Always a lovely experience on mission beach

Staying here was a wonderful experience for our family of 4! It feels more like you are staying at a friend's beach house than a rental. The house is very clean and has everything you could need. There were countless positives, but here are the main ones that made our stay great: 1) 2 stall garage for parking. We had a Chevy Traverse that fit w/ about a foot to spare. 2) Beach Proximity. The beach is only 60 paces from the back gate. 3) Supplies. We used the provided beach chairs almost every day, took the bikes on the board walk (there were 6 in the garage), kids used the sand toys, and my son loves basketball, so it was great they had one on hand so we could play on the beach court. 4) Walking distances. Our kids loved Belmont Park which we walked to often, Starbucks is right down the road, walked for take-out several times. 5) Quiet and safe. We chose this location for how quiet it is. There is a permanent family next door, we walked to pick up food at night with no safety concerns, and the end of the boardwalk was very quiet during the week. Other notables. The patio was beautiful, but we only really used it during the day to relax in the sun and read while listening to the ocean. The internet is fast and reliable. There is DirectTV and Netflix (other apps as well, but didn't use them). There is also washer and dryer that we used throughout the week. The owners are very responsive. We texted a few times with some questions and they were very quick to respond.

Kids had a week off school so we took a trip to San Diego from the East Coast and found this perfectly located home in Mission Beach. A few steps from the beach, with a nice walk to Belmont Park and nearby Restaurants for Brunch. Perfect location to sites all over San Diego as it was a 15 min drive anywhere we visited (Old Town, Zoo, Restaurants in Little Italy and Gaslamp). Then we always ended the day relaxing in the beautiful living room of this house. We would stay here again!

This darling beach cottage was absolutely perfect for our week in San Diego. The location at the southern end of Mission Beach is ideal if you want peace and quiet; yet Belmont Park is a short walk away. We enjoyed every, single day and loved returning to this beautiful home each night.

Home is absolutely adorable, high end furnishings and exactly as advertised. Would highly recommend and will gladly rebook if/when in Mission Beach again!

This cottage is just a beautiful place, the ocean will transform you if you allow it, the neighborhood welcomes you as though you never left home but now live in a new home. There's nothing like it in my experience.

We took our grandkids to the beach to celebrate the end of school. All of us had a great time. Enjoyed the location, so close to the water!

Wow - what a wonderful beach house! It was so clean and inviting. The listing was extremely accurate - everything you could need was right there. The decor is perfect - made us feel at home as soon as we walked in. The patio is wonderful too. Plenty of space to rest, relax, eat and enjoy the beautiful weather. And of course the location couldn't be better - so many things to do so close by; whether it was relaxing at the beach or bay, Balboa Park, etc. I will most definitely plan to return in the future - thank you for making this property available to rent - it was just perfect!

Our family throughly enjoyed our stay in South Mission beach. The beach house was immaculate, warm, inviting and close to both the ocean and the bay. We would recommend it to anyone traveling to the San Diego area.

We arrived for a four night stay on Wednesday and right away we were relaxed. The house is just as pictured, everything we needed was on hand. Our family spent most of our time at the beach- we used the beach chairs, boogie boards and the bikes every day. We rented surf boards and wet suits and used outdoor shower a TON! It’s a quiet neighborhood midweek but was pretty busy on Saturday. Walking distance to great tacos at Sara’s. We are already planning next years trip!

We had a wonderful time at E'Toile de Mar! You can't beat the location a 60 second walk to the beach in a quiet, well maintained are of Mission Beach. This home has everything you need for a comfortable stay, tons of beach accessories, toys and chairs makes the time on the beach even more enjoyable. We loved the patio/outdoor area. The house was immaculate and plenty of space for our family of 5! Will recommend to friends and family, thanks for sharing your beautiful home!

This house was perfect for our stay. Beautiful renovations and all of the amenities you need. Love this neighborhood. Owner was easy to contact with any questions we had. The only thing I just want people to be aware of is the early check out and expectations for check out. Maybe this is standard for the area, I was just surprised. Not an actual complaint just want to make others aware as I didn't find this out until I was sent the general instructions the day before. Checkout is 10 am. You are asked to take all sheets off of beds, start all towels in the washer and wash all dishes and put them away. Other than this an amazing place!!!

My family and I spent 10 days at this wonderful cottage. It was absolutely perfect for us and only steps to the sand. It felt very private even though neighbors are close. Ronnie was a fabulous host. We plan to stay here again in the future.

Enjoyed out stay.

This is the second time that we have stayed at this home. The location is outstanding! SO close to the beach. The outdoor area is awesome and s'mores are a must! Amenities with the bikes and beach equipment is great. Took the bikes out for a couple of rides on both the beach and bay sides. Great vacation!

An absolutely lovely cottage! Perfect for us and our 2 daughters. We enjoyed daily walks to the beach, bay, kids parks and Belmont. This is the best location! The house was very well stocked and extremely clean. We basically lived on the patio! Also nice to have a 2 car garage for family who visited during the holiday weekend. The best part was riding the beach cruisers and having BBQs. Thanks again and fight on.

This is a great little beach house with great neighbors on the quite side of mission beach. We loved our stay.

Our family enjoyed a lovely time at this charming beach house that is very near the water. We walked every day either to the ocean or to the bay and had a blast. We enjoyed the patio, bbq grill and outdoor seating the most! The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful and we felt very comfortable just being outside and enjoying the location. Thank you to the owners and we hope for another future stay.

This Spanish-style Mission Beach cottage is only a block from the Pacific, located on a very quiet pedestrian street. Well-stocked kitchen, large and comfy patio surrounded by roses. We had a little trouble with a tetchy security system and smoke alarm, but I'm certain that will soon be resolved by the very nice owners.

Had a lovely stay in the cottage near Mission Beach. The place itself is adorable, clean, modern appliances in the kitchen (which was also fully stocked), patio area was great for eating dinner and making s’mores by the fire pit. Owners are nice enough to provide all amenities you will need for beach (chairs, umbrella l, ice chest, beach toys, towels, etc). The cottage is a short walk to the beach and located in a nice quiet area. The neighbors are very friendly as well, my daughters spent much time chatting with one of the children next door. Ronnie is quick to respond to any questions/concerns you may have and thoroughly provided check-in/check-out information. Would definitely come back to this property when back in the SD area!

We enjoyed a wonderful Easter break with our family of 3 in this lovely Mission Beach cottage. Just steps from the beach with all the set up needed for a great vacation. We wish we could stay longer and will come again!

This was a very nice place to stay, having all the amenities of a house made it very comfortable. Having a garage to park in is key in this area and the front patio area was great. You are close enough to the beach/boardwalk but away from all the noise. Very relaxing!

It is the absolute best location for our group. We have twin teen boys. We used the two bikes provided and rented two others. We were out and about on Mission beach every day. We used the badminton set up as well. The beach house was immaculate and so organized. We had a great day. The only thing wrong is we couldn’t stay longer.
