This charming three bedroom home offers a private "local" experience in one of Maui's rare oceanfront neighborhoods. With idyllic views of the ocean and sunsets, this home promises many unforgettable memories. Our clean and cozy home is complete with all you need and will make your transition from daily life into a vacation as seamless as possible. A third bathroom is available and doubles as the laundry room. GE & TA taxes will be added to the nightly rate. One time cleaning fee of $475 also added at booking. We went back and forth about taking this trip at all. We started planning in March, and agonized over where the best place to stay would be. We were initially looking to stay on the west side of the island... then came the Lahaina fires. I had booked a place 7 miles west of the worst hit areas, and once again we were looking at not taking this trip. I thought we would take one more shot at finding something on the south side of Maui... and I found this house on Hamala St. Nothing could have been better suited for our trip. There were six of us... myself and my wife, my adult son and his girlfriend, and our two younger kids... 9 and 14. The home itself is a very simple cottage. It felt like a family home, without any pomp or pretense in any way... then came the location. I can't possibly say enough about the location of this home. The pictures don't even come close to doing it justice, it's literally one of the most photogenic places I've ever stayed. There are few better places on Maui to watch the sun set, it's very private feeling, great for seeing stars every night, and waking up to the surf in your back yard was absolute perfection. I've got a number of close friends who live on Maui, and they were all quick to say that we couldn't have done better in any way. They see various parts of the island everyday, but all fell in love with this spot on Hamala St. It was a super easy spot to get to and from the airport, and ideal for daytrips anywhere on Maui.

The photos don’t do this place justice. Right on the beach, had sea turtles visit the first night. Sad to be leaving for our next destination. Perfect view of the sunset.

The location of this beach house is wonderful! It is right on the ocean! The house was very clean and well stocked. The only issue would be the 3rd bathroom is located in the laundry room which isn’t connected to the house. Even with that minor issue, we couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay in Maui.

Fantastic ocean view from the house. The place had everything we hoped for our family visit; it was a quiet neighborhood, yet close to coffee shops, restaurants, and beaches. Kim was fantastic at helping me out after my stay at the house, finding another property to rent for my delayed flight. I can’t thank you enough for the memories with my family…

We were a group of 5 adults, 3 staying for the first time in Maui. The house is older but was very clean and comfortable. The property is quiet and the ocean views and sunsets were spectacular. We watched whales and turtles from the patio. There are several access points nearby to get to the sandy beach, where in the mornings you could see lots of resting turtles. The location was perfect for day trips to any part of the island, and was close to everything you need. We had a very enjoyable vacation and would recommend this property. Kim, the property manager, was very responsive. Thank you.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay at this property. Location was close to everything you need, The check in and out process was so easy and the house was very clean and equipped with everything you need in a home away from home. Kim the property manager was so nice and very responsive with our needs.
Though the pictures were a little misleading as we thought we would have beach access right from the back yard, you need to walk on street about 4 houses down to access the beach, which was not a huge problem and the sunsets and ocean views from the back yard were breath taking and definitely made up for it.
We would definitely recommend this property.
Only small recommendation to property management / owners would be to have grill cleaned upon arrival and also have outside surrounding lights around lanai area fixed, or add outdoor lighting to create better ambience while enjoying after dark relaxation on lanai area.

As repeat visitors to Maui, I’m happy to report that this vacation home has offered the best balance of comfort, value, and an unsurpassed ocean view of any place we’ve stayed.
Being able to sit on our own private lanai and enjoy quiet, world class sunsets is an experience my family and I will never forget.
The house isn’t elegant, but it is clean, comfortable, and nicely furnished. For the very reasonable price, I don’t think it’s possible to find a nicer vacation home anywhere in Hawaii.

This was a peaceful home base for our group (two couples) to regroup between excursions and just spend time relaxing. The back patio is the best room in the house. We saw whales and sea turtles on a regular basis while watching the waves crash and drinking in colorful sunsets. There is a short walk to beach access a few houses down. It is difficult and dangerous to swim directly off of the property itself, but the very short walk to a lovely beach is worth it. We did have a few bugs and a little scorpion visit inside the house and escorted them out with a few screams, but we took it in stride as part of life on Maui. Thank you for sharing your peaceful and private piece of paradise with us.

We loved staying at this property! It was just as described and we are going to look at staying here again sometime! We had one issue with the bbq and it was completely replaced so we were able to cook with it the rest of our vacation! Overall, amazing!!!

Cute home on a quiet street. Roomy rooms. More than enough parking. Location - walkable to everything - parks, groceries, restaurants, and local businesses.
Of course, that’s if you actually want to leave the house. The views are everything! Sprawling yard from covered back patio to beach. We spent most of our time relaxing, overlooking or in the water.
House was clean, had everything we needed, from spices, dishes, and toiletries, to beach chairs and coolers.

Loved the location, and the yard was amazing. With two little ones, the back yard was perfect to enjoy the beach without all the mess of the sand. We would come back year after year if we could. Kim was great and very communicative before and after. Thanks for a fantastic part of our Hawaiian vacation.!

Nice location with very few people on the beach. The yard is higher than the beach with stone steps on one side which can’t be used during high tide. Nice patio and grill. House had everything we needed. Beach chairs, kitchen basics and plenty of things like soap etc. only thing we didn’t like was having to wash, dry and fold all towels before leaving. Day of checkout and we are trying to get all that done while getting showers ect.

The backyard is beyond heavenly. It’s a place to destress and find peace. The cottage is in a quiet residential neighborhood with the friendliest neighbors. Every amenity was provided. Kim was very responsive. The house is a bit older but has everything you need to be comfortable and have a magical Maui vacation.

Live everything about this property but the beach access. I wish there were stairs down to the beach. Beautiful views, the house had everything we beeded and more. Kids didn't mind walking to the beach.
