Stress-free rental. Very private heated pool and dock. We had kayaks and a paddle board delivered for the week, which was perfect for the area. Easy check-in and great communication by Lisa. The house is just as listed and it was nice to not have a lot of tasks at checkout. Would definitely rent again!

We enjoyed our stay- the house is beautiful- with a lovely pool and big open water access. Wonderfully dog friendly , easy access to all, a short drive to shops , restaurants and sombrero beach. Really top notch

Mar Azul is a beautiful home in Marathon. Lisa, the property manager, was fantastic and readily available with any questions. We had a bit of a cooler week and the pool was a bit chilly. When we contacted Lisa, she sent someone to warm it up the same day. The house is gorgeous with a beautiful view. Everything was extremely clean and tidy. This house is an amazing self contained paradise! We wish there was a little bit more water at the dock for a boat or two however it worked out for us!

My family loved this property. We saw Manatee early in the morning off of the boardwalk, and did some fishing. The children enjoyed the pool on days we weren't at the beach.

We had a wonderful week at Mar Azul. With all the beautiful landscaping it felt like we were on our own tropical island. We enjoyed fishing off the dock, viewing all the birds, lizards and even 3 manatees that came to visit. Excellent communication with Lisa the host. Highly recommend!

Pool is in great condition as is the home I’ve stayed at lots of VRBO type rental places , both Lisa and Mar Azul are among the top. 3 bed + places this quality aren’t easy to find in the Keys.

The property is exactly as advertised. Wonderful. Clean, spacious and luxurious. The property owner is also a wonderful host. Very attentive and helpful. If you're looking for a very nice private home for a stay in the middle or lower keys this one is tough to beat. Highly recommend it!

The location, the layout, the privacy, the views, the dock,... everything about the place made for a perfect spot to have a safe isolated vacation with the family. I had a feeling it would be good after initial communication with the host. Lisa quickly and thoroughly answered questions and made suggestions. We really appreciate the effort to make the check in, stay and departure so convenient. Thank you Lisa. Hopefully we’ll be back soon.

Beautiful home with gorgeous waterfront views! Very comfortable home with lots of privacy. This home is in a great location with everything you need close by. We had 5 people here and had more than enough room. Would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful place to stay! Loved looking out at the ocean every morning when I woke up. Marathon is close to all the best restaurants and sites .

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mar Azul. Very private, tons of room, and the location allowed us to head north for a college tour in Miami and then south to spend some time in Key West. Lisa was responsive and proactive leading up to our stay, and checked in with us to make sure everything was okay. Wonderful home, wonderful host!

Gorgeous property! Water accessibility couldn’t have been any better! Very clean! Out of all vacation rentals I’ve used it was the quickest ever refund on security deposit! Lisa was very helpful and communicative during entire trip process!

Everything was perfect! We came in from Philadelphia for a quiet Christmas week and wish we could have stayed longer. Wonderfully clean home with great views, lots of sea birds to watch and easy access to the water for kayaking. Pool was perfect. Property manager was wonderful, very responsive and easy to work with ♡ WE WILL BE BACK!!!

The entire house is wonderful, but my family really enjoyed the pool area. It is very well thought out with ample areas to enjoy both the sun and the shade.

We've been lucky enough to stay at this lovely house twice now. We were first there in the spring with our two children, ages 10 and 16 and then again in June for an adult only vacation. The kids liked swimming in the pool which is small but still very enjoyable: heated nicely in the spring and cool and refreshing in the hotter summer months. I loved jumping in after a long day out on the boat. We rented a boat and kayaks each time and had a wonderful time fishing, snorkeling and exploring. The boardwalk to the water is surrounded by mangroves that are filled with cool birds, lizards and crabs. If you like nature you will love this house! The house itself is very clean. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen is fairly well stocked. There is a bedroom with attached bathroom on the first floor, a separate bedroom and large master bedroom with attached bath on the second floor. The master bedroom is quite spacious with a nice balcony overlooking the ocean. Our family liked to gather there to watch movies in the evenings. We loved going to Herbie's down the street. They have amazing fish and chips and an incredible craft beer selection. The house is not far from Publix grocery store, Kmart, Walgreens and pretty much anything you might need but still feels private and cozy. You are also not far from the Turtle Hospital and Crane Point Nature Center which are both worthwhile places to visit. We like to take one or two trips down to Key West for shopping, museum going and people watching, This is a great home base to come back to after being out and about. We will certainly be back!

We were very lucky to book last minute just before the Holidays – wow, what a fantastic place Mar Azul is! It is like your own resort – walking through the Mangroves to the dock (which is smack on top of the ocean and sooo cool to sit and watch life...pelicans, fish, sea gulls and every once in awhile an iguana would show up!). Our family felt so connected with life while there – the pool area is so tropical, there is lots of seating – staying at a gated property made us feel like millionaires, too! The views are absolutely beautiful and the house had everything we needed. Marathon itself had everything we needed too – good restaurants and so much to do! We are so happy we were able to get down there and we have already booked again for the summer! Thank you to Lisa, you made us feel like family!

We arrived saturday, after a long drive through Florida. As soon as we opened the gate to our beautiful retreat, I knew we had found paradise! The grounds were absolutely gorgeous and tropical. Coconut trees and palms surrounded out private pool that became our relaxing spot almost everyday! The boardwalk to the pier was like our a little nature trail that lead to the bluest waters this South Carolina girl had seen. We rented paddle boards and could just paddle right off the dock into the ocean and down quiet canals. The home was exquisite and from this designers point of view, was top notch. Just being at the house was like being in paradise. Lisa has done a wonderful job in furnishing this beautiful home. And she wants you to consider it your home while you are there. Lisa is very easy to work with and wants to make sure that you have everything you need. Checking in and out was so easy. Well, checking out was hard because you do not want to leave. The nice thing about being in Marathon is that you have great grocery stores and other shopping (walgreens etc) close by as well as wonderful restaurants. The sunsets off of seven mile bridge are way better than Mallory Square, but a day trip to Key West was definitely a highlight. We rented a boat while there for one day and I would recommend doing so if you have a person that can read the gauges for sea depth and stuff. We fortunately has a great captain in our group and saw some wonderful sites. This is a great place for a relaxing get away and we will be back and hopefully for 2 weeks next time. Mar Azule is the best!!! And Lisa is Awesome!!!
