About this cottage rental

A pet-friendly seaside cottage with a real wow factor! Check In: 4pm | Check Out: 10am Driftwood is a charming and beautifully appointed seaside cottage. It enjoys a superb location in the heart of Rhosneigr village with cafes, restaurants, bars and shops on the doorstep and just 150 metres away are our golden sand beaches, renowned for excellent water sports conditions. The three-bedroom accommodation has been recently upgraded and enjoys a lovely bright and airy feel with open-plan living, stripped wood flooring and contemporary seaside decor. Driftwood enjoys many great features but one of our favourites is the elevated walk-out balcony where you can enjoy spectacular views across the bay. Mix up a sundowner cocktail and sit back to enjoy the view! Living, dining and cooking The second great feature is having two lounge areas. Perfect if you want to enjoy separate adult and children relax space. The main ground-floor open-plan, dining and kitchen area features a beautifully furnished and decorated lounge area with an oversized two-seater leather couch and armchair for putting your feet up and relaxing with friends after dinner, or with a good book during a rainy afternoon in front of the lovely wood-burner. The galley-style kitchen diner is fully equipped with everything you need to prepare meals for the whole family, a picnic to take to the beach or some popcorn for a movie evening! To the rear of the accommodation is a second carpeted lounge with a modular sofa which is ideal for kids to organise and chill out with their iPads or to watch TV together. From here you access the beautiful elevated decked terrace and those views! Sleeping arrangements The third best feature is that Driftwood benefits from a downstairs king-size bedroom which is ideal for grandparents or guests who have difficulty with stairs. On the ground floor there is a shower room with a washbasin and toilet situated in the utility area and a further guest toilet, so no need to head upstairs for anything. On the first floor, there is a further double with great sunset views and a twin bedroom. There is no bathroom on the first floor. Decked terraces To the front of the property, there is a pretty decked terrace area with table and seating and to the rear of the property, you enjoy the elevated decked terrace with views. The Nitty Gritty Driftwood has parking for two cars at the rear of the property and additional on-road parking nearby The property is pet-friendly, welcoming two well-behaved dogs There is oil central heating throughout You must bring your own beach towels There is a cot, highchair and stairgate available - We dont provide a travel cot mattress and cot linen. Great location close to the beach, restaurants and very well stocked shop. House was very comfortable with modern very well equipped kitchen, would have liked bigger bathroom and more outdoor space but overall it was excellent, we hope to go again.

We’ve been before and have booked for next year. Driftwood is ideal as a holiday house, with shops and cafes and beautiful beaches all within 5 minutes walk.

Driftwood is ideally situated less than 5 minutes walk from the beach, and in the centre of Rhosneigr. The property is very spacious for four people, the kitchen is well supplied with crockery, cutlery and other cooking utensils. The bedrooms all lacked storage space, two of the handles on the drawers in the bedroom downstairs were unattached rendering each drawer unusable, and there was no wardrobe space. The upstairs bedrooms had drawer storage (not much) but no hanging space. The two lounges were very comfortable and the log burner in one of the lounges would be cosy in winter. The kitchen window didn't seem to close properly and let in a lot of sound and a draught. We felt that whilst the property was clean on the whole, but the kitchen cupboards and cutlery drawers hadn't been cleaned properly. We wonder if these were missed as there is quite a lot of additional but unnecessary decoration/accessories throughout the property which would increase the amount of time spent cleaning. It does need de-cluttering as it's excessive. The property would have as much character without these additional items. Finally the document we were provided by the letting company on arrival did have some mistakes in, wi-fi password is incorrect, and the location of the thermostat is incorrect. This needs updating as it took me 10 minutes to find it (hidden behind one of the pot plants in the lounge, but the document states it's in the kitchen.). Overall we had a lovely stay but addressing the above points would have made it exceptional.

As a family of four with children ages 12 and 9, we had a fantastic stay at Driftwood. It is a large property with quite an unusual layout stretching from the front to the back of the property, so there is plenty of space inside and the two outdoor seating areas were very sheltered and provided a great option for sitting outside, as we had excellent weather all week. The house is well-equipped and comfortable; the children enjoyed having a bedroom each so that they had their own space, there was also a useful desk in the twin room which was really helpful, if you need to work. The sea views from the back deck and and the upstairs double bedroom were a bonus and we enjoyed some fabulous sunsets in the evenings. Just two minor negatives - there was very little storage space, particularly in the 2 double bedrooms, and a chest of drawers would have been really useful for our clothes. Also, it may be a little tricky to manage with just one small shower room, if there were six people sharing the property. However, I would highly recommend Driftwood as we had a wonderful stay, made by the fact that we were so close to the beach and could pop back in a few minutes if we had forgotten anything. Thank you

The third time staying at Driftwood, definitely a firm favourite now! The location is fantastic, shops, cafes and restaurants all within minutes and the beach 2 minutes down Beach Road. The house is really well equipped with everything you need. Gorgeous log burner which we definitely didn’t need this time but the decking on the back was a real sun trap! Can’t wait to come back, already booked for a short break in December. Highly recommended x

We have stayed in Rhosneigr many times, but never at Driftwood. The home was perfectly located in the village, close to the bars shops and the beach. Driftwood itself had a homely rustic feel and was very clean when we arrived. There was everything within the property that we needed, and the personal touches were very well received, and communication was great. When we come back to Rhosneigr, we will certainly want to stay here again.
