About this cabin rental
Nestled in Pike County, this lovely cabin for $174 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. Our cabin is set up with a full kitchen and 1 full bath. It also includes satellite and one DVD player for movie entertainment. There is also a grill on the back porch for your enjoyment. There are 2 queen size beds and 1 king size beds. Living room include comfortable love seat and recliner. Hillside Hideaway is located 1/2 a mile from the Parker Creek swimming area. ***2 or more nights stay includes a free appetizer at Fisherman's Cove and 5 or more nights stay includes 1/2 off a dinner for two at Fisherman's Cove!

This is the 3rd year we have stayed here and it's still just as memorable and relaxing as the first time! Had a slight issue at arrival, due to cleaners not being honest to the property owners they hadn't cleaned like they were told to do prior to our arrival. The owners resolved everything, wayy over our expectations! If you're looking for a quiet, home-y, shaded area, not even a mile from parker Creek campground then this is the spot! The air isn't the best but it's better than none or outside heat! The bathroom fan thing doesn't work and no air in there so that can be a dread. However! If you're simple, care free, spend most time outside anyway, then you will love this place like we do!

Very nice cabin in the woods. Secluded, yet close to everything Murfreesboro has to offer. The property listing is very accurate, effortless check in/out, all communication answered quickly. Perfect for our week away.

The location was beautiful and the cabin appeared charming. However, the bathroom shower had what looked like foam tape between the shower wall and tub with some gaps showing about a 1 inch gap. There was 1 towel available in the bathroom (I booked for 3 people) and no potholders in the kitchen. The chairs on the porch need to be replaced due the material in the seats having only threads attached to the frame. The dining chairs were rickety. The first bedroom tv did not appear to be hooked up or didn’t work. When accidentally touching an electrical cord the lights flickered and the AC unit went off.

Roomy secluded cabin with fullsize amenities and appliances was a perfect location for our family to get away from city life. Minus 1 star due to no place for outside trash. Otherwise very nice accomodations.

We booked this property for 7 to spend Thanksgiving nearby. This cabin provided beautiful views, seclusion, and all the basic necessities. The owners quickly responded to any questions. I only wish they would provide instructions for check out as far as what to do with linens and trash. The wraparound porch provided the best views of the changing leaves. We can't wait to book again.

I REALLY LIKE BEING LESS THAN 1 MILE FROM THE WILDLIFE MANAGEMENT AREA. PERFECT CABIN FOR HUNTING OR FISHING AND A VERY QUIET PLACE. BOOKED 3 NIGHTS BUT ONLY STAYED 2 DUE TO HEATER WOULD NOT STAY LITE AND NIGHT TIME LOW WAS 29 DEGREES. COULD GET COLD QUICKLY SO HAD TO RELIGHT THE HEATER MANY TIMES TO STAY WARM. IF THE HEATER IS REPAIRED I WOULD LIKE TO COME BACK FOR ANOTHER HUNT

We really did enjoy our stay in the secluded woods while we were searching for diamonds at Crater of Diamonds State Park. The location was lovely and the accommodations were spacious. The property was clean. It was oddly cool (well cold!) when we were there and we had a little difficulty with the gas heaters in the rooms. There were electric heaters we just plugged in and were able to stay warm!

The location of the house is nice as well as the floors in the house and the funishings.
The kitchen and bathroom both need an overhaul, but did appear to be clean.
The house inside doesn't get much natural lighting and there were several light bulbs missing or not working both inside and out.
Looks like the roof was leaking some time back and was replaced, but non of the water damage was repaired. You can see rotted wood on the outside of the house that has been painted over and what appears to be mold on the ceiling in the back room.
If we go back to the area we will be finding a different place to stay, but if your looking for what I would consider a camp house then give it a try.

But once we got settled, the house warmed up nicely and was fine for the 7 of us...not sure where an 8th person would have slept as there wasn't any extra bedding for the couch. We were pleasantly surprised in the morning at the surroundings...no close neighbors and really in the woods. Kitchen was adequate, but there weren't any bowls (we made do with mugs). Plenty of fresh towels, and we appreciated the cleanliness of everything.

The bed in the room by itself is SUPER COMFORTABLE!!! This cabin was roomy enough for 5 kids and 3 adults. We loved the wrap around porch. It has your basic kitchen needs but not quite everything. Anything you forgot can be found in town at Dollar General though. Perfect location to the lake and Crater of Diamonds State Park which was the main purpose of our trip. This cabin was a surprising delightful big bonus to our little weekend birthday trip for our 8 year old with his cousins. Not hard to find at all. We will definitely be back!
