This apartment is rented to guests that have a need to stay in Eureka for longer they 30 nights. Many of our guests are professionals coming to Eureka to work on contracts of 30 days to 6 months. This apartment is located in one of Eureka’s historic buildings in Old Town. The apartment was recently upgraded with a new kitchen and bathroom. The living room has great natural light and looks out to a limited view of Humboldt Bay. In the living room you will find comfortable club chairs and a couch for viewing TV or working on a puzzle on the large dining table. The bed area has a queen sized bed. The bathroom has a shower/tub. The rental has a full kitchen including a full size range, dishwasher, microwave and refrigerator. The building has a coin-op washer/dryer for laundry needs just steps from the apartment. The overall size of the apartment is 800 square feet making it larger then some homes for rent on VRBO. Included in the unit are WiFi and cable television. This unit is located on the second floor and is a walk-up. I have owned this building since 1966 and remodeled all the units, I have 2 long term tenant in the building, the other 3 apartments are VRBO's. Eureka is a city of almost 30,000 located on the north pacific coast of California. We have an active arts community with a monthly Arts Alive Night on the first Saturday of each month in Old Town, there are also many local art galleries for viewing or purchasing art. Humboldt State University has its own gallery in Old Town on 3rd Street with student and faculty exhibits and out of the area artist shows. There is a wide variety of restaurants to be found in Eureka and we would be happy to give you some ideas of how to choose your meals out. In Henderson Center there is a great local bakery for morning pastries and coffee drinks. Humboldt County has a bounty of outdoor activities to be enjoyed at our local beaches and forest areas. Eureka is a 4 hour and 45 minute drive north of San Francisco and 120 miles west of Redding. Whether you want to escape the urban population of the Bay Area or the heat of Redding, Eureka is a great choice.

All interactions with management were professional and appropriate. The place itself is reasonably nice, though it could use a solid think about usability, a few more pieces of furniture, and a more sophisticated thermostat given the fundamental temperature challenges of a lofted bedroom. The most notable feature is that it's extremely well-lit; that includes a non-obscurable skylight, so definitely be prepared for the whole place being sunlit in the daytime. Parking in the adjacent lot was always easy except 12-3pm on weekdays. But I barely moved the car in 2.5 months here; most of Eureka is in easy walking distance. If you're here for a while, be sure to get out on the bay with watercraft classes/rentals from Humboldt Bay Aquatic Center just down the street.

Amazing Property!
Amazing Property!
We fell in love with the unit the minute we walked in. It was perfect for the two of us. What caught my attention was the loft style. The unit came with all the kitchen utilities which were great because we wanted home-cooked food. It came with books... which was my most favorite part of the loft. It has ample security and we felt very safe in the building. Thanks Joe, for letting us stay in your apartment. Cheers!

Plenty of room for two. Kitchen was small and short on counter space but manageable. Loft bedroom was spacious and well lit. "Living room chairs a bit uncomfortable. Open and airy space. Convenient location. Parking could be a challenge.
