The property was just as described and pictured. There were 28 of us in all for a family reunion. The property manager was very kind and responsive to the minor issues we had. In my opinion, the kitchen wasn’t “fully stocked” enough for 28 people with things like serving dishes, sharp/steak knives, plates etc. and was missing minor things like a peeler, and cork screw which we just purchased and left there, so they have them now :)
The bathroom in the downstairs room with the bunk beds is not functional and we assume that is what caused the sulfur smell in that room. The kids slept on the couches, of which there were plenty.
The upstairs room and loft in the large house were wonderful. Eleven of us sat together on the oversized couch that last night to watch a movie, and it was cozy and lovely.
Since we were there in winter, we didn’t spend much time on the porch, but the view was still beautiful from inside and there are very large windows all along the wall and porch to see and enjoy the lake. The sunsets and sunrises were amazing to watch even from inside.
I agree with other reviewers that the property itself could really use some TLC and updating. It was nothing that affected our stay though.
The cottage is colorful and cute! I think it is set up so kids might be in the bunk bed room, but logistically for us, an adult was in that room, so be aware that to get to the one bathroom from the King bedroom, you have to go through the bunk bed room.

We have stayed at many different vacation rentals as
Our family gets together every year. This was a great location with lots to do on the property. From pickle ball and tennis, to swimming, to going out on the lake (bring your own equipment/boat - we planned ahead). This easily accommodated our 15 people. Do plan ahead for flatware. There was not enough for a large contingent. We brought plastic ware so not an issue. The owner was very responsive. We will be back!

After initial distress, we really enjoyed our time together in the pool, on the tennis/Pickleball court, around the table and on the porch! The bunk room bathroom was not functional which could have been a problem but some of our family was unable to come so we moved mattress upstairs to allow easier access to bathrooms. Ronnie was very responsive when we asked questions or needed help. We rented a pontoon boat to take into the lake which was so fun. Kitchen was equipped to handle all of our cooking. The two separate houses worked well as some people are early risers and others not. House could use some TLC - screen repair and more thorough cleaning, but we had a wonderful time being together here.

Little communication and inaccuracies in property description / photos. Look at the photos then add 10 years without sufficient cleaning or maintenance. House: you can squeeze 16 at table, not 20; "screen porch" screens torn up; refrigerator / washer / dryer very small; towels motel quality/size/quantity & no pool towels; beds in basement are rickety and that floor is (literally) crawling with bugs -- not unexpected when basement level includes boulders and poor interface between indoors & out; visible dirt on stairs; moved sofa cushions to find a phone and instead found pretzels and toy pieces from previous guests. Cottage: you go through "third bedroom" to get to king room; kitchen is barren of supplies. Outdoors: tennis & pool nets are tattered; tennis court cracked; canvas tarp held down with rocks covering hot tub; decking in various states of disrepair with yellow tape marking (some) transitions; no ladder out of pool; trash strewn around property (not blown there in wind; left there); fire pit on wooden deck (???). Broken: multiple chairs, sofa surface, sprayer on sink, screens, blinds, pool gate, most of pool cues. Couldn't find: more than 1 broom, fire extinguisher.
Sure we had fun but that was just being together. We can rough it with the best of them; would just like to have an accurate idea of the place we are going to.
Windstorm came through, large tree fell across road & power out about 15 hours; owner minimally helpful.

Our family (27ppl) had a wonderful time at this property over the 4th of July holiday. Our family enjoyed the pool, hot tub, pool table, multiple porches, and taking a (rented) boat out on the lake. The property did feel a bit like a "camp" experience which was fine for our family but maybe not a fit for everyone. The downstairs bathroom was not working, the beds/mattresses were not in great condition, and it was a bit disappointing that they didn't supply pool towels. But, other than those few things, the property was great for our family reunion. The AC worked very well considering how hot it was outside and all of the outdoor seating and activities were a hit with our family!

We stayed at this property a few weeks ago for a large annual family reunion “Lake Week”. We had been gathering in VA for the past 6 years, but since many of us now live in the south, we decided to try this property in GA given the number of amenities. Overall, our experience was positive. The sunsets were beautiful, the main house was large and both houses were clean and the linen fresh. The pool was the biggest hit and the pool deck has been enlarged since the pictures on their site were posted. Some of the amenities were not operational (the hot tub was green and smelled fishy, the tennis court net crank was broken so the net was only a foot tall and there were no operational lights). The overgrown landscaping could use some work and the shoreline needs some cleaning up (visible metal chairs in the water and no ladder to get out). The kitchens could be better stocked (cookie sheets, serving platters, wine opener, etc.) Despite large tears in the screens on the side porch, the bugs were not bad at all. The pictures need to be updated and the bed count needs to be accurate (Bathroom in the basement is permanently closed, no fold-out sofa in the cottage and no beds in the loft). Overall, I feel the property could use some TLC for the money being charged but I will say the owners were easy to work with when we needed something.

Our family enjoyed our stay at the large Lake Jackson Compound. Ample room for our 14 adults and 17 children of all ages. Great deck views of lake. Pool and Tennis court were awesome and lake fishing off dock fun. Large house had good amount of Towels, dishes, and cooking utensils, while cottage did not. Cottage had many missing lighbulbs, no towels, no large serving utensils, few pans, and no broom. All beds were very comfortable with ample pillows and linens. Closest grocery store 25 min away. We rented a pontoon boat nearby for a day and kids loved rafting off it. Overall property was nice but could use larger refrigerators, better cuboard cleaning, deck nailing secured better, hot tub directions, and some general updating.

We had a great stay and would do so again. Loved the tennis courts and hot tub. Kids rode scooters and ran around enclosed courts which was great for parents We do have a suggestion- owner should review property before we get there to make sure everything is there where instructions say. Example: broom was missing so we had to contact owner who went and bought one, first aid kit wasn’t found and we did end up needing a bandaid which I had in my purse. It smelled like sewer because the downstairs toilet leaked and the problem has been ongoing according to plumber- it couldn’t be fixed so we ended up not having a bathroom downstairs in the bunk room with our little kids.

This place was so much bigger than we had anticipated! The house had everything we could possibly need and more. Really enjoyed being able to stay there for several days and never felt bored. Fantastic sunset and lake views!

This was an awesome home for our family, there were 16 of us. It had the perfect lay out of bedrooms, kitchen had pretty much anything you needed to cook. I believe we used every amenity on the property. The tennis matches we had day or night (lights) !! Boys loved playing basketball and my grandkids had fun on the play ground. After sports or sight seeing the pool was our designation to cool off and get in a couple volleyball games. Let's not forget the pool table in the basement. Just so much right at your finger tips.
Being able to watch the most beautiful sunsets from the deck, or the dear that played around the grounds made this trip even better. Can't say enough about the host Ronnie!! When he says "he is there to serve" that's exactly what he does. Our family will defiantly be back....
Helpful hints: for boaters we were unable to use the covered boat house. We docked one on the side and kept one on the trailer. (Maybe see if owner can remove his boats) For the grills, the Green Egg doesn't work, the other needs cleaning (we put foil dwn)
Even with these few small things, I can't say enough good things about this house, you truly won't go wrong!

The bones are SO good. There needs to be a little more attention to updating. It would be great if there was a row of hooks in the main hallway of the big house to hang up hats and bags. We had SUCH a good time.

We had an amazing time for the 4th of July! The property has something for everyone! Spent most of the time in the pool with the kids and playing basketball on the tennis court. Ronnie was super accommodating and quick to respond. Thanks for everything Ronnie! Hope to see you again!

House was clean and had everything we needed. Pool was nice and heavily utilized. Owner was very responsive. Play set, tennis courts, and basketball hoop were great. Saw many deer. Lots of stairs between main house and pool area- those with mobility concerns should discuss with the owner. Rented a pontoon boat to go out to the main lake- much cleaner than the river. We brought our own kayaks and stand-up paddle boards though and took them out on the river quite a bit.

My family and I had a great time at the lake house New Year’s week & weekend. There were a few hiccups but, nothing that would keep us from booking again if our next gathering is in Georgia. There was plenty of space for indoor and outdoor activities. Ronnie was attentive whenever we called and whatever the need. Our suggestion for families using the space is to purchase more than enough of whatever you need ahead of check-in. The nearest fully stocked store is 20 to 30 minutes away.

Ronnie was great, very communicative and responded quickly to any and all questions. We rented this property to bring 2 families together do Thanksgiving, we had 22 ppl there was more than enough space. It was colder than usual in November but the house was very warm and comfy. Wish the pool was available but we are going to re rent in the summer. Great place to stay plenty of towels, and basic supplies. We had an amazing time. Don’t pass this property up, you will have a great time with large groups. Thanks again to Ronnie for his hospitality and kindness I can see why he is a premier provider.

Kudos- The smaller house lost power due to a bad storm- Electrician was sent out quickly and the communication from Property Manager was prompt- the thing a I was very impressed was a refund was given while I was at the location for the lack of use of the other house, Great Service!!! We will return again!!!

Great property. Was clean, well stocked and provided ample space for our party of 17 adults and 6 kids. There was space to get away from the crowd and many things to do for the kids and adults. Pool was great and the hot tub an added bonus. Lake was beautiful and had great sunsets. We really enjoyed ourselves and property owner was always responsive to each email, text and questions. I would recommend this property for any large family gathering. I stayed in the cottage near pool and was so glad as it was small, quiet and offered another great view of the lake. The large house had 5 bedrooms and a loft, 2 living rooms and four bathrooms. ThIs property gave us a ton of room to spread out. Thank you.

Our extended family enjoyed the blessing of being able to eat and play games in one spot. However, the houses need maintenance- large hole punched completely through a bedroom door which also had no knob, another bedroom door that would not latch or stay closed (my husband replaced the screw himself to repair the latch plate), the air conditioning not cooling properly. Furthermore, for the substantial cleaning fee you are charged, it seems the rodent and roach debris should have been cleaned out of the cabinets. On a positive note- the owner is accessible by email and responds promptly to inquiries.
