Situated in Surf City, this attractive house for $387 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. Beautiful beach house, with lots of porches for outdoor living and open living so the whole gang can be together with pently of room. Surf City is a thriving beach community located at the heart of historic Topsail Island. The beaches are gorgeous and always a wonderful way to spend the day. 'NANA'S DREAM' BEACH HOUSE is located just a short walk to the beach access. Topsail Beach and North Topsail Beach are located on the island within easy access. For those with a flare for the bigger city, both Jacksonville and Wilmington are within a half hours drive. The master bedroom and the living room have color cable TVs with DVD players. Fantastic first ever beach trip with my family! Highly recommend Nana’s! The owner was extremely helpful and upfront with all the rules and policies. Beautiful home! Such a relaxing vacation! The decorations in the home were a very nice touch to the home. It was an amazing vacation and definitely will be going back again! Thank you again for the opportunity!

The property was exactly what we expected and very accurately represented in the listing. Lynne was very communicative to let us know about some important info with an ongoing repair prior to our arrival. Excellent communication as needed during our stay. We loved the location. The front and back decks were perfect with stunning views at all hours of the day. We truly enjoyed our stay.

2 yrs since seeing the grands and 14yrs missing our Topsail vacations. Nana's Dream was the perfect home away from home to meet up and enjoy the beach. Clean, well-equipped, easy access & communication, short walk to uncrowded beach just north of Surf City. Short drive to Wilmington, Kure Beach and Southport for more sightseeing. Would definitely stay again! Thanks Lynne!

Cute place that’s close to the beach and everything else. Grocery stores are about 10 minutes away. The house was clean and well maintained. You do have to cross a busy road to get to the beach by walking and since the house sits on the busy road you do hear the traffic noise and loud cars at night as well but other than that it’s a great stay.

A lovely open floor plan house with good views. Close to public beach access, shipping and restaurants. The only drawback is it is on a very busy street. We will stay again.

Myself, my daughter, son and niece all had a wonderful time. The house was perfect for us. Loved especially the sunsets outback and sunrises out front. Our favorite thing I would say was the location. To be able to see the ocean from both front decks and have just a short walk to the beach every day was phenomenal. I contacted Lynne a couple times with some questions and she was very quick to answer back. We would absolutely come back again in a heartbeat!

This house has been by far the best place we’ve ever stayed at for vacation. From the moment we first walked in, we knew that we found the perfect place. It was so nice and comfortable with an amazing ac unit running. Loved the openness of the living room and kitchen. The walk to the beach was a breeze. Kids had a blast and loved the house that they even told us they want to come back to this beach house next year. We thoroughly enjoyed all the decks with different levels of views. Another plus note, was nice having a charcoal grill on the sound side to grill some fresh seafood off of topsail island for dinner with some beautiful sunsets. Thank you Lynne

The location of the property and layout was great for our family. We enjoyed easy access to the beach and spending evenings sitting on the decks watching the ocean. The kitchen had all the needed items to allow us prepare meals in the home for several of the evenings we were in Topsail.
Our issues were with communication with Lynn. We did not receive the needed information to check into the property 24 hours in advance as stated in the listing. I reached out on our drive and requested the code to open the key box and received no response. When we arrived at the property, I finally had to call Lynn to get the combination and she seemed very annoyed with our call. Keep in mind we were standing in the rain in front of the property when I called her. We then had to reach out for the WIFI password and finally received the message with the check in information with no apology for the delay or trouble it caused. This was only the beginning of our issues with Lynn. When we checked out and returned home, she kept a substantial portion of our deposit and accused us of not returning furniture to its original locations. Her justification stated, "The green recliner was not put back in it's original position and you could tell that it had been moved as it left prints on the carpet and was not put back on the prints. The blue recliner was half on the carpet, and it does not sit on the carpet. The coffee table was not in the center of the couch but off to one side." We were aware the furniture needed to be "as it was when we entered the home". But we, like most families, did use the furniture which meant that it might not have aligned with "marks on the carpet" upon our departure. It is obvious from Lynn's comments that her true desire was for us to not move the furniture (even an inch). Without living in the home, there was no way for us to know that furniture may have ended up a few inches from its original location and that those few inches would cost us a total of $75. In addition to the charge for "moving" the furniture, she also charged us for a supposed repair to a dishwasher that she claimed had been pulled from the cabinet. We had no issues with the dishwasher, though like the furniture, we did use the dishwasher. The kitchen is a bit dated, and the dishwasher is by no means new. A loose dishwasher should not be attributed to one family but to general upkeep of a beach rental. BEWARE of Nana!

We enjoyed our stay, it was clean, roomy and we loved the porches. My family of 5 vacationed for a week, the roomy kitchen allowed for us to prepare our dinners and play games at the large table at night.

My family had a great time here. It's a quick walk to the beach. The owner was very accommodating. It was raining during a good portion of our stay, and the owner offered a later checkout time so we could have more time on the beach when it was sunny.

We had a great time at Nana’s Dream. The house was spacious, comfortable, and clean. The open floor plan in the common area/first level was great for cooking and hanging out as a group. The furniture was extremely comfortable, especially the reclining easy chairs (great for Netflix in the evening after a long day at the beach). The kitchen was well furnished with all necessary utensils and cooking equipment. The house is on the quieter northern end of the island; we had no issues with crowding or noise in the area. The beach is about a three-minute walk from the house, and there is a view of the ocean from the house front porch (the back deck also has a great view of the sound and sunsets each evening). Lynne was very easy to work with and provided all instructions and information in advance of our arrival. She was also very easy to get in touch with throughout the week – coordinating with her couldn’t have been easier. We had a great week in Surf City and would love to stay at Nana’s Dream again. Highly recommended!

A charming house with rear views of the bay and off the front porch, you can see the ocean about 2 blocks away. And the public access is right there. There was also a second story porch off two of the three bedrooms with ocean views.
The kitchen was stocked with most of the hardware you would need to cook. Beds were comfortable and the open concept main floor made for a great family trip with two small kids and 4 adults.
I would rent this place again.

This beautiful home was in a great location, was bright and clean with a lovely beachy decor and was well stocked with anything and everything you might need.
The two front decks were awesome with an ocean view, and the back deck was perfect for sunset viewing. The host Lynne was easy to reach and pleasant and accommodating.
We highly recommend this property!

Our family of 4 stayed here and the house was terrific. There was more than enough room and having 2-1/2 baths was great. The location could not be beat. It was a short two block walk to the beach. Both decks have great views and we spent most of our evenings on the upper deck enjoying the breeze. Restaurants and stores were a short drive away. Lynne was fantastic to work with. She was very responsive to my questions which was great considering we traveled during the pandemic. She was able to keep us up to date on the local situation so we knew if it was worthwhile to travel at all. This place was definitely worth the stay. I wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you for a great break at the ocean Lynne!!!

You can see the ocean from the front deck and the beach access is in walking distance. The bedrooms are great and with 2 1/2 bathrooms, it worked at well, even with 8 women! We absolutely loved Surf City and Nana’s Dream. We had 2 adults and 4 teens and had plenty of room. Everything was very clean and well stocked. I have absolutely no complaints and would recommend this home to anyone. There is a view of the ocean from the front deck and the walk to the beach takes only a minute. Very quiet but plenty to do. Great for families with kids of any age.

This property was impeccably furnished and maintained. So pleased with the location with close proximity to the beach. The large front porch and furniture were so nice. Bedding and towels included and everything we needed in the kitchen. Also ample parking for 5÷ cars. We will definitely be staying again.
