Sierra Vista Guest House-With Hot Tub For Stargazing-No Extra Cleaning\/Pet Fees
About this house rental
Situated in State of Chihuahua, this charming house for $197 per night is a great choice for your next break. A newly-built (just completed on 9/26/2016) guesthouse in the heart of the Old West. We also own and manage the sister property #454664. Please check out the wonderful reviews. There are no shared walls between the two properties, and they each have their own entrance. We are located far enough out of Alpine to give you a rural feel, but in reality being just minutes from downtown, this bungalow guesthouse gives you the best of both worlds. Sit out on the large private patio and enjoy watching the quail and other wildlife, or visit with our own assortment of livestock. There is a 6-foot privacy fence around the majority of the patio. The patio also has a 22x5-foot long sitting area that is open to our pasture to the south. You can sit out, drink your coffee, and watch the sun come up. We are pet-friendly, and can even board horses for a small fee. After you have enjoyed your day, relax around a fire in the fire pit, or soak in the hot tub while watching the sky for shooting stars and satellites. If you feel like cooking outside, there is a brand-new KitchenAide gas grill available, or you can BBQ over the fire in the fire pit. As you enter the bungalow, you see the attention to detail. The room has a contemporary feel, with a strong accent of the industrial age. The main room is very open, with a kitchen that comes well-equipped with high-end stainless steel appliances. It has a full-size refrigerator, double-bin sink, a very nice gas cook-top, a large convection microwave, and a dishwasher . It also has a toaster oven, automatic coffee-maker, and everything you would need to cook a wonderful meal. There is a breakfast bar that seats 4 people. It adds extra counter top space, or you can enjoy your meals there. The living area has two large couches that double as XL twin beds. Just pull off the back cushions, put the sheets on, and you are ready for bed. The linens are stored in the space below the couches. The dining room table seats 4 comfortably, and is made from an antique drafting table. There is a 40-inch television set in the living area. The bedroom is very spacious. It has a king-size bed, a dresser with two large drawers for folded clothes, an armoire to hang clothes, and a built-in luggage rack. There is also a 40-inch television set in the bedroom. The bathroom has a very spa-like feel, from the tile work and the stainless steel accents to the two vessel sinks and the endless counter top space. The walk-in shower is the the size of a tiny house, with lots of room to move around. This bathroom has to be experienced to be appreciated. There is a stackable washer and dryer, as well as a separate closet to hang your clothes. Other amenities include an iron and ironing board, another portable luggage rack, and a Pack-and-Play for those with small children. The guesthouse is climate-controlled with a whisper-quiet heating and cooling system. Check-in time is 4PM. Check-out time is 11AM. There is a $10/guest per night fee for more than two people. If you are looking for a smaller, more intimate space, please check out our other property, 454664. Come stay outside the box, and experience the true West Texas.

We had the best time ever and I’m 67 years old. We used the hot tub one night and it was so good. The people were friendly and great. We will be staying there again.

Perfect place for my family to relax especially with the hot tub. My two teenage daughters slept comfortably on the couches, plenty of space for our family of four and our dog.

This is a beautiful guest house! The bonus was the farm animals to enjoy in the morning. Quiet and peaceful - just what we needed after a long day traveling in the car. Thank-you, Lisa!

We went to see the night sky(best in US) and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! Hot tub, farm-fresh eggs, great hiking (pet friendly trails), a moon almost as bright as the sun! Our hosts checked on us periodically and gave great recommendations! The place was amazing, we highly recommend!

This property was even better than the pictures and exceeded expectations. Absolutely immaculate space with everything you could need. Located in a safe and quiet little neighborhood about 2-3 miles from town. It's also very private, especially the space where the hot tub is. I made fast friends with the goats and chickens too, which was an enjoyable bonus. Cannot recommend Lisa and Steve's place more highly. Book it!

What a lovely place to get away from it all! Viewing the Milky Way in silence from a hot tub and then nighty night in a big comfy bed. What could be better? Waking up with the farm! The animals were delightful. Thanks Lisa and Steve for a perfect quick visit.

A combination of cute and luxurey ! Those stars while lounging in the hot tub were indescribable and then to shower in a gorgeous shower. I adored watching the animals from the dining table and finding fresh yard eggs in the fridge. Sunrise from the comfy bed. Too many special touches to name, Everything was super clean. I can't wait to visit this spacious and special property again.

This place was very well insulated against sound. We enjoyed feeding carrots to the goats, relaxed in the clean hot tub, and grilled steaks on the gas grill that was provided. It was also very private. An awesome launch pad for Big Bend, Davis Mountains, or just watching the stars.

It’s a beautiful well kept place. You can relax inside or on the porch to enjoy the animals or at night to look at the stars. This will be our go to place when we go to the alpine area.

This is our go to place when we come out to West Texas to getaway from the city. We have stayed here 6 times. Very Clean, great location, stargazing. When we think of Alpine we think of this place.

Honestly one of the nicest places we've stayed in! Very clean and well designed with everything we could have wanted or needed. Big thanks to Lisa who loaned us her kennels for our dogs when we had to take care of an unexpected car issue. The area was great and central to everything we were doing with a huge bonus of adorable goats and so many scaled quail! As big birders, we loved it. The bed, bathroom, shower and appliances were great and well maintained. Very honest pricing with no ridiculous fees made this whole stay even better and high on our recommendation list. We will look for this place every time we need to book lodging in the area.
Thank you.

Wonderful location: just far enough outside of town to be quiet and serene while close enough to easily pop back and forth.

Beautiful property which is perfectly situated for travel around the Big Bend Region. Traveled to Fort Davis (including the observatory) and Marathon for the National Park and was able to return back each night. Super clean and cute. Enjoy the animals with your coffee each morning or watch out the windows. Wonderful for our get away. Definitely recommend.

The Sierra Vista guest house was a perfect ‘base camp’ for a West Texas tour with a friend of mine. The location was convenient to Alpine as well as Fort Davis and the McDonald observatory. Lisa took wonderful care of us during our stay and the place is quiet, private and immaculate. Not only was it by far the nicest place we stayed at during our week of traveling, it deserves recognition all on its own for style, decor, layout, cleanliness, location and vistas. It is situated just north of Alpine and the views out the windows were just wonderful. The kitchen was well stocked with more than we could’ve used and the extra sleeping areas in the living room were really spacious and comfortable. Everything we needed was close at-hand and any questions we had were anticipated and addressed in the guest book. Lisa was kind and met us at check-in to say hi and was a gracious host. I will can highly recommend Lisa’s place without reservation and can also say that next time my family and I venture back to the Alpine area, I hope her place is available so we can stay there!

This property was just what we were looking for in finding a restful stay while still being able to explore the majestic surroundings in the Big Bend region. The property is very cozy, with a perfect kitchen set up, shower area, and comfy bed. The best part was waking up every day to the contented sound of chickens clucking and watching the antics of the kids(baby goats) hopping around the paddock. We even got to enjoy fresh eggs provided by the host. Then there is the night sky filled with constellations and a glimpse of the Milky Way. Definitely, a place we would love to return to in the not-too-distant future!

I’m not a seasoned Vrbo user but if the properties and hosts are like this one, I will be a convert. Communication was great. I felt I got great value for the money. Modern fixtures and cookware. The decor was maybe farmhouse chic. Whatever it was, the place was well decorated and appointed. Huge shower and bathroom. Top of the line clothes washer and dryer. Oh and I’d say the backyard neighbors must be pretty unique even for Vrbo. If I’m ever back in Big Bend country, this will be the first place I check. Thank you, Lisa!

We had a wonderful time. The place is very functional and has a glamping farmhouse vibe. The perfect weekend trip to Big Bend. It's an hour and a half drive to the park but the views are beautiful. Only 5 min drive to the local grocery store which has everything you need.

Lisa & Steve have an amazing place, enjoyed watching the goats, chickens and Thor the horse each day. Fresh eggs were in the fridge. Lisa and Steve built the place, it is very spacious, the bathroom is beautiful, the couch is very large and very comfortable, everything we needed was in the kitchen, a gas grill on the patio along with a very nice hot tub. We will return!

We arrive to friendly farm animals and a cozy warm guest house. Lisa and Steve have a lovely well appointed home. Everything that you would need while staying at their home. The hot tub was amazing after long hikes at the end of the day. The night sky is spectacular sitting in the hot tub. We truly enjoyed our relaxing vacation and hope to come back again!

We are very experienced and savvy travelers. This "apartment" was a fabulous selection for our 3-night stay in Alpine. It was pristine in terms of cleanliness and very well appointed with a well-stocked kitchen with spices and utensils. We also enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit. The barnyard view was very entertaining - we really enjoyed watching the chickens, ducks, goats and horse and their daily routine. This was a fabulous property and welcoming hosts. Highly recommend!!

My husband and I were so happy with this rental! The property is beautiful and the photos of the farm in the listing do not do it justice.
