i cannot gush enough about how beautiful the ocean view was and the pool area- the community was safe and well keptThe condo itself needed some TLC. The kitchen sink smelled and caused the whole first floor to smell like rotting fish the duration of our stay. There were roaches that properly gave me the creeps- two on patio and a dead roach behind the TV. The bed, sofa and chairs were uncomfortable and the living room furniture just looked quite dirty. Overall it was all about the location. the actual condo needs help

This condo needs a deep cleaning. Floors in bathrooms and bedrooms were very dirty. Picture above couch had child’s fingerprints which were very visible. We did enjoy the view from our porch and the pool was very nice. Lots of chairs.

No WiFi in main floor bedroom, bathrooms need updating, master shower door will barely close and drain comes up if your foot hits it, only one towel per person for the week, the furniture was old and stained- lots of room and has lots of potential, but updates needed.

Location in Wild Dunes was wonderful. Can see ocean from back patio. Pool is right behind condo and beach was a short walk away as well. Was there on a girls trip so we weren’t in the condo too much. Condo had everything you’d need for a long weekend stay but definitely wasn’t the cleanest. Can’t beat the location - would have been a 5 star review if place was cleaner.

Condo was spacious and accommodated our family. Didn’t particularly like walking up the stairs to the condo and also had stairs inside to 2 bedrooms. Having a washer and dryer were a nice feature. Kitchen was well supplied. However, pots and pans should be replaced..quite scratched. Would like plastic glassware especially for children. Plenty of seating but furnishings were older and soiled.

My family and I had a wonderful stay. The property is in the perfect location and we enjoyed sitting gin the balcony and being able to see both the ocean and the pool. There were a couple of leaks that we had to call maintenance for, but they were quickly fixed.

Mariners walk 4D was very spacious. Actually more than what we needed for my husband and myself. We wanted a getaway during my chemotherapy break and chose this lovely oceanfront complex. It was clean but need some updates particularly in the bathrooms. The kitchen really needed better pots and pans and utensils for those that cook in some during vacation. The pool is convenient and quiet. Our unit was on the second floor and therefore we had 3 flights of steps to the front door and then the master bedroom was on the second floor. Exhausting for me and also for my husband when carrying luggage and groceries and coolers. There was no cable tv in the unit and Netflix would not stay connected. Thankfully I took my laptop and an hdmi cable or we would not have been able to watch our shows at night.

This property has the potential to be very nice. Unfortunately it appears the roof has been leaking for quite some time. There is evidence of water damage around the sky light, several places in the floors, and even mold around the electrical outlets. The roof leaked onto our bed during our stay for the majority of the week. The rental company was wonderful and very prompt to get someone out to try and fix the problem. We were just very disappointed with the condition of this unit considering the price to rent it.

Our rental experience was pretty good. Pros - spacious 2nd floor unit with nice views, 3 full bathrooms, Mariners Walk has a nice pool, property backs up to beach, and pricing was competitive. Cons - updates are needed, some paint is flaking off of the ceiling (which is likely why price was lower).

Living room upholstery was stained and dirty, we used sheets as slipcovers. Chair seats in dining room same, even had food crumbs in seats. This condo has so much potential, just needs a facelift. As always, Island realty staff are great.

This was not our favorite rental at Mariners Walk. Needed a few new things. The couch was filthy and I didn't want to sit on it. Had to call for more towels. One per person a week is not cool. Had to actually sweep the bugs and cobwebs from door and outside lights. Cabinets weirdly set up. They hit dishwasher door when opened. Toaster was broke. Fan in the bedroom downstairs was shaking and we could not use. Told that homeowner was waiting till end of summer to replace. Nice. What about us? Still loved how close the beach was. The management Co was great and took care of all our complaints quickly. U should Thank them! I love the short walk to the beach here that is why I return all the time.

Room enough for privacy, yet living room/dining room table spacious enough for us all to come together. Great view of pool and peeks of the ocean. Easy walk to the beach. Will stay here at 4D or Mariners Walk again. Very peaceful, beautiful and relaxing.

Having stayed in many different condos, I would not choose to return to this one. It was way over priced and was lacking in many areas! Cockroaches on the ceiling and walls, water damaged with paint peeling on the ceiling in many different rooms, had the thermostat replaced with the technician leaving a mess of drywall and screws/nails all over the floor without cleaning up, Majority of the ceiling fans wobbled to the point of almost falling from the ceiling which rendered them useless.

Overall, this place was OK. Built in the mid 1980's it appears to have been a rental for 30+ years, with only the minimum required upkeep. Beds were between Ok and poor. If we'd gotten a huge discount, this place would have been fine, but we paid a premium...ouch!

This unit is older, wasn't real clean and was the smallest 3 bedroom unit we have stayed in compared to other properties at wild dunes. We thought it was overpriced in light of the above.
Add to that the fact that they were painting and roofing the units while we were there and that only added to the fun. Imagine painters crawling unannounced onto your deck at 9am while on vacation! Said they would only be there for an hour and were there for 2 days!Even plugged in their radio on our deck and played it while working. Better yet, the blinds in the living room don't close all they way. The later in the week they were working on the front side so we had to move our car. Roofers pounding until 8:30. Nothing like spending your vacation in a construction zone.
The pool was open but we were told there would be an attendant to monitor capacity and clean. No, not all week was there one.

We've been staying at MW for years!! We love that the pool has some shade, the quick walk to the beach and the different layout options of the units. We went with a bigger unit this time for a little more space. What I didn't anticipate was that the bigger units might be little more worn. This one was for sure! Perhaps more rowdy kids and absentminded "it ain't ours" parents? I don't think the floors have been mopped in months, so bring some house shoes or slippers. You might also bring some Lysol wipes for sticky door handles and general disinfecting during this pandemic. Other than a little lack of cleanliness, we found this unit great! The AC is superb! We were kind of worried with the ceiling fans and floor fans, but we actually woke up freezing the first night! The ice maker pumped out ice super fast all week. We never had to buy any. The kitchen was well stocked as well for light cooking. The disposal was clogged upon arrival the IR took care of it immediately. Oh and you have to reauthenticate the wifi with every device, every day. Kind of a pain and I wish it was noted somewhere in the unit or on the piece of paper with the password. Hate that embarrassing phone call every year just to be reminded to re-authenticate and don't use google because it won't do it. Overall we'd stay here again, until we can buy our own! Thanks for sharing your place with us!

We booked Mariners Walk 4D last minute and on a budget because COVID changed our original summer vacation plans. We were very pleased with the location of the unit, it was very comfortable. The only negative thing we noticed was that the guest room TV did not work. Upon further inspection the cable outlet in the guestroom was connected to the main TV in the living room. Not a big deal at all to us but worth noting.

The unit was nice. Beds were comfortable and we had all the basics needed and lots of stuff in the kitchen we did not use. The unit could stand with an update in the bathrooms but it was very functional and useable. The outdoor furniture on the deck will need to be replaced after this season. The item I think needs the most attention is the lighting in the living/eating area. At night this was dim when trying to play games at the table.

It's a great location as far as being by a beautiful beach. The grounds are nice. The unit itself is okay. The bathrooms are small. The king bathroom's sliding shower door was off track and water didn't drain out fast enough. There wasn't even salt and pepper in the cabinets. It was basically clean, not sparkling clean but ok. There was a slightly run down feeling. The view from king matter was of the ocean the other rooms were of the grounds. I haven't stayed on the island before so I don't know if this is typical for the price. I had read other reviews so I wad prepared not to find a really great place. All that being said, it's totally adequate and if it's not overpriced then I would have to say I would recommend as long as expectations are kept in line.
