About this cottage rental
Nestled in Bokeelia, this charming cottage for $154 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. Perfect for those seeking a peaceful retreat or just to get away for some time alone. This original Florida cracker-style house consists of the main great room, kitchen and dining areas, one bathroom and one bedroom with a queen bed. We do have a pull-out bed in the living room. It is a really cool and relaxing house. It is wired with WIFI, Local and streaming TV. There is a music collection that you have full use of. CD's, Cassettes, LP Records and Radio. The home has central air, RO Water Filtration for drinking water and ice. Your dog is welcome. Two minutes to local ramp for fishermen. Bring your boat or kayaks. Close to marinas, boat ramps and restaurants. Take the local ferry to the out-island like Cayo-Costa, Captiva and Cabbage Key for lunch. This is a secluded location, so don't be surprised if you get a visit from our local peacocks. Old Tropical Florida at it's finest. NOTE: The months of January, February and March require full month bookings (no weekly or daily bookings). If the calendar shows that a portion of one of these months has been booked, please inquire with manager to possibly arrange to rent the remainder of that month. Otherwise, any request for a partial month will be declined. ALSO: Security/damage deposit for these months will be $1000.00. You have all of the benefits of having our staff available 24 hours a day during your stay. Just in case you should have any question or issue. We are here for you. We need those 5 star reviews!

This cottage was exactly what I was looking for to cool off and rejuvenate. Very private and has all the essentials for the stay. Stayed for a month and everything is as described in the posting. Carl is an amazing host; responding quick and tried to accommodate all my requests. Having purified water is a luxury as I always spend a decent amount on fancy spring water or purified water. Could not really explore any games, music or TV as i was pretty busy with work and travel. Enjoyed the nearby places whenever I got time. Island has decent restaurants and coffee places. Thoroughly enjoyed my time peacefully at the cottage. yes you will get to see the peacocks once in a while. Will definitely be going back and see Carl again. Thanks Carl ! for the wonderful property. Ohh yes! the beer mug in the freezer was a cool sign :) ( I luv beers). Thanks again !

If you are looking for some peace & seclusion, then this place is for you!! Carl was such a pleasure to have as a host. Any questions you may have, he responds quickly as well as being a realtor on the island just in case you fall in love with the island as we did. Peacock cottage is perfect
We loved the cottage location and the cottage was exactly what we were looking for. The accommodations were wonderful, we enjoyed the music collection and the wildlife surrounding this beautiful location. We did see the peacocks too!! Thanks Carl and Lynn!!

Great place
We loved the island and really enjoyed the house. Perfect for two people and a dog. Carl was always available when ever we needed anything. He even helped us find a dog sitter. Hope to get back next year.

You couldn't ask for a more peaceful, quiet setting than Peacock Cottage! Tucked away down a private dirt road with NO traffic, surrounded by palms. pine trees and mango plantations, the cottage is an awesome place to write, romance, or just relax with loved ones. Without a doubt the cleanest VRBO I've ever stayed at! Well equipped kitchen and very comfy bed.
The most amazing thing ever was the collection of vintage LP records and a record player to play them on! We especially enjoyed the DVDs of some of our favorite movies. I highly recommend Peacock Cottage for anyone who wants to get away from it all in an exotic location on Pine Island FL.

Secluded, getaway cottage in vintage Florida style
Carl was easy to reach and very responsive. The kitchen was well equipped with water filtration system.
Nice to have a clothes washing machine and dryer in unit. The real charm was found in original photography and classic record collection. Cozy, good for couple or solo writer's retreat.

Perfect in Every Way!
We had a wonderful stay at the cottage for the month of April. The quiet and solitude were such a welcome break from the norm. It was very clean and well supplied. We didn't have to ask for a thing. Carl and Lynn were great Hosts. It was such a treat to be surrounded by nature. Palm trees, all kinds of wildlife including many types of birds including peacocks. It really was an amazing time for us. Pine Island itself is also a real treat. Would highly recommend the cottage to others to enjoy. Not many places left like this!

Quiet Seclusion
Even on a soggy Memorial Day weekend, we had a fabulous time on Pine Island. The cottage is well appointed if you like to cook and you have total privacy at the end of a gravel road. Great job in refurbishing an old cottage. There are many places to eat and a particularly nice gallery in Bokeelia. Since it rained all weekend, we didn't get to kayak or take advantage of the outdoor activities, but we did enjoy the great LP collection and watched several movies. Be aware that there is no cable for the TV, but if you understand a fire stick, you will be in good shape. Pine Island is what I imagine old Florida was like! There is nothing pretentious here and nothing that feels "touristy."

Perfect little place to get away from it all
I can't say enough of how adorable this cottage was. The area is secluded enough to make you feel like you're alone, but still close enough to everything in town. The perfect place for much needed time away from reality. Carl was beyond attentive even for being out of town himself. We'll be looking forward to renting from him again!

End of the road private, cute little cottage with plenty of room for two to enjoy romance or simply relax. Carl said 'there is plenty of music'..what an understatement! Discovered old vinyl records, cassettes and a lifetime of CDs. Lynn's beautiful photos grace the walls. Yes, the White Peacocks visited.

My husband said that I have out did myself he was so pleased with everything we both loved it our host Carl was always helpful everything is very cute and clean during the last days we we're visited by a wild pure white peacock stunning !!! flew up on top of the garage we also saw other types of birds as well

Excellent accomodations and terrific landlords.
We thoroughly enjoyed our month at Lynn & Carl's Vintage Florida Cracker House. The cozy cottage was very clean and well stocked with pots, pans, books, music , WIFI, and a variety of premium TV channels via Roku. We enjoyed sunning on the deck and received several visits from a flock of peacocks, an armadillo, a squadron of 4 eagles, ospreys galore and many other birds (bring your binoculars)! The cottage is very private, providing a wonderful getaway for two. We could not have asked for a better introduction to Pine Island.
Lynn and Carl provided many personal touches (wait until you see Lynn's photography, Carl's music collection and Carl even printed out our baseball tickets) that you just won't get at most seasonal rentals. Stay with confidence and enjoy!
