About this cottage rental
Kayadon 2 is a well-equipped 2 bedroom, 2 bath unique beach property utilizing an open concept design. Gliding barn doors separate the bedrooms from the living area providing privacy while maintaining an open feel. The front bedroom has a private bath that opens to an outdoor shower for rinsing off after a day at the beach or simply open the shower door to the outside and experience a shower under the stars! The back bedroom also has a bath entrance but is shared for common use. The living room and kitchen are a great room with an open concept. All furnishings are new with plenty of seating. Kayadon 2 sleeps 4 in beds. The couch is large enough to sleep a 5th person, however it would be cozy. The outside front porch is ideal for people watching and enjoying the weather. There is a side gathering area for relaxing. Parking in the driveway for 1 car and ample street parking. I also have another cottage on my property. Beautifully decorated cozy cottage between La Jolla (.77 of a mile) and Bird Rock neighborhood (2 miles) and beautiful beach 1 1/2 blocks. Neat, clean and had a beach/surf vibe. Quaint neighborhood that is quiet and safe. Watch sunset through family room window, relax at fire pit, cook a gourmet meal in open kitchen, or grab a morning coffee for a predawn walk to beach. Great for no more than 4 adults or 2 adults with 2 children, bathrooms are self contained with water closet/shower combo that is unique. Fans and sound machines make for great sleep assistants. Cottage is one house in from main La Jolla Blvd but road noise was at a minimum. Easy to walk to down town La Jolla shopping or rent a golf cart and store in 2 car garage. Manager was attentive to our needs even when we had a plumbing issue. Definately would return for extended stay.

Firstly, the cottage is immaculate, well appointed, and decorated perfectly!!! The location was ideal for our needs. We have stayed at numerous properties in La Jolla that are dog friendly and this one was by far the best❤️. This unit was the icing on the cake for a relaxing family reunion and Thanksgiving weekend. We look forward to a return visit!!!

We enjoyed staying here SO much. The cottage was perfect for our needs! It was magical walking a few minutes to catch a glorious sunset at the beach. We could walk to restaurants and a grocery market. The neighborhood is gorgeous! The cottage had everything we needed and was spacious for two couples. We enjoyed the outdoor space. Michael and Terri are great hosts and we would stay here again in a heartbeat and recommend it to friends. It was the perfect La Jolla stay. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Me, my husband and 2 grandkids were very comfortable at the La Jolla Beach Cottage. The beds were super comfy and the kitchen was great. We loved the outdoor shower, bottle of wine and the decor of the cottage. We walked to the beach several times and appreciated the use of the sand toys and sun umbrella.

We loved our visit again … our annual summer spot. The neighborhood is historic and charming and close to beach and town.

We loved this property, would definitely stay here again. Has all the accommodations we needed for our family vacation. Location is in walking distance to beaches, restaurants, coffee shops. Decor is super cute. Overall we loved it and can’t wait to come back!

My family had a wonderful time here. The place was clean, comfortable and was in the perfect location to take a short walk to the local beach, or a short drive to any of the other great beaches in La Jolla. I really appreciated the extra amenities, having beach towels, bikes, a boogie board, and beach chairs, which made our beach days that much more fun. I highly recommend this place and would definitely look for it again, if we were to return to La Jolla.

This place has everything you need. Loved the morning
and evening strolls to the beach. Roasted Marshmallow nights with our littles, and relaxing time enjoying the cove. The cottage is charming and beautifully decorated and maintained. The owner and property manager were very responsive and kind.

All was beautiful except the TV is very hard to work. Gave up and used my iPad. Other than that we had a very enjoyable stay. Close to everything. Excellent restaurants in the area. Bed very comfortable.

We had an excellent stay. This was one of the best outfitted houses we have rented. It had everything we needed and then some. We were close to the beach, restaurants, and attractions. The beds were even super comfortable. Perfect for a day out exploring and an evening to unwind. I would highly recommend.

I loved my stay in the cottage and I loved the neighborhood. Walking distance to to beach, coffee shop, grocery store, etc. I also loved sitting out front and enjoyed the fire pit.
I did have problems with the living room TV. Otherwise everything was wonderful.

This is probably our 5th time staying at this property. Terri is a terrific host! The house is extremely cozy, perfectly appointed, and in a great location a few blocks from the beach and a short walk into town. Our family always has an amazing time when we visit and are looking forward to our next trip!

Perfect get away for mother/daughter retreat!
I have been searching for the perfect place in the area to come visit my daughter since she moved from Seattle to San Diego last year. I think I finally found it! This place is close to all things in beautiful La Jolla. Beach, coffee, restaurants, walks, bike rides, movie nights and wine by the fire pit outside. It was a magical place that we will be sure to revisit my next trip. Terri and Michael are the best as far as response and follow through. All this makes this a perfect spot to spend a few days to get away from the Seattle rain while spoiling one of my girls.

We stayed at this property during a trip to San Diego to drop off our son at UCSD. The house is really gorgeous and just a short walk to the beach. The kitchen is very well stocked, the house was spotless and beautifully decorated. We enjoyed our stay there and would love to come back and spend more time.

Walking distance
My partner & I rented this cute cottage. Every morning we would walk to get our coffee. Bring it back and sat out by the fire pit, it was so relaxing. Everything is so close you could walk to dinner, beach, breakfast. I would definitely stay here again.

We loved how close it was to the beach! Good communication with the property manager, we didn’t need anything but he always offered if we needed anything to reach out. It was a tad small for us with 3 adults and an infant. My 1 year old loves to run around and it was a bit small for that purpose, obviously not the owners fault. It was clean and the beds were comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.
