The location was perfect for our stay and the property is stunning. Communication with the host was easy and efficient.
The Tin Shack, with all its potential, is not looked after well and needs some serious TLC. It has not been kept up. Images are misleading and the same furniture is not in the house. It is not clean.

Excellent location - far enough out the hustle and bustle of the town, yet close enough to pop in to town each day.
Peaceful, tranquil, cosy, well equipped with everything you need!
We do not have a high-rise vehicle so, at times, the driveway to the cottage was a bit tricky to maneuver over. Having said that though, we did make it to and from the cottage each day - it just took some very careful driving!

The VIEWS were incredible! Some of the best in the Berg. We loved the cabin, it was cosy and quaint. The position on the dam was wonderful with stunning views. We enjoyed the fire place and the little wooden deck. There were games to play for our daughter as well, which was great. We thoroughly loved the vibe and the peace and quiet!
Our only complaint was the main bed, it was very hard - personal preference of course.

The view, the water is nice. Love the games and puzzles
Swatted flies on the microwave.. hard bed, no doom or any insect repellant. Room heater does not work. No steak knives to eat with. No brush to clean braai.

Great location with lovely views. Just off the road but quiet and very convenient as we were overnighting on a trip.

We loved the location, the accommodation itself and all of the extras (i.e. all the games, books etc.) supplied.
The owners gave us great recommendations.

The log cabin is perfect for the surroundings, the view is amazing and there is all one needs in the cabin. The fireplace inside makes the cabin so cozy.

The bass fishing was great.
The host was friendly and accommodating.
Photos did not depict the true state of the inside of the shack.
Yellow milestone 11 not visible from the road due to vegetation overgrowth.
Health and safety hazards:
- Nails sticking out of the wooden deck.
- No lights or handrail by the rickety flight of stairs.
- No warning about the bathroom entrance being too low.
Kitchen ill equipped with no thermometer in the gas oven, no numbers or indicators on the stove and oven knobs.
Not enough plug points or should at least provide multi plugs at all the plug points so phone chargers, fans/heaters and bedside lights can all be plugged in at once.

The beautiful scenery and it is very private
It didnt feel so clean, some of the bedding had dirty marks, the kitchen cutlery and utensils werent all clean

Great location with amazing views. Rustic but everything one needs to be comfortable. Nice walks around the farm. Quiet and private. Definitely want to go back
