It offers a wonderful wrap around deck for relaxing, with beautiful, private gardens and patio. The upstairs has a great open floor plan with a living area with plenty of natural light and beautiful woodwork and ceiling, a large kitchen and dining room for entertaining. There is also a full bath with a large tub. Downstairs included two additional sleeping spaces, and has a full bath (shower) and large windows looking out into the gardens. The house is within a mile from First and Second Beach and only a few minutes drive into downtown Newport. It is located in a quiet, family friendly neighborhood. Enjoy a beautiful walk down to Second Beach through St Georges school fields or take a hike up to the Aquidneck Land Preservation at the end of the street.

This home was so cozy and homey! We loved the New England feel to this home and we loved all the wood. The lighting coming into the home was beautiful in the mornings. The backyard was absolutely beautiful, my dog really enjoyed the yard and sniffing around! The home had a parking spot for the car. We would 10000% come back!

This was our second stay at the cottage. Cozy and roomy for party of 4. Neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. Beaches and downtown Newport are just a short drive away. If you like walking, you can walk or jog to the beaches. Will consider staying there again.

Everything you need at the cottage. Lots of space for family fun and fenced in back yard for the dogs and kids. Short ride to downtown Newport and beaches etc…but far enough away for peace and quiet. Highly recommend.

Upon arrival the house was very easy to access and extremely clean. It should be noted that the 2 bedrooms on the lower level have VERY low ceilings....my husband is 6'3 and could not stand upright in the back bedroom without hitting the ceiling.The house is very cute and in a great neighborhood with a huge backyard, however it needs quite a bit of updating, and definitely could use a new mattress in the main bedroom. Kate and her husband were very quick to respond when we had minor problems and questions.

The location of the cottage was close to everything in Middletown and Newport. The Wi-Fi service along with the cottage could use some updating upstairs. Shower downstairs way too small for full-size man. Mattress upstairs very old and uncomfortable.

We had a very relaxing four night stay with our pup over Thanksgiving. Convenient location, clean and well maintained property. The best for us was a lovely fenced in backyard! Great weather for brisk walks on the beach and around Newport. We'd love to return sometime!

We loved the great location, close to the beaches. The outdoor deck and garden were really enjoyable. The kitchen was easy to use, we had everything we needed. The upstairs is light and airy, with a loft ceiling and comfortable open floor plan. With the two downstairs bedrooms, you go through one to get to the other. One bedroom has a low ceiling. We were very happy with the property and there were a lot of nice touches.

2nd year for us at the cottage. My son wants to come every year. Perfect house for us and my mom and step dad. They get there space and we get ours with additional space for meals, watching tv or being in the great backyard. Also a very convenient location or all aquidneck island has to offer. We will be back.

My wife and I, along with our 3yo & 6yo girls had a wonderful stay while visiting for a graduation. The cottage is comfortable and homey with everything you need. The kids loved the backyard and the location is perfect for checking out all that Newport has to offer. This was a great value for our stay, and we would definitely stay again. The owners were very accommodating and have truly thought of everything which made for a very easy stay.

This cottage was extremely clean and nicely stocked with everything we needed. ( linens, kitchenware, games etc) Our 2 yorkies loved the fenced in yard and our walks around the dog friendly neighborhood. It is located just a few minutes from all the fun things to do in Newport. Kate is an excellent host and very responsive whenever we had a question. Highly recommend!!

We had a great stay mid August 2021. Everything in Middletown & Newport is so close to the property. We loved spending time on the back porch and the kids loved running around in the large back yard. We all enjoyed the outdoor shower. Very peaceful and quiet neighborhood. Appreciated that four beach chairs & large beach umbrella were provided in addition to kids beach toys (shovels/buckets, etc.). Only draw back was low ceiling height in lower level, one of our guests was over 6 ft so it was a bit inconvenient but he was only down there to sleep and use bathroom, so not a huge problem. Would definitely recommend this property to another family.

This was our first time at Newport. It is a great area for beaches and shopping and mansion tours. This was a nice beach home and it was close to the beach. It was a little far for our group to do the walk to the beach with the chairs and our stuff. It was a very short drive to the beach. The neighborhood is awesome. The house had everything we needed. The only issues would be ceiling height in the basement if you are over 6 feet tall. We loved the area and would stay here again.
