Very rural, secluded and quiet. Pool and property were as seen in the pictures. Views are amazing, great sunsets. I will go back.

We rented this home for 2 weeks recently and were very happy with it. It's very private and the pool is absolutely amazing with the ocean views. Def strongly suggest a 4x4 as the roads in this town and surrounding areas are rugged to say the least especially the road leading to the house. The kitchen was well stocked and the house has a great sound system. My only suggestion to guests would be to not leave anything valuable in your car if at the beach, even if it's hidden under your car seat. Our car got broken into while at the beach, luckily they did not escape with much, but it was still unsettling. Besides that we had a wonderful time and would def return to this home in the future!! The restaurant in town is amazing, we ate there several times.

Would definitely return. The space in this house is amazing and spread out enough for children and adults to enjoy a holiday. The pool was clean and refreshing. The house had great speakers and an entertainement center that let us play music when we werent enjoying the solitude of the mountain top. We had multiple birds, monkeys and koates visit us everyday. The only thing I recommend is have a 4x4 and make sure your spare tire is ready to go. The roads during the dry season never stopped us, but also kept us under 40 km/ hr . Hwy 160 is very dusty and bumpy , so be prepared. The off shoot up the mountain is also a steep climb with a few challenging holes. Get a vehicle ready to handle the commutes. We travelled to Nosara almost everyday 30 min max . Passing a grocery store and gas station and mechanic and a bank. Great location , house is equiped with everything for everyone.

My family of eight stayed here over Christmas 2019 and it was perfect. Four bedrooms each with their own bathroom. One downstairs that was perfect for my 93 year old mother. Gorgeous pool, views to the ocean and mountains, a glass wall that opens up completely so that the kitchen/dining room becomes one with the covered porch, howler monkeys in the trees and coatimundis roaming during the day. The location is off the beaten path, 45 minutes on a dusty gravel road- approx . 2 hours from Liberia. No big hotels just beautiful beaches , snorkeling, turtle watching and fresh fish at unpretentious little restaurants. If you want more of the tourist experience it is just down the road in Nosara and there are fine restaurants there as well. We never felt the need for them as the house was so wonderful we hardly wanted to leave. We did go to the Diamante Eco park and did the ziplines and saw a lot of wonderful animals - bit of a slog to get there but worth it. We would stay here again in a hot minute. Highly recommend.

We stayed at Casa Panoramica for a month over Christmas 2018/19 with our 8 year old twins. We travel every year and this home by far, was the most SPECTACULAR we’ve ever stayed in.
It would be amazing for a couple families or a group of up to 10-12....so for the 4 of us, it felt like we were in a palace. There are 3 bedrooms upstairs ( one with two large bunk beds) each with a beautiful en-suite, balcony and AC. The other bedroom is on the main floor with all the same features. Washer and dryer is in the garage.
The kitchen is huge; two sinks, tons of counter and cupboard space, Ninja Blender, rice cooker. Basically a fully stocked kitchen with good sharp knives and plenty of dishes.
There’s a large tv with satellite, DVD player and Netflix ....and hook ups for an iPhone to play music or watch from a device.
The inside is stunning but the outside - even more! The pool and deck area is huge. We spent HOURS in the pool watching all our iguana, coati, monkey and vultures friends in the yard. The space to lay down a yoga mat is just blissful! The greenery and landscaping is gorgeous and you literally look for miles with nothing blocking your view; and the mountain view out back is just as gorgeous. Two outdoor showers, one at the pool...the other at the front. Super convenient
There’s lots of shade to find on the deck and the most comfortable day bed for an afternoon nap (my husband slept out there one night to hear the howler monkeys, which by the way....the noise coming from the valley is the most incredible sound at 5 am!) the house is also stocked with great board games for kids and adults.
The closest village is San Juanillo which has a little grocery store, some cool local bars and a couple very good restaurants. Coco Bolo down the hill at the beach is awesome! San Juanillo is is about a 7 minute drive from the house. Nosara, which has more shopping, is about a 20-25 min drive. The home is central to SO many beaches. In the month we stayed, we explored at least 9-10 different beaches all within 1.5 hours away.
Finally, Stevie our caretaker was a blessing. An American who’s lived in CR for more than a decade, speaks fluent Spanish and has connections! I can’t tell you how nice it was to have him at our fingertips for whatever. Stevie, thank you SO much for everything! The memories we made in this house will be treasured! I would recommend this spot to anyone and hope we are back one day very soon!

We stayed 10 days at Casa Panoramica and wished we could have remained longer. Amazing 360 degree views, well appointed clean home with just about everything you could possibly need. Our party consisted of two families, 4 adults, 3 teens and 1 child and we were more than comfortable.
All four bedrooms have en suite bathrooms, access to a balcony (a patio on the 1st floor), ceiling fans and ac units. We prepared family meals at home frequently and the kitchen was equipped with everything you could possibly need. The dining table was huge and easily seated all of us as. When we were not out sight seeing or on an adventure of some kind we opened up the glass wall in the kitchen and lounged by the pool where you could find sun or shade. There are stunning views of the ocean as well as the surrounding mountains. Evenings we enjoyed amazing sunsets and more stars than I have seen anywhere. The residence is somewhat secluded but the property is gated and the house has an alarm however we did not feel unsafe at all. I think the gate is more to keep out wandering cows and horses. On four occasions we did have problems with power failures in the house which were usually corrected within a few hours. Although slightly inconvenient, I believe this may have been due to isolated issues at the time since no other reviewers seem to have experienced this problem.
As explained the roads are unpaved from Rio Seco south. We had an SUV (without 4WD) and were able to navigate all surrounding roads, however it was the dry season. During the rainy season 4WD would be a must, especially for the road up to the house. Roads and bridges are rough so it takes a little longer to get to your destination. We completed day trips to Nosara, Ostional, Marbella, Santa Cruz, Huacas, Playa Conchal, Tamarindo and Rincon de la Vieja and Guachipelin. When we weren't traveling to a destination we stayed locally around San Janillo which was lovely and a welcome break from the tourist bustle of an area like Tamarindo.
Stevie, the house manager was super responsive and a wealth of knowledge. He had many recommendations all of which were spot on and extremely helpful. He arranged a local fishing trip which provided a delicious dinner one night.
Overall we loved our experience here and would highly recommend Casa Panoramica for the traveller looking for something more intimate away from the tourist crowd but within striking distance to that scene if you choose to check it out. Pura Vida!

Beautiful home with exceptional views and fantastic pool
Casa Panoramica is a lovely home. The setting is gorgeous with views of the mountains, ocean and jungle. The sound of howler monkeys, exotic birds and geckos are a daily occurance. The glass walls of the kitchen open to the patio which provides great views and a welcome breeze. Our group of six found it easy to cook delicious meals (the market in town has decent selection but we did have to go slightly farther for fresh seafood and meat). The kitchen was delightful and easy to accommodate all of us.
The house manager, Steven helped us to find a chef (Nartan) for one evening and we had a fantastic experience. The house has a washer and dryer which made our stay so much easier since we cooked a lot and had many dish towels. The nearby beach in San Juanillo was probably one of the most beautiful places we have ever been. The house is as advertised, and is 5 stars. The only drawback we had was with the roads. The difficulty getting to the house and to nearby restaurants and beaches was great. A 4 four wheel vehicle is a must and even then it's a little like a great adventure. Our advice is come prepared, stopping for food and beverages for meals. The local restaurants are not open for dinner and even if they were we did not want to drive on the roads in the dark. One of the reasons we picked this home was to be close to Ostional Beach to see the Olive Ridley Turtles and we were able to see them lay their eggs which was amazing!

A beautiful residence overlooking the ocean in San Juanillo
This home is beautifully built with LOTS of comfortable space for a large family/two families or even several couples looking to get away from it all. The open kitchen, dining and living rooms are extremely comfortable. The dining table is amazing, one single slab of wood! Beautiful. The pool is fantastic and the lounging area(s) are very comfortable, there is an outside table/chairs plus lounge chairs. The roads getting to the residence/San Juanillo were in poor shape- our SUV was handy to have. We felt safe/comfortable even though the home is somewhat remote. There is a secure gate to lock to the property and other homes are nearby/visible but you are on top of the world in this location! Steven (caretaker) was very accessible and informative. We would definitely return if we came back to this area.

Elegance away from it all
The house itself is amazing. The infinity pool and all of the other little details makes this place a gem.
The open glass area, beautiful rooms, stereo, tv, 180 degree view of the ocean. More than can be said.
Stevie is a resourceful and detail oriented host. He knows the area well and will make sure you also know all the details of the house and surrounding area.
Cannot recommend this place enough!

This house is beautiful with all the amenities you could need. Near by towns with multiple places to go to the ocean for the day or just stay at home by the awesome pool. Wonderful restaurants near by that Steve suggested. Activities within half hour drive including zip line, ATV, surf lessons etc. Loved it and want to go back!

So relaxing you'd never want to leave
We stayed for a week and loved every minute. The house is fantastic! We loved opening the long glass wall to the patio and pool and just walking from the kitchen to the pool. We spent many days just relaxing by the pool, reading and enjoying some refreshing drinks. Lots of fans and the wind blows through the house so you stay cool. There is AC in the 4 bedrooms so you can sleep in comfort. House is very clean and well equipped. We cooked most meals there and had everything we needed. The house is very secluded and you can't see or hear any neighbors, well aside from the howler monkeys. It is a short drive to San Juanillo and 30 minutes to Nosara and Playa Guiones.
You need a 4 wheel drive to get up the final road to the house, especially if it is raining.

Wish I could go back today!
Wonderful house! Fabulous sunsets, great pool, well equipped kitchen, nice outdoor showers and fruit trees. There are pretty ceiling fans in all the rooms and a nice breeze blows though, but there is also a/c if you need it. The tiny town has a few great places to eat and hang out - the beach is very close by (good for shelling and protected for kids swimming) and surfing in Nosara, as well as zip lines, an array of cool shopping and restaurants, a bio (nature) reserve, and turtle watching are all an easy enough drive. A great place to base yourself and chill out! Good for a group of friends or big family.

Perfection...
We have had extended stays (usually 5 weeks) in three very different, very beautiful homes in the San Juanillo area in the last three years, and Casa Panoramica was by far our favourite. The house, and San Juanillo itself are beautifully isolated from any of the bustling 'tourism' to the North and South. The house is exceptionally well equipped - we love to cook, and found everything we could possibly need in a very well laid out kitchen as well as a great sound system and TV set-up if you need it. The pool is magnificent, as are the sunsets, and the canopy of stars that light up the sky after dark. The rooms themselves are clean, comfortable and practical, and our five year old was very happy with his selection of bunk beds. The roads in the area and especially up to the house are quite rough, but this is very common in this part of CR, and just means that you shouldn't be in a hurry to get anywhere… which should be a rule in CR anyway ;-). The beaches in San Juanillo are quiet and beautiful, and great for swimming, which is rare in a peninsula known for it's spectacular surfing (of which you can also find plenty within a short drive to the North and South). Also, in all of our three visits to CR, we have had the extraordinary privilege of seeing the Olive Ridley sea turtles laying and hatching on the beach in Ostional. Magical. The house manager, Steve, could not have been more helpful, and we are already planning our visit next winter. We truly can't say enough about the house, the area and the people, and can't wait to be back.

Save in Paradis
Our impression is that this house is a safe, beautiful and cofortable place in the middle of paradise. There is a lot of space for a family with children, it provides you with everything you might need. We have spent a great time there and want to thank, especially for the caretaker services by Steven.

A premier destination getaway in central America - costa Rica
Although it is referred to as the Panoramic house - I prefer to call it the infinity house as the infinity pool provides a view that seems to go on forever. I have been fortunate enough to have visited twice and believe the view, the house, the amenities and the location make this the complete getaway destination. Located not far from Nosara (known as the surfing capital of central America - and a great place to learn to surf, because of the consistency of the waves), the area offers deep sea fishing, snorkeling, off road vehicles and scuba diving. Getting there requires flying into Liberia or San Jose, and a car trip to the property. When you arrive, the birds and howler monkeys greet you at the house, letting you will know that this is one of those worthwhile - once in a lifetime ventures. Truly VIDA MIA...... life doesn't get any better.

Great time!
We stayed in this home for 5 weeks and had a wonderful time. The property is gorgeous! Landscaping is impeccable and the pool....AMAZING! The sunsets you get from the infinity pool are incredible. The kitchen has everything one needs to cook meals as if you were at home. Steven was very helpful and we enjoyed our stay. There's a great store right down the road with some of the essentials, people are very friendly and the beach is beautiful If you want to be in the heart of hustle and bustle...this is not for you. If you are looking for tranquility, privacy and a great time then this is IT! We were able to enjoy the Guanacaste region with our rental car (4X4). About an hour from Tamarindo where there's a great beach for surf and an hour from Santa Cruz where there's a larger grocery store and all other stores you may need. This was a great experience for our entire family!!!
