Had a great time the electrical in the house was out dated the breakers would trip when cooking dinner.

It was a great few days away after our wedding. Very cozy. Unfortunately the hot tub wasn’t working while there.

My husband and I stayed here for a week for our Oregon Coast honeymoon destination. Vacasa called me to inform that the hot tub and dryer were out of service, which did not impact our stay as we had fun in Gearheart and the surrounding neighborhood towns.
The Gearheart beach is a 10 minute walk from the house, great locstion to explore.
This place is also close to Astoria, Seaside, and Cannon Beach.
We had a great time doing the Astoria Riverwalk on our way into town, but our favorite activites were walking along Cannon Beach and exploring Downtown Seaside, both filled with fun various family filled activities.
The home is as described in the pictures for real life.
The shower in the bathroom is fairly small, but still comfortable. The cabin was very clean upon our initial arrival, and this would be a great place for couples, small families with children, or even individual travelers.
We will definitely considering staying at this place if we decide to return to the Oregon Coast on vacation again.

This cozy cottage fit our family needs. It’s not close to the beach but a nice walk on the Ridge Path into town.
The place has a step up to the bedrooms and to the kitchen. The wood burning stove has a surround that sticks out and it’s easy to trip. Other than that we were very pleased with our choice and had a good stay.

It was kind of a dump the floors were soft and sagging and the appliances didn't work that great and when we got there we couldn't figure out the cable TV and there was spider webs and spider eggs all over the outside of every window it was clean and the hot tub was great

Very enjoyable property, great quiet location but right around the corner from a vast beach, and two local coffee shops. We saw some elk walking near the beach. Amazing sunset.

Nice , low key cabin in a quiet neighborhood in walking distance to McMenamins. Nice hot tub with responsive VACASA attendant who fixed an issue with the tub immediately upon request.
Thank you.

Would've given 5 stars, but all we wanted was the hot tub in the cold month of March. And we did not. It was halfway full and luke warm with no instructions of how to correct the problem. Called maintenance, but they did not show up in time for us to enjoy our 2 nights. Vrbo did give me the money deposit for the hot tub back promptly. Kitchen was great and fully stocked. Beds were comfy. Close to Seaside. Overall great stay. Much preferred over a fancy hotel. Wish we could've stayed longer!

We left a day early because of the weather (snow and ice on the roads coming home). But we left everything clean and washed rugs and towels and swept and did dishes. The hot tub was great. Comfortable beds. Close to the beach. We will rent it again

I arrived to the property at 4pm and was not given the code to get the key to the house. When I did get in 15 minuets later there was not a book with directions of how to work the heater. Things were good for the most part untill the following day I received an email at 4:30om saying the company was trying to get ahold of me about a noise complaint; my 3 30 year old and older girl friends were in the hot tub listening to Brittney Spears for maybe an hour laughing and having a good time. I was honestly upset that I had to call the company to verify my number and be told that at 430 someone complained about us and that to remember the good neighbor rule is from 10pm to 8am. At 4:30pm. Other than all that, our stay with fine.

Has a well equipped kitchen, lovely quaint feel, nice forest hangout on deck with hot tub. Nice story about it's history as a family home. Beach is 15-20 min walk away. Our visit had record highs 90's, but house stayed bearable when we kept doors, windows and curtains shut, ran the fan. Opened east side windows at night to cool off. Suggest owners invest in screen door(s) to help cool house at night/early AM. Metal deck chairs not holding up to the weather. For now, bring your own outside chairs and an extra small fan or two if you will be there on very hot days. Very nice bird-watching on the deck in the AM and PM.

Cozy stay
This was a nice place to get away! The home is definitely old and rustic but it has everything you need. We loved the hot tub, it was consistently 104 degrees. Being able to do laundry on site was really nice. It is a nice leisurely walk to the beach. It took about 15 minutes. We didn't have wifi for one of our days which was a bummer but they fixed it the next day. The beds were pretty comfy but the couch was not great. All in all we would stay here again.

Wound up getting food poisoning on my second day, so I very much appreciated the big TV and couch. Bummer i didn't get to use the hot tub more, which was great that first night.

Great spot close to the beach, downtown Gearhardt, and Mcmenamins. House is older and a little more rustic which was just fine for us. Kitchen could use a few more basic supplies like starter coffee, plastic wrap, food containers, etc. All in all, a nice quiet escape on the coast.

Definitely rustic, but everything worked and everything we needed was there. Peaceful spot next to a nice little walking trail and reasonable walking distance from the beach.
Kudos to the local Vacasa manager, Eli. We had a few minor issues and he was super helpful and responded quickly. Couldn't ask for a better local contact person/problem solver.
