We stayed here for one week, and we couldn’t have been happier with it! We came for the Ironman, and it was perfect distance to walk to all of the festivities down town. It was so nice to be able to drink our coffee on the back patio every morning and watch the surfers. The kitchen had everything we needed to do groceries and cook for ourselves, and we even used the grill at the pool one night. This place was perfect!!

We loved the location of this property. It is very close to the water and has a great view of the sunset every night. It is an easy walk to shopping, art galleries and restaurants, as well as the meeting places for most of the tours we took.
There was a nice gift basket with fruit and coffee upon arrival.
The property was well stocked for cooking and with water activity equipment.
The property manager, Andrew, was easy to communicate with and provided good suggestions for restaurants.

Beautiful condo. Had everything we needed. Was exactly as described. Fantastic views. Perfect location for walks into town. Nice pool, grounds and parking. AC and all appliances in good working order. Owner and manager communication was excellent. We will look for this property again on our next visit to Kona. Mahalo nui loa Anneliese and Andrew!

This unit is really beautiful and has everything you need for your stay. We stayed a week. It has close proximity to so many wonderful restaurants and activities, all within walking distance. We loved eating our breakfast on the patio each morning and watching the surfers. Sunsets are amazing. The hosts were great at answering any of my questions. We will stay here again the next time we visit Kona!

Besides the perfect location and beautiful furnishings this condo had all the amenities and then some that anybody could ask for. From the washer / dryer, all the kitchen necessities and utensils, detergent, sun screen, great towels and anything you could ask for in the bathroom ... I could go on and on but I think I made my point. I have never stayed in a rental that was that well organized.
And to top it off Anneliese, knowing that we were coming in late the first night, had left us fruit and some other foods and drinks and other supplies which was not expected or necessary but was much appreciated and again showed her attention to make sure we had a wonderful stay. She also communicated with us from before we got there, throughout or stay and made sure we got on our way safely after our wonderful stay that we had wish had lasted longer.

If you want to spend your days directly in front the ocean, listening to the crashing surf while you fall asleep - then this is your home away from home. This unit is a spacious one bedroom, two bathroom (tub and stand up shower) ground floor condo that is close enough to Kona to walk into town for something to eat but far enough away to be quiet. The pool and deck are oceanfront and a wonderful place to relax between excursions. Cooking in the kitchen with the huge island is a great option to eating out. The private patio is a perfect spot to eat all your meals or just relax and watch the surfers. The patio faces west so there is a nightly sunset to enjoy. The host is warm and welcoming and always available to answer questions. You are greeted with a welcome basket full of island treats and a clean and comfortable home. Parking is easy and safe. Fans and air conditioning cool the living space and bedroom well if needed. A breeze always flows through with the windows and patio door open. The aloha spirit is alive and well here.

Upon checking we were surprised at how old and dingy the property was. The pictures were obviously taken many years earlier. The floors were filthy as evidenced by my white socks becoming black within five minutes. Upon opening the front door a very old and dirty smell was evident. Airing out the unit did help somewhat. The shower curtain in the second bathroom was filthy on the bottom and the baseboards had not been cleaned for some time. The furnishings, both inside and out, were dated and stained. In short, Barbara and I were very disappointed in the property.

This was a lovely place to stay during a recent trip to Hawaii with my 18 year old son. The lanai is a wonderful spot to sit and relax, and the condo itself is comfortable, conveniently located, and well stocked. We appreciated having snorkel gear, a cooler, and beach chairs and umbrella provided! Communications with the owner were easy. The condo is very near the pool, but there were never any noise issues (the overall vibe of the complex is pretty sedate). We enjoyed staying here!

We loved our stay at the Kona Reef! Great access to the downtown area. No need to rent a car unless you want to travel the big island. Anneliese is wonderful to work with and a great host! She is responsive and takes pride in her properties. This condo is perfectly situated right on the water. We loved sitting outside each morning and evening watching the surfers and the waves. The pool is great too with easy access from the condo. Highly recommended! We would stay here again on our next visit to the big island.

The location of this property was ideal for us. Located directly on the ocean in a very quiet area, it’s also just a quick direct walk to all the amenities downtown has to offer. Many days we just walked everywhere. I really recommend this place for the views. Every morning and night we were on the lanai for hours watching and listening to the waves. The condo was very comfortable with a/c, comfortable furniture and everything you’d need to have a great stay.

We've stayed in many Kona Reef condo's over the years, but Anneliese's home away-from-home is simply the best! Careful consideration & attention to every detail has been taken, so guests can immediately relax and enjoy beautiful A7. Literally steps to the ocean, pool and lawn. The lanai is perfect for your morning cup of Kona coffee watching for dolphins and whales or a front row seat to the conch shell sunset tribute. A quick walk to town for shopping, dining, kayak rentals or hopping aboard a tour boat. Until next time.... Mahalo and aloha, a hui hou.

It is not often that you get a rental unit that is exactly as described. This one is. It looks like the photos and the kitchen was supplied with most everything one needs to prepare meals. At booking I was concerned that its close proximity to the pool area would be too noisy, but that was not the case at all. (Keep the pool side shades drawn for privacy.) It is a ground floor unit, making it easy to go to pool or walk outside towards beach or town. Lots of little finches flew about, adding to the cheerfulness when sitting on the lanai. It is a short walk to Kailua Village. The owner was easy to work with and provided a very generous welcome basket for us. I would absolutely rent this condo again. One thing to note: the bed mattress is very high (I have a high mattress too but not as high as this one). If you have any mobility issues, climbing up onto the bed may require a foot stool.

Great corner first floor unit, light and airy, with a short walk right down to tide pools. The pool, spa and bar-b-que was conveniently next to us. Very close to restaurants and shops. When we come back, we will definitely stay here again!

I'd give this place 10 stars if I could!! Location was perfect, close to town and the views were amazing!! Waking up every day to the sound of the waves and drinking coffee on the lanai could not have been better. And the amenities were off the chart!! Everything we needed was right there. Also, the manager was so sweet and available. Even though we had issues with our flights, she was in constant communication letting us know our place was ready early. We will definitely try to get this one again in the future!!

This 1 bedroom unit was perfect for my husband and me. The lanai is west facing; beautiful morning shade w/ability to add more in the afternoon by dropping the sun screens. Everyday it is THE spot to sip your morning beverage and watch surf and surfers, tides, boats, sunsets, etc. We saw Spinner Dolphins our first morning. You are literally 10 steps to the pool gate. ( this was a plus as the pool area was never loud )Host has everything you need, extra towels, kitchen tools and appliances, laundry facilities, beach chairs. There is a small shaded beach on the south end of the property and two more just a few minutes down the road. If you wish to be in walking distance to Kona stay here.

This was our third time staying at this beautiful property and we already can’t wait to return. The condo is exactly as pictured with very comfortable beds (including a new pull out). Spectacular sunsets, surfer watching and even some spinner dolphins and turtles! A magical spot within an easy walk of Kona. Mahalo for the amazing accommodations!

One of the best vrbo experience I’ve had in 20 years. The property looks just like the pictures and the convenience of having your own kitchen and cooking a lot of your meals will save you tons of money not to mention a better healthy diet! Very quiet mostly elderly between 50 and 70 but everyone was friendly! Right in the middle of Kono town and close to shops, restaurants, bars etc.. The beach is small a -little rocky but go to KUa Bay 15 minutes . away!!! safe beach to swim and snorkel we saw sea turtles a little fish- you will not be disappointed -it is probably one of the most beautiful beaches we’ve ever experienced!! The manager was very organized but we had difficulty getting a garage pass from the Internet but we had no problem parking in the garage.
The lights in the bathroom are extremely bright and if they could somehow fix that would be more comfortable. We noticed some people pretending to be staying at the condo and they played a game of saying they forgot their key to get back in so don’t let anyone in the condo complex unless you know them!

The condo was just plain excellent. Perfect location, easy parking, wonderful condo, and could not ask for a better experience with the host! Honestly, we hated leaving. Anyone wanting to stay on the Big Island and looking for a place of this size should make this one their first choice for sure!

We had an incredible week in Kona and loved the location convenience of this condo. The owner/host is very responsive to text and emails and shared lots of great tips and answered all our questions. The condo is clean, well furnished, kitchen is stocked with everything you might need (minus food) and there are 2 bathrooms *bonus* The view cannot be beat and immediate access to water from the walk out lanai is the best!

My partner and I stayed here with our 8 year old. This home was filled with thoughtful touches (clothes drying rack, functioning beach umbrella), and was clean, open, and breezy. The proximity to the ocean and pool could not be beat, and we love the location. The host was super available and responsive and welcoming.

Absolutely Wonderful!
We could not have found a better place to stay. The condo was everything that we expected it to be. The sunsets were magnificent, and the it was relaxing to sit on the oceanfront patio every morning, drink our coffee and watch the ocean, the sunrise, and the surfers. The property manager was awesome! She was very communicative and checked with us to make sure everything was good. The gift basket and card left for us on our arrival was indicative of the hospitality we were shown. On our next visit to the big island, we will definitely book this one again! Mahalo!
