enjoyed downtown Venice and had dinner and visited a store called Earth Treasures where the owner Don identified the shark teeth we found. Wonderful town and loved our visit! We had to leave early due to the Corona virus and we were so sad to end our vacation early!! We would definitely return to Venice in future!

Location is everything. Three blocks and your at a wonderful walking and biking park. Any store you want is within three miles. Besides the above the Venice Beach Ferry pass that was available without charge was great. Although the beach isn’t wide(it is fairly long); the short ride to it and the small number of people using it makes it perfect. Tried some of the other beaches in the area and parking is an issue(not at the Venice Beach ferry beach). We did have some issues with the house an informed the owner.

clean. Very comfortable. Well equipped. Quiet area, but very convenient to anything you might need. No negatives! Couldn't have asked for much else. I was there two months... Between houses. Didn't try the 🔥tub. Not my thing😉. Nice back yard. A stellar TEN ! Thank you, Lana.

Great place to spend a month

Great place to spend a month

The south Venice location was perfect for connecting with family and friends in the Venice area. Enjoyed walking and riding bikes in the quiet neighborhood and at wonderful Shamrock Park. There is quick access to the intercoastal walk/bike way from Shamrock Park and Scenic Drive. House was clean and well stocked with kitchenware. Beds were comfortable but I preferred to add another mattress pad over the waterproof covering. The TV options were limited but it was nice to have a TV in the bedroom also. There was a black mold issue in the bathroom by the back door. Owners were going to check it out. Tiny bugs (maybe ants) kept coming back on the kitchen counters even though we were careful to keep them clean. Very convenient having the washer and dryer in the garage. Appreciated the beach chairs and bikes available in the garage too.

We enjoyed our stay in the Venice area. The weather was great. The access to Shamrock Park nature trails and close proximity to beaches added to the fun. The house met our needs. It was equipped with dishes, linens and basics. We liked having a two car garage and the two bedrooms on either side of the house. Svetlana was quick to respond to our inquiries regarding check in and check out directions.

We spent March 2017 in Max and Lana's house in South Venice. It has everything a renter might want: comfortable furniture, plenty of space, garage with bikes and beach gear, screened porch with hot tub, and an amazingly well-stocked kitchen. The bikes can be ridden to Shamrock Park where there are tennis courts, bike paths, and a nature center, or one can access the Venetian Waterway Park which is a bike/walk path along the intracoastal waterway that runs for many miles. The house also includes a pass on the South Venice Beach Ferry that takes passengers across the intracoastal to a section of semi-private beach. South Venice is a large residential neighborhood comprised of modest homes and not much else, so there really isn't anywhere one can bike or walk to aside from those already mentioned; shopping or beaching really involves a car trip. Venice Island (just to the north) has a pleasant downtown with some good Italian restaurants, some interesting shops, and frequent activities like music, art shows, etc. in the main park. It has a reputation of “rolling up the sidewalk” at 8 pm, and we concur that there will not be much to interest singles or kid-free couples. If you go, you should visit Detwilers for fresh seafood, veggies, and deli, visit Captain Eddies for a great seafood lunch under the Tiki hut, and visit Nokomis Grove for citrus and ice cream. Beyond the beach at the ferry, Venice City beach, Nokomis, Casey Key, Manasota Key, and Casperson beaches are easily available by car, and even in March (spring break high season) we had no parking problems at these locations. We would highly recommend this rental home for those wanting a laid-back, stress-free, affordable home for a warm winter holiday.

This cottage turned out to be a great find and fit for our family. We stayed for over a month while in the process of moving to the area from Northern Virginia and used it as a jumping off point for visiting the many beaches along Sarasota's coastline and getting to know our new neighborhood. The children loved the free ferry rides to a private beach, right around the corner from this home as well as the nearby playground and tennis courts at Shamrock Park. My husband enjoyed the hot tub, and we all appreciated the thought that went into the amenities provided, including dishwasher and laundry detergent, spices and paper products. Although they weren't in town at the time, the owners, Max and Lana were very responsive via email to our needs throughout our stay: When a major appliance broke, it was replaced within a day. When it turned out we needed to stay an extra day, Max and Lana arranged for that as well, offering us a discount given the length of our stay. I'd definitely recommend the place to family and friends as a great find here in Venice.

Hello and I hope this review is helpful. First off, Max and Lana were flexible and accommodating and their communication was amazing. We stayed in their home for a little over a month while we searched for a long term rental. Since all of our belongings were in storage we especially appreciative that the home literally had everything we could ask for. The kitchen was equipped with everything my fiancee needed to produce fantastic meals. Plenty of towels and bedding. We also enjoyed the bikes and beach gear that was left for us in the garage. The "florida snow shovels" were especially fun to use while we hunted for shells and shark's teeth at the beach. The home also has a great whole house filtration system that made showers a joy and the RO filter in the kitchen eliminated the need to buy bottled water. If we were ever in need we would not hesitate to book again. This home is a tremendous value.

The home was well appointed, everything you need was there. Nice large master with its own bath, split bedroom so your guest has more privacy. Bicycles were provided, a pass for the south Venice beach which can only be accessed by ferry, screened lanai, internet, washer and dryer. Quiet residential neighborhood. The owners are conscientious, and very accessible by email. My month's stay was a delight.

My family had a wonderful stay at this home. The amenities that we enjoyed were more than advertised by the owner. During the month my wife and I stayed, we went to the beach nearly every morning. There are 3 beaches within 15 minutes of this home, Englewood, South Venice and Venice. Venice Avenue is only a short drive away and there you can find many restaurants, small shops, nightly entertainment and you are a half mile from Venice Beach which also has occasion musical evening entertainment. Plus it is located a half mile from Tamiami Trail which has many more restaurants and shops. The home itself is beautifully decorated, the furniture is very comfortable and has all the small conveniences of your own home! If you are planning a visit to the Venice area this is a must place to stay!

We were looking for a family-size home base for a week of family visiting and beach fun, and this house was perfect. The house was clean, well-equipped, homey, user-friendly, and very well maintained. Would definitely recommend and would strongly consider renting it again if possible next time we spend time in Venice.
