This highly sought-after 4-bedroom, 3-bathroom home is perfect for the vacation of your dreams! It is very new and very spacious for a comfortable vacation experience. It`s hard not to love. From the aerial photograph, you can see what a beautifully green and spacious yard you will have, so feel free to bring your pets! The home also has its own private TIKI bar and an outdoor pool. The direct access to the water is ideal for fishing, trips to the sandbar, or even great for evening boat rides to a few local restaurants where you can dock and dine! The location is phenomenal. The beach is practically your next-door neighbor so guests can walk to the beach with ease. This house offers phenomenal views from the porches. If you are renting over the 4th of July THIS HOME IS IDEAL. You don`t need to worry about beach parking, the fireworks look fantastic from the decks, and your dock will give you the fastest access to the waters in front of the beach where many boats park for the day. Although you may never want to leave this fabulous home, there are many other activities around town. Located directly in the middle of the Keys, nothing seems to be too far away. Spend a night on Duval St., watching the sunset at Mallory Square in Key West, or go play mini-golf at Boondocks. There are also many attractions in town that you couldn't experience anywhere else. Some people may be shocked to drive past a turtle hospital. Yes, we have one! Stop in for a unique and fun time. Experience our little piece of SeaWorld by visiting the Dolphin Research Center. You can tour the location and even swim with the dolphins. There are also national parks with kayaking and biking trails. Don`t forget the famous historic Seven Mile Bridge. It is a must-see for all first-time Florida Keys Vacationers. Please note that if you plan to travel with a boat, we can only allow that ONE boat will be able to fit at the dock. Please be sure you are familiar with the dock size and do not assume more than one watercraft can be secured at the property during your stay. You cannot RAFT boats to one another, this is against local code ordinance and the neighbors will be sure to report to the code department resulting in an interruption in your stay. This can be easily avoided. Also, although this home is considered “Pet Friendly” you are required to select this option when booking your reservation if you choose to have a pet occupying the home. You will be required to pay a one-time $150 pet fee that is non-refundable. Failure to follow these guidelines will result in a forfeiture of your security deposit. We had a wonderful week in this home. It is great to walk right to the beach. The home was comfortable and had everything we needed.

My family loved this house. The heated pool was used every day during our December stay. Sombrero Beach is a very short walk away. We really enjoyed the central location for our day trips to Key West, Duck Key spa, and state parks. I highly recommend this house and hope to stay here again myself.

Overall we had a nice stay at this property. The location is great with anything that you’d need close by. The house itself is nice and large. It had a few minor niggles, like we had to keep adding water to the pool. One curtain rod screw slipped, but nothing major. We would stay here again if we were staying in Marathon.

Older property, some minor issues. Location is great for fishing trips. Parking in the shade, and adequate boat trailer parking. Beach in walking distance. Good size bait freezer and stand-alone refrigerator at the outdoor bar .

Comfortably fit multiple generations and so close to the beach that it was easily walkable even for the seniors of our group

Needs Updating, Treacherous canal!
Large home in need of some TLC. Spent first day cleaning kitchen and spraying air-freshener. Damp smell may be due to carpets upstairs. House on canal that was littered with trash, stunk, and nearly impossible to navigate at low tide. If you have a 20' vessel or bigger this place may not be for you. On the bright you are in the keys and the location makes up for this house's shortcomings.

The house is supposed to sleep 10 but there is only a twin and full bed in that room, two queen beds would be nice in there. Really enjoyed the pool and walks on the beach every day. I can definitely see us continuing to come back to this property!

Due to it’s central location this home was great for many activities in the Keys! The neighborhood was quiet and the home was less than a two minute walk to one of the most beautiful beaches in the Keys, Sombrero Beach!
The home itself was spacious, 4 bedrooms & 3 baths, for 6 adults to not feel on top of each other and had large bedrooms with comfortable beds.
The pool was a nice addition with a cabana and a grill for cooking out! A nice second floor deck to look out over the canal.
What more could you ask for in the Florida Keys! What a wonderful place to relax and enjoy a vacation!

Paradise in the Keys
Due to it’s central location this home was great for many activities in the Keys! The neighborhood was quiet and the home was less than a two minute walk to one of the most beautiful beaches in the Keys, Sombrero Beach!
The home itself was spacious, 4 bedrooms & 3 baths, for 6 adults to not feel on top of each other and had large bedrooms with comfortable beds.
The pool was a nice addition with a cabana and a grill for cooking out! A nice second floor deck to look out over the canal.
What more could you ask for in the Florida Keys! What a wonderful place to relax and enjoy a vacation!

However, the house needs a bit of work. The pool was leaking and very dirty. We added water daily (plus they had the faucet set on a timer to add water). We also had some animals living with us and eating our food. I did call the management company and they were prompt in getting pest control to come to the house. Traps were set but nothing was caught.
Another negative for elderly people renting the house, the railing for the upstairs bedrooms does not have a handrail to the top of the stairs. My parents (78 years old) chose one of the upstairs bedrooms)

Enjoyed our week in the keys. The house could use a little up dating, but over all was clean and comfortable. We loved the short walk to the beach and the quite neighborhood. Some of the best seafood we had was at Keys Fisheries. It doesn’t look like much but the food was excellent and the staff was very friendly .

The house is clean and really comfortable and the check in/checkout process was simple.
The photos of the house and pool are definitely old as the colors are faded and some of the patio furniture is different than pictured. Also roof deck is no longer up like it shows in one of the photos.
Only thing I would change would be to have pool supplies available like a net and a scrubber to help keep the pool clean.
Overall worth every penny we spent!

Great family vacation
Easy check in process at a great location. House was large to accommodate our group. Entrance to canal was shallow and hard to maneuver at low tide. Loved the roof top deck and kitchen has any utensil we needed. Wonderful place to stay!

Fleas not acceptable for renters!
The upstairs was infested with fleas and the air conditioner on the first floor did not work properly. When I called Monday morning is when we should have been moved. We should not have had to wait 2 days and call a second time. Also, as a first time renter with VRBO, you should list all rules for staying in your houses. I was not prepared to buy toilet paper, trash bags, and laundry soap. The futon did not have sheets on it even though we told you 10 adults were staying there and there were no pillows to be found for the those who needed to sleep on the futon. We used the couches and the couch pillows instead. I can not believe guests are told to remove their own sheets from the beds, gather all towels, put all in the laundry area and start a load of laundry. I came on vacation to not do household shores but instead, had to work any way and pay a cleaning fee. If I had know all this before booking, I would have stayed in a hotel.

Awesome location
We had a terrific time with our entire family—daughters, son, spouses and grandchildren. Proximity to the beach was very convenient. We loved the pool and the layout of the home. The only area for improvement we would suggest is to have more accessories for the guests to enjoy such as rafts, lifejackets and sun umbrellas. We purchased these while there so it all worked out OK. We definitely would rent it again.

Marathon beach house
I come down and visit marathon every year from the metro Detroit area, and this house ranked as one of our highest most luxury stay. Clean on arrival with everything needed for a vacation house

Awesome!
The house was awesome and accommodated our family very well. The observation deck was a plus, and the sunsets from the deck were awesome. The interior of the house was great, and had a well equipped kitchen. The pool was a bit on the hot side; however, after calling the realtor, the issue was promptly fixed.
The only downside to the property was the water depth at the entry to the channel and at the dock.
Sombrero Beach was a short walk from the house. Publix was only 1 1/2 - 2 mile drive from the house.

Awesome stay!
Everything was amazing. We loved the pool, beach proximity and the ability to dock our boat. We had 3 families with 5 adults and 5 kids which worked out perfectly with room setup. We had one small issue with the toaster not working. We sent a text message to the rental agency and an hour later had a toaster delivered. Great service! We definitely recommend, you will not be sorry. ;-)

Great location and excellent property.
This property just worked perfectly for two families of five for a week. Large enough for everyone to have their own space but small enough to keep a sense of intimacy for a family Christmas. Short walk to Sombrero beach. Short drive to groceries. Early morning in the pool and a wrap around deck where you could always find either sun or a gentle breeze with a book. Four good sized bedrooms, three bathrooms and a kitchen well enough equipped to cover meals for ten. Highly recommended.

Great Place to enjoy Marathon!
This home was large enough for our whole family!! Very short walk to Sombrero Beach and just minutes from the ocean by boat. We loved our stay and will be back next year.
