About this condo rental
Located in Cabarete, this lovely condo for $175 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. This tastefully appointed condominium will provide you with a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the laid back pace of beachfront island living. The condominium is located on a beautiful stretch of sandy shoreline internationally renowned for its consistent onshore kiting breeze. Unlike many properties listed in Cabarete, the beautiful sand beach and reef-protected break in front of our condo provide a great place to swim and paddle board. Our small, six-unit complex provides a tropical oasis amidst the hustle and bustle of the energetic community of Cabarete and a hidden pool surrounded by beautiful gardens provides a great escape from the mid-day wind and sun. Please note that Cabarete has strict laws prohibiting prostitution and our condo security will immediately evict any tenant suspected of inviting prostitutes onto the property. Our condominium has been a wonderful oasis for numerous families and travelers over the years and the combination of beautiful woods, stone, and tile have created a lovely space to rest and relax. The condominium has two well-appointed bedrooms and two clean and efficient bathrooms with glass enclosed showers. Each bedroom has a comfortable King Size bed and there is an available hotel-quality rollaway twin available if needed. Each bedroom also has quiet and efficient ceiling fans, access to a small poolside balcony, and A/C units if needed for warmer nights. The Palacio Atlantico condominium complex is a small, well-managed complex and is staffed 24 hours a day for your comfort and security. In addition, our personal condo unit is managed by a wonderful woman named Kathy Santos who will provide an on-island, English-speaking, point of contact for you throughout your stay. Kathy is a veritable encyclopedia of local knowledge and will be eager to assist in making your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Kathy is a wonderful host and will work to make sure that your arrival, stay, and departure goes well. If desired, Kathy will be more than pleased to assist in arranging for groceries upon your arrival, arrange for airport pickup, or arrange for tours or activities in the region for an additional charge. The renovated mahogany and quartz kitchen is equipped with a 36” propane range, gas oven, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, blender and a number of other small appliances. There is a small Weber grill on our ocean-front balcony for your use and all of the necessary utensils, pots, pans, plates, bowls, glasses, and mugs will be available for your use throughout your stay. For your convenience and entertainment, we recently installed a new 50” LED Smart television in the living room and a small TCL smart TV in the bedroom. The televisions will allow for streaming with your subscription to most streaming services but the view from the deck typically means the TV is rarely used. Please note that the internet in the Dominican Republic can be sporadic at times and we honestly try to view active WiFi as a bonus and not a given. That said, we have recently installed a fiberoptic connection and speeds up to 100 MB/S can be obtained upon request (typically maintained at approximately 30MB/S). Each weekly rental includes mid-week maid service to include delivery of new towels, and general cleaning of the unit. Longer rentals will include weekly visits to change linens and provide general housekeeping in addition to the mid-week service. If you would prefer more frequent maid service it can be arranged in advance of your trip or during your stay by contacting our manager Kathy for an additional fee. On site guest laundry services are available and we would ask that you contact our manager Kathy to arrange for our housekeeping staff to assist with your laundry needs for a reasonable charge. Although we trust our building staff implicitly, we provide a programmable lockbox for storage of your personal items in the master bedroom for your peace of mind. It is important to note that Cabarete is prone to occasional power outages as with many small third world communities. Our complex is equipped with a diesel generator for use in the event of a prolonged outage and our unit has battery-based inverters to supply electricity for shorter duration electrical outages. We also ask our guests to understand that electricity is quite expensive in the Dominican Republic and costs spike exponentially after a certain kW threshold is reached. That said, we encourage our renters to avoid overuse of the A/C units throughout the daytime hours and reserve the right to withhold a portion of the damage deposit for electrical costs if there is a gross overuse during a given stay (2x our normal kW usage). Our guests have always respected this policy and we have never needed to withhold any funds for an electrical overage to date.

We absolutely loved our stay at this property and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, comfortable, clean, well-equipped, nicely decorated place to stay in a gorgeous tropical location. The property is located right on the nicest, most tranquil beach of Cabarete (furthest from the town). The owner, property manager and staff could not be more friendly and helpful. Thank you for making our quick Christmas getaway so perfect!

The condo is perfectly spotted if you like the beach and to do Kite surf . It s clean and well equipped , we miss air conditioning for a couple of days but with the fan it was ok . Thanks for having us we re gonna come back .

Staying at this condo really did feel like being in paradise. The lush, tropical gardens are beautiful to behold from every vantage point- the balcony, the pool, and the walks in and out of the compound. Just a few steps from a quiet beach, the condo itself is light, spacious, and very comfortable. We were able to prepare some food for ourselves in the well-appointed kitchen, though we also enjoyed Mesa Taina, a restaurant that is just a few steps from the condo. Air-conditioning in the bedrooms helped us sleep during especially humid nights (though we tried not to overuse it). Despite the pleasant ambiance of the apartment, we spent much of our time relaxing on the balcony, listening to the waves, feeling the ocean breezes, and watching the kite boarders. We also enjoyed the pool area, which is a quiet, beautiful, shaded space, especially when the sun became a bit too much on the beach.
Everyone we interacted with was friendly, courteous, and responsive. Through his online communications, the owner was welcoming and very helpful with regard to logistics. Kathy, the manager, greeted us like family and could not have been more warm and accommodating. Any question we asked her was answered almost immediately. Marino seemed to be available at a moment's notice to take us wherever we wanted to go, and was so affable we looked forward to his company. The rest of the staff was equally pleasant and helpful; we were well cared for during our stay!
The condo is about a mile from the town of Cabarete and one of our favorite activities was walking along the beach into and out of town- an easy and very beautiful walk.
Honestly, I cannot say enough about this wonderful place. We hated to leave and look forward to our return!

My wife and I stayed at the Fravel's beautiful appartment working remotely for a month. We've stayed at Palacio Atlantico before in another unit. We love the location, just down from the main action from Kite Beach so a little quieter. The unit is well equipped and very well laid out. Excellent quality internet speeds so working was never an issue. The unit over looks the spectacular gardens and the ocean. The pool area is sublime. For kiters there is a ground floor storage room which makes packing up after a kite session super easy. We had the opportunity to meet with Ben and family while we were there which was great too. The building has only 6 units so is always peaceful. We love Kite Beach which has a real community feel and we'll never stay anywhere else when returning to Cabarete. Finally, we must mention Kathy and the rest of the staff. They are all wonderfully friendly and very attentive and we look forward to seeing them all again next year!

Overall the condo itself is a bit tired, not as we had anticipated based on the description in VRBO. The kitchen is well equipped and the bed in the master is comfortable. You can't see the beach from the 1st floor and it's difficult to get one of only 4 chairs on the deck in front of the beach available for 6 units. Parties of 4 send one person in with towels to reserve them. If you're a kiter this is a very good spot to be.

This was a beautiful condo, perfectly located on Kite Beach with a deck overlooking the beach and wonderful views off the balcony. Very well kept, clean, and comfortable. Everything about it was wonderful.

Our family has lived in the DR for years, so we have stayed in many places at different beaches. Ben's place at Palacio Atlantico is our favorite spot on the island! The apartment is very nice - nicely decorated, with a well-stocked kitchen, and it has an incredible view from its large balcony of beautiful gardens and Kite Beach. There is a constant breeze that keeps it comfortable. The beach is almost empty in the mornings, then in the afternoons you can watch the kite surfers. The apartment is kept clean and well maintained by the staff, and Kathy quickly responds to any needs that arise. We hope to keep coming back!

We love the location- the kites are so beautiful, and there is plenty to do nearby, but you can also be the only one on the beach some days- the best of both worlds. We had everything we needed, and the kitchen was well-equipped. The communication with both the owner and the property manager was great- very quick responses and Kathy was very kind and helpful. Highly recommend!

Beautiful location!
The condo is lovely- as someone else mentioned, it's even better than the pictures! We love the location- the kites are so beautiful, and there is plenty to do nearby, but you can also be the only one on the beach some days- the best of both worlds. We loved our stay and will stay again. Honestly, it didn’t fully meet the high expectations we had based upon everyone else’s reviews. It seems like Kathy has gotten busier and is less attentive. However, when it mattered the most she came through for us.
The owner, Ben was amazing and went over and above to make sure everything was perfect!
We used Marino as our taxi driver who was always available within minutes of our call on “What’s App” and it cost less than we would have paid for a rental car. He was always gracious and made multiple stops and waited for us while shopping. He even spent the day taking us to The 27 Waterfalls and Ziplining. Instead of booking with tour company we had a private comfortable ride on our schedule bought our tickets on site and paid less than booking through a tour company. I can’t say enough good about Marino. He is the cement that held the trip together.
Our only real complaint was that we were only provided one garbage bag per trash can and one roll of toilet paper per bathroom. No soap either in the kitchen or bathrooms. We requested soap and after repeatedly asking and then seeking out the housekeeper we finally got one soap dispenser for the kitchen.
I would think the owner and manager would want the guests to take out the garbage not leave it in the room to attract bugs, and wash the dishes with soap!
Doesn’t it benefit all guests in the long run? It seemed like they relied more upon the guests purchasing supplies and leaving the left overs for the next guests provisions.
There are two dogs on property that are so sweet and friendly but don’t be fooled if they sense danger such as someone approaching on the beach they are quick to protect the guests. They were like our personal pets while we were there. If you don’t like dogs you may not like it. We loved that part of the stay.
The little tiki deck beachside was my favorite place to relax and read a book listen to the waves and watch the kites flying.
The unit was very clean and updated. There was an ant problem in the kitchen any food must be kept tightly sealed. Maybe providing ziplock bags would be a nice idea. I requested Kathy to pick some up for us but she never did.
My son got sick while there and Kathy contacted the pharmacy and arranged for medication to be delivered by the morning.
Overall I gave 4 star rating because any drawbacks were outweighed by exceptional areas but there are areas for improvement.

We just had a wonderful week at this beautiful property. The condo was clean, the grounds were immaculate, and the beach was gorgeous. This is an ideal home away from home on the incredible Kite Beach! We enjoyed taking walks on the beautiful white sand beach, sitting at the palapa watching kite surfing, taking a dip at the pool with the serene sound of the waterfall.
The property has the most luscious landscaped gardens in all of Kite Beach!
Palacio Atlantico 1-B is spacious with beautifully equipped gourmet kitchen, Nespresso coffee maker with varied espresso pods; beautifully decorated bedrooms and very comfortable beds; bathrooms with safe and roomy shower stalls.
The staffs are extremely attentive! Pedro Jose, jack of all trades, keeps the garden in perfect shape, Mr. Fixit; Delcia keeps everything sparkling clean AND gives incredible massages! Last but not least Kathy Santos, the manager, who is very welcoming, attends to all the details and helpful with our transportation needs and recommendations to all of our shopping needs.
We have become fondly of Blanca and Noir, the resident dogs, that provide companionship during the day and security during the night.

The staffs are extremely attentive! Pedro Jose, jack of all trades, keeps the garden in perfect shape, Mr. Fixit; Delcia keeps everything sparkling clean AND gives incredible massages! Last but not least Kathy Santos, the manager, who is very welcoming, attends to all the details and helpful with our transportation needs and recommendations to all of our shopping needs.
We have become fondly of Blanca and Noir, the resident dogs, that provide companionship during the day and security during the night.

my wife and I have rented numerous condos throughout the island and had intended to stay at placio atlantioc for only a week after only a few days we decided to extend our stay to 3 weeks... the grounds of the property are outstanding a tropical paridise pictures do it no justice ...the condo was beautiful spacious and well equipied hotel style very comfortable beds and the place was spotless ...ps . not to mention the breath taking views hope we have the pleasure of staying there again

Garden of Eden
We loved our stay at this beachfront condo! The gardens are absolutely beautiful. They surround the pool and border the walkways making it all feel like Paradise. The unit, which is just steps away from the ocean, has a spacious balcony for enjoying the beach views and breezes. The condo itself is nicely decorated and well appointed, with a full kitchen, large dining table, spacious living area, and 2 bedroom/bath combinations with king size beds. Both the owner and the manager are friendly and responsive, as are all of the staff. Right next door to the condo is a little restaurant with delicious food and great drinks. We walked along the beach to Cabarete almost daily; it's such a beautiful walk (about a mile). Honestly, we couldn't have had a better time nor been more impressed with our accommodations. We look forward to returning next year!

As good as it gets
We had an absolutely amazing experience at the Apt. It's located directly oceanfront in the heart of Kite Beach. The Apt is beautiful, clean, fully stocked, and has everything you might need, and Kathy (the property manager) is always on call if there's anything you might need during your stay. Ben (The owner) was extremely helpful and patient during the booking process making sure we are absolutely satisfied. I will absolutely stay here again the next time we are in Cabarete. Thanks again for an amazing experience!
