The Fort Grounds Cottage is a fully furnished, adorable 2 bedroom/2 bath separate guesthouse, steps to the beach/lake and walking distance to all the action that Downtown CdA offers year-round. For our guests with pups, the home has a fully fenced-in yard. It has been recently remodeled and professionally designed with new furnishings, and everything you and your guests could want during your stay. Whether you want to golf, swim, kayak, bike, hike Tubb's Hill, stroll downtown CdA, or just relax and take in all that beautiful CdA has to offer, this vacation rental perfectly meets those needs for a party of up to 5 guests. As you enter The Fort Grounds Cottage, you will feel the comfy coziness of the living room and sitting area in front of the gas stove furnace. It houses a flat screen SMART HDTV and Wi-Fi throughout. The dining room to the right features a bar height dining table, seating for up to 6.The upstairs bedrooms feature a full bed, twin bed, and a daybed/trundle which can convert to a queen. There is a washer/dryer unit off the kitchen, a patio/BBQ area for outdoor dining in this privately fenced off guesthouse, and ample parking in front or behind the house. Would absolutely recommend this property. Walkable to Main Street and all the water activities. Great outdoor space. It’s a separate house behind the main house, so very close to another rental, so it’s safe and quiet. Host was prompt and easy to communicate with, and my friends and I had a lovely trip!

We really enjoy this little property. It was so nice to be so close to the beach and downtown. We could bike and walk to all the fun shops in town. We loved having the option to have our pups there with the enclosed yard. Thanks for a great stay!

This place is perfect! You can’t beat its location! The rental itself is adorable. Nicely furnished and appointed with extra touches such as an ice maker and plenty of water toys and chairs, coolers, etc.
We would rent this place again in a heartbeat and plan to do so next time we’re in CDA.

We loved staying at the Fort Grounds property. It was clean, cute, and well furnished. Location is awesome. Just a few steps to the lake and downtown. Highly recommended.

Flo was so good we couldn’t get in and she took good care having someone come right over to help us. The cottage is decorated so Cute and well stocked with everything! Location was wonderful you can walk everywhere! We would stay here again for sure! We had a Great time! Thanks again!

Prior to booking, I reached out to the owner because of a previous vacationer’s reviews about the furniture not matching the listing pictures. Flo assured us the photos had been updated and are as seen in the photos. The guesthouse is super cute and plenty spacious, with everything we needed. There was even a gate provided to keep our baby from wandering up the stairs. Best part was the location! We knew the house would be relatively close to everywhere we wanted to visit in downtown Coeur d’Alene, but it wasn’t until arrival that we realized just how close to downtown the guesthouse really was. It was so nice to be able to walk to everywhere and Tubbs Hill and barely have to use our car! Thanks Flo for an awesome stay!

Lovely cottage in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood. I’ve traveled to Coeur d’Alene several times before and this stay has been my favorite, by far! Can’t beat the location, amenities, and convenience of not having to use our car to stroll downtown for perusing, eating, and activities. Great find and we absolutely loved our stay!

Overall, we were disappointed with the property. When we first walked in, we noticed that the furniture was very different than shown in the pictures on the VRBO listing. Although the owner said she had told us of the furniture changes, we never received such communication. The floors were dirty; my husband filled a dustpan with dirt and debris right after we got there.
The patio and furniture that looked so inviting in the pictures had not been cleaned/swept.

We would rent again for the location and a better price per night. The pictures online need to be updated as it’s misleading to what your actually getting.
