Rented the cozy house for easy access to the Hollywood Bowl. The home was adorable bungalow from 1918 and full of charm. Small but perfect since we were on the go. Rosa was very accessible via email and helped us out on all inquiries. Walking distance to a lot of Hollywood fun, including the Hollywood Bowl and the beds were comfy and house clean! Would rent from her again.

started off badly as the door code did not work. Had to stay elsewhere that night. Still trying to get a refund for that first night from the owner. On the plus side, the owner was responsive but things didn't get resolved for a day or so.

June Stay
The cottage is exactly like it appears on the website. Located right off the 101 but freeway noise was minimal. Short walk to Hollywood Blvd. The location does have a number of homeless people but we never felt like it was unsafe. All in all, we enjoyed our stay.

This bungalow had a excellent location to restaurants, attractions, dispensaries, public transportation. The space was accommodating, however, but we were able to sit outside of the house due to the overgrowth of greenery and lack of lighting. I will return to this bungalow again if ever I’m in Hollywood/LA.

I was not a big fan of the neighborhood, but felt safe which is all that matters.

Until the day of the rental, communication was great. The day of the rental, we received the key code 10 mins before the start time. This was stressful because we were arriving in LA right at 3pm and I wasn’t sure we would receive our code in time. It felt very last minute compared to all of my other rental experiences. Messages sent earlier to Rosa went unanswered.
When we arrived at the rental, it was obvious that it had not been cleaned. There was a considerable amount of human hair and dirt in the bathroom and the kitchen counter. The kitchen counter also had a sticky substance with hair matted in it. I attempted to contact Rosa right away in order to find out what was happening. Rosa did not answer my calls or messages for an hour.
When I was finally able to get ahold of her, Rosa said was how surprised she was because she had been staying at the rental and had cleaned it herself. I sent her many pictures of what I was seeing. She offered to send a neighbor to clean the house, but wanted us to be present while he cleaned. My young children needed dinner, so I asked if the neighbor could clean while we were out. Rosa didn’t like this solution, but I had to prioritize my kids.
When we arrived back at the rental after dinner, the neighbor was finishing. He had used some Clorox spray on the tub and kitchen counter. There was still some thing stuck on the counter which he claimed was glue. He left.
On the surface, things seemed ok, until my children showered. During the shower more hair was discovered on the walls of the shower (not our length or color). When my daughter dried off with a towel, there were long white hairs on her body from the towel. Meanwhile I was getting the children’s beds ready. The twin beds were COVERED in human hair, dirt, and dust. We called Rosa again and said we didn’t feel like we could stay in the rental. We couldn’t clean the linens. Rosa apologized and said she didn’t think she could give us a refund but would check with her daughter the next day because her daughter handles the finances.
Rosa refunded part of the fees. She did not refund all of the booking, cleaning, or the VRBO fee. She said: “since you and your family used the bathroom to shower and used the towels. Additionally, the house was left in disaray. The house needs to be cleaned and linens washed, and ironed.”
“Disarray” means I didn’t remake hair/dirt covered beds. The house was unclean when we arrived, but we were blamed.

This was a great place to stay if you are planning on doing anything in Hollywood. We walked to the boulevard from the house and the neighborhood was great. This is a really comfortable and unique property right in the middle of everything Hollywood: a quick walk to Hollywood Blvd, 10 mins from Griffith Park Observatory and easy access to the freeway. So close to everything and surprisingly quiet. Slept like a rock, even on the first night. The owner, Rosa, was very responsive and accommodating of our continually evolving travel plans. I would definitely chose this property again.

The property is so close to Universal Studios! We did a cheap Lyft ride to the park and saved the hassle with parking AND it was cheaper! Easy walk to Hollywood, as well. The house had everything we needed. Highly recommended if you are looking for a property in the area!
