Spacious four bedroom/three full bath home sits nestled in the woods on the Platte River in the Sleeping Bear Dunes Region of Michigan. The property features two master suites, one up and one down. The house is furnished and includes a fully stocked kitchen and linens and bedding are provided for your convenience. There is a large loft for families to gather and watch movies or play games while enjoying the view of the scenic Platte River. Enjoy the outdoors on the large deck equipped with grill and an outdoor dining table. Sit and relax on one of the two docks or drop a line and fish for a bit. A fire pit is available for an evening fire. The property is located close to the beaches of Lake Michigan. The many outdoor activities available include, kayaking, dune climbing, golf, hiking, biking, miniature golf, skiing, snowmobiling and more. Explore the many lakes in the area, including Platte Lake, Little Platte Lake, Big Glen Lake, Little Glen Lake, Otter Lake and many more. Crystal Mountain Ski Resort is minutes away and is open year round. The quaint towns of Honor, Empire and Glen Arbor are just a few nearby places to dine and shop.

Did a weekend ski/hang out with extended family. Lots of places to sleep and numerous beds. The house was very cute with a great view of the Platte River. It had everything we needed. Close to Crystal Mountain and Traverse City so you can ski and shop. Highly recommend this house.

Libby’s property was everything we wanted! It was close to the beaches, drive-in movies & the kayaks were an added bonus! We would definitely recommend this place to stay & hopefully return in the future.

Our group of 8 (including 2 sets of grand parents and 2 young kids) had a wonderful stay in Libby’s home. We used the kayaks, built fires in the fire pit and enjoyed meals on the deck. We had plenty of space to relax. The location is great - close to beaches and other towns to explore. We hope to stay again!

We had a wonderful time at this house. It was close to Interlochen for concerts and shows and right on a creek for kayaking as well as many other activities. It fit our family perfectly!

Our family of 9 adults as well as children enjoyed the setup and location of this home on the river. We used the kayaks twice and especially appreciated the tip about Peterson Rd beach, which was definitely a family favorite. We also visited Frankfort, Sleeping Bear, and Glen Arbor. Libby was responsive with questions which was helpful for our stay.

This house is the perfect getaway. We loved both the inside and outside spaces of the house. Both were very well maintained. We spent every night out by the fire. It was the perfect spot for a nice relaxing vacation.

Great time, nice & peaceful on the river. Very clean, great spaces for all kinds of family fun - both indoors & outside. Beautiful deck, big kitchen, & lots of sleeping room. Great location close to the sand dunes. Owners were very responsive to our questions.

Had a great time with all my friends and the included kayaks was a huge plus, Platte river is intense with a lot of obstacles so be ready. Buddy caught a trout. Place was very well kept and clean. Thought the window ac units being the only cooling source was gonna be an issue but it worked out amazing as the nights were cool. Basement could use some TLC but had 0 affect on our time everyone had a blast and is very affordable we would come back again.

The host was gracious and allowed us to take our dog after plans fell through. Upon arrival, it was very clear that others (owners or guests) bring pets as well as there was waste all over the yard, the driveway and the steps going into the home. While the beds were comfortable and the bedrooms spacious, many things were in a mild state of disrepair (holes in the wall, tape on a window, a missing cabinet door, the overhead light didn’t work in the loft bedroom and the lamp was missing a lightbulb, the fan light in the master bath didn’t work, etc).
The loft was wonderful for our children and the bedrooms downstairs accommodated the adults and younger children well, and it could be an awesome rental with a bit of TLC. In short, we’ve stayed in number of rentals in the area and the cost of this one did not align with our expectations.

This is a charming and surprisingly spacious cabin along the Platte river with an absolutely stunning view. Very well kept and clean. The owners continue to make improvements every year and obviously care a lot about the property.

Second time in the area and we had a great time in this very nice setting. The access to the river immediately behind the property was wonderful. Highly recommend this as a place to stay.

We stayed at Riverbend Retreat for our 4th year this year and we have been very very satisfied every year. The property is gorgeous, Libby is so attentive and kind and we highly recommend staying here. Love it!

Peaceful setting in Honor. The house is nice and spacious. They have plenty of toys for the choosing, with a nice deck overlooking the Platte River.
Good location for golfers who are playing local courses like Champion Hill and Pinecroft.

Can't recommend this property enough. The location next to the river is serene and there is plenty of things to do within 30 minutes of the property.

We had a large group of four couples, five toddlers between us. The property was perfect for a large group! Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for everyone to have their own space. Kayaks available to use, and a serene, peaceful setting on the river. Very well stocked kitchen - everything you could possibly need! Very close to all the area attractions - 15-20 mins to Sleeping Bear Dunes sites like the dune climb, Empire Bluffs trail, Pierce Stocking scenic drive, Platte Beach, Esch Beach, etc. Great stay! Property outside is a lot nicer than the picture depicts. Having the kayaks was a major plus! Saved a lot of money to not having to rent them.

We loved this place! The house and property are beautiful. The docks were perfect for hanging out by the river in the morning. There were plenty of kayaks, and beach equipment for the adults and kids, and the location can't be beat! We can't wait to come back up next year!

We had such a great time. The house was beautiful. Super clean. Libby checked in with us to see how we were doing and if we needed anything.
We enjoyed watching the kayaks and canoes go by and loved the fires at night.

We had an amazing time here on our family vacation. The house is very well stocked with many items from the kitchen to kayaks! We were able to kayak from the back yard down the beautiful river. The house is located in a great place with many experiences within 20-30 minutes. We visited Esche beach and it was more beautiful then Incould imagine. The host is quick to respond with any issues. We made great memories together here!

My family needed a place to stay while we were skiing at Crystal Mountain. Great space and beautiful setting. We were able to find quite a few things to do in the area. The house needs some repairs but met our needs while there.

Location was great, however gas grill did not have gas and in poor shape. House could have been cleaner. We did not call property manager

Thanks for renting your beautiful home. We had a wonderful time on the river and fishing over on the Bestie. We used the kayaks for a great ride from Veterans State Park back to the house. River was fast and fun! The house is very comfortable and clean. It had everything needed for a wonderful week.

This property was simply charming. Very spacious for 9 adults. We loved the location and the seclusion in the woods. 2 docks made fishing super fun. We loved the large kitchen and the bright, open house. The location was perfect for our annual kayak trip up the Platte River!!
