Situated in Mena, this charming cottage for $214 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. The Carriage House Inn’s, The Cottage, located on the National Historic Registered Shaver House estate. The Cottage is the original 1898 carriage house of the historic Shaver home. Guests enjoy their own private Cottage on the historic acre estate. Amenities include: Private parking, access to the Shaver House gardens, with outside dining and grilling areas, hammock, stone cobbled fire pit (marshmallow roast and bon-fire set-up available upon request). One bedroom, one bathroom 1000 sq. ft. cottage with living room, dining room and fully-equipped kitchen. Upstairs Bedroom with a King Size bed and picturesque window overlooking Rich Mountain. Eat-in Kitchenette equipped with stove, range, microwave, fridge/freezer, plates, glasses and cutlery. Living Room includes full-size couch, oversized chair, TV/DVD, writing desk and rocking chair. For extended stays, weekly housekeeping will be provided. All guests enjoy complimentary Wi-Fi. Walking distance from Janssen Park and Historic Downtown Mena: Spas, Boutiques, Antiques, Art Gallery, Theatre, Old Fashioned Ice Cream Shop, Coffee Shops, Diner, Restaurants, Grocery Store, Farmer’s Market, Library, Hiking and Biking Trails and more. We make periodic visits to Mena and ever since discovering The Carriage House Inn a few years ago this is our go-to place to stay. The hosts, Ashley and Scott are wonderful and they strive to provide the best possible guest experience.

We didn't go to Arkansas in search of a diamond, but we found a five star diamond in Mena Arkansas. The Carriage House exceeded our expectations. My husband and I have visited 49/50 States and this is the cleanest place we've stayed in. If we’re ever in Mena Arkansas we will definitely stay at the Carriage House.

We absolutely LOVED our stay at the Carriage House - it was so perfect for us! This is our 3rd stay although first time we got to stay in the actual Carriage House. Our previous visits, we stayed in the Parisian Suite and another time in the Sonoma Suite - we loved both of those as well. The Carriage House was perfect - so cute, completely clean and had everything we needed for our stay - fully stocked kitchen - (the cutest fridge and toaster), super cozy bed! The grounds are so nice - our family stayed there as well in another unit and it was just perfect. We really didn't want to leave! We will not stay anywhere else while in Mena! And, the welcome cookies are such a nice welcome treat - and are delicious too!

Charming
The property was simply charming, the Carriage House was clean, beautifully done with plenty of room and fully equipped with everything you need. The grounds were lovely with beautiful plantings, a waterfall, hammock, axe throwing block and lots of outdoor seating, even chickens! Property is very close to downtown with ample restaurants and shops, including an art gallery. The owner was very friendly plus took the time to show me the other units for rent. We are going back to Mena next month for a car show and renting the Carriage House again!

Loved this property! Plus...you get the use of the beautiful grounds....we sat under the white lights at night in the midst of the pretty landscaping....rock paths, etc. A lovely place to stay! Very clean, a comfy bed, nice towels and linens....overall a great experience!

The perfect stay!
This beautiful property is located perfectly in town, near shops, restaurants, and the city park. The aesthetic of the home is very calm and peaceful. Comfortable bed and cozy seating in the living room. The yard was perfect for a stroll with coffee in the early morning. There was snow and ice outside our front door our first morning, so the host came out early and spread some salt to keep us from slipping, which I thought was very nice of him! Easy check in, great parking, and all the right amenities in the home. Will definitely stay at any place on the property again, and highly recommend this experience if you’re planning a trip to Mena!

The best!
Before arriving to the cottage Ashley had provided an amazing list of places to eat and visit during our stay. When we arrived we were immediately greeted by Scott, he made sure we had everything we needed for our stay.
The cottage was beautifully decorated and extremely clean. In the kitchen we had the most amazing chocolate chip cookies waiting. We would drive another 5 hours to stay one night just for those cookies.
On the last night the tornado sirens went off and Scott was at our door guiding us to the shelter. We met the entire family including their two dogs!
Scott and Ashley, you are amazing and we can’t wait to stay again!

The Carriage House was quaint, cozy, and clean. We had a great time on our getaway. I loved getting to visit the chickens and the cats. It was very easy to check in and out. We had everything we needed and it was close to many different things to do.

Everything about the property was excellent. Very nice place and well maintained. Only wish the bathroom and bedroom were on the same level. Walking down and up a long flight of stairs in the night was not fun. It would be great if a toilet could be added to the upper level.
