About this house rental
Our house is a cozy, tranquil, getaway with a picturesque view of Saratoga passage and Mount Baker. Your blood pressure will soon drop as you sit on the deck, listen to the waves and the sea birds, while taking in the water view! We also frequently see deer in the yard. Our place is very quiet with a Northwest woodsy feel. It is centrally located on Whidbey, providing an ideal base to explore all the island's activities and attractions. Whidbey is a big island with much to offer. Explore Deception Pass, Fort Casey, shop & dine in the quaint towns of Coupeville, Langley, visit the galleries, the farms, parks and numerous beaches all within minutes. Come back to your retreat and relax in comfort with nature. If you don't feel like getting in the car, the beach below is a five minute walk down the road. You can launch a kayak, paddleboard, or walk miles on this quiet beach. Or just stay inside, take in the view and watch premium channel TV on the 42' flat screen TV. It has begun as a vacation rental in August 2014. We have replaced old beds with a king bed in the master and a queen bed in the second bedroom. We hope you decide to stay at Blue Vista! We had the best time!our turkey was perfect and at the end of the game we were So Happy the Huskies won!!! The weather was perfect.The dog parks on the island are amazing- 'so are the stores-We hope to come back next thanksgiving. Robyn was the perfect hostess.

The view was amazing from the living room and the spacious deck. The house was comfortable and clean. We enjoyed going to Coupeville for dinner. We had a great four days and enthusiastically recommend this rental.

This is a great house with beautiful views. The location is close to downtown Coupeville and it’s many quaint stores and delicious places to eat. It’s a very relaxing place to sit back and decompress. The kitchen is well equipped for making meals. The beds were really comfortable. Our Corgi had a great time here too! Overall a terrific stay.

We loved this home with beautiful views, and that it was dog friendly too. Perfect for 3 adults with pets. The owners went out of their way to recommend places to visit and helped return some items that were left behind. We wished we could have stayed longer because we felt so at home with everything we needed for our stay. We highly recommend this place for your next visit to Whidbey Island. Thank You!

Lovely house on the water with great views. We enjoyed sitting out every evening on the deck. watching the sun go down. Great location too
I appreciated that there was laundry detergent and that it was free of perfumes. We will definitely come back.

The first thing and the last thing we noticed were the spectacular views from almost every corner of the property. The house was immaculate and well stocked with all the essentials. We are sorry we couldn't spend more time at this place, just hanging out.

Have stayed several times and thoroughly enjoyed every one. Incomparable location and view. Great care taken by hosts to make sure everything is there for an enjoyable stay. Can't wait to stay again.

We enjoyed a week at the cottage as our basecamp to explore from. And, the cabin had everything we needed at the beginning and end of the day - comfortable bed, easy kitchen to cook in, and a peaceful place to relax. The cabin was clean and everything worked just as it should. We had our duo of terriers with us and it worked out great - plenty of areas to walk around the lagoon, and practical floors to wipe off puppy prints when we got back.

Lovely home with lots of room, with a nice deck & chairs and great views. Plenty of towels, blankets, etc. Nice location with pretty drive into Coupeville.
Be aware that the Navy does touch-and-go landings at a nearby airfield, and the jets fly low and loud over this home. I'd be sure to check the training schedule, which is online.
Final comment: great house, terrific views; wish it was in a slightly different location.

We absolutely loved our stay here! The location is central and very convenient to Coupeville while also being very quiet and private.
The home was nicely decorated and clean, and the kitchen was spacious, beautiful, and well-stocked. We also liked that you can enjoy the sweeping views while cooking.
Short, peaceful walk to beach access. Recommend!

It has an amazing view with great amenities but it is right under the flight paths of the fighter jets as they do drills. This happened every minute for an hour on 2 nights and the sound is teeth jarring. It also happened another night for less time. If anyone has auditory sensitivities, you will want to leave immediately.

This property was so comfy and cozy, perfect for a winter weekend getaway. Communication and check-in was easy, the cottage was spacious and had everything we needed. The couch cover and extra water bowl for the dogs made them feel welcome as well. The location is idyllic, but the conveniences of Coupeville are nearby if you need anything. Also, our first night I didn’t plan well and we ended up easily being able to DoorDash from Oak Harbor, which was a bonus. Beach access is just a short walk down the road, and we enjoyed peeking at the animals on the craft farm on the way. The two eagles hanging out in the tree immediately off the deck were the icing on the cake! Am already making plans to come back in the summer!

We stayed for 2 weeks and I wish it could have been longer. The house is beautiful and the location couldn’t be better. I was taking weaving classes in coupeville so I was out all day and very happy to get back.
The first day we were there whidbey island had power outages due to storms, so we stayed under the covers. Robin called several times to check on us (we are in our 70’s) but we were fine. When I wasn’t in class we did quite a bit of hiking. The last day we were there we sat out in the sun on the large deck overlooking the Penn Cove.
The house is well maintained and had everything we needed, including a bottle of wine on our arrival. If we ever get back to whidbey island I’d stay there again in a heartbeat.

You can easily "make yourself at home" in this comfortable house with a great view and take nice walks from there or go to nearby impressive natural settings

We could sit on the deck and enjoy the peace. The home was extremely comfortable and had everything we needed. We especially appreciated that everything was on one level, as one of our party has difficulty with stairs.
There was an issue with the smoke detectors and we had to contact the manager. The problem was resolved quickly! There were also a few maintenance issues that did not interfere with our enjoyment of the home!

The house is located in a quiet neighborhood about three miles from the center of Coupeville. It's also in a great location to other areas of the island like Langley. It's one of the best houses with have ever rented on VRBO. It was very clean and comfortable, and had great amenities (e.g., kitchen, beds, towels, etc.). Robyn was in touch with us at the beginning of the rental period (and if needed, she would have been available if we had questions, etc., which we didn't), and check-in was a breeze. As many folks have commented on, the views from the deck (and from the living room windows) are just outstanding! As it was our first time in the Seattle area, we could not have picked a better place to experience all that the island offers. Just a word of caution, however, that folks should be aware that there is a Naval Air Station located just north of Oak Harbor. Tactical jets conduct practice runs over or near the house, which can be extremely loud. With that said, we still highly recommend this wonderful house!

This was a serene property for a nice, quiet weekend getaway. The kitchen was fully equipped, huge, and had a welcome bottle of wine in the fridge awaiting us on checkin. The bed was super comfortable and everything was also very accommodating for our pup. But the true showstopper was the breathtaking view from the porch - whether it was waking up and having a morning cup of coffee or winding down before bed to a beautiful sunset with views of Mt. Baker. Highly recommend this property.

This cozy cottage had an absolutely beautiful high bank view. The home is very nice and clean. The only downside is the lack of AC. It was quite warm while we were there (late July), and the one box fan provided was not enough to keep it cool during the day and for the first half of the night. My next rental had a small window unit, which was enough to keep the heat out. Outside of that, it was extremely convenient to Coupeville and a quick drive to the beaches. I'd definitely rent again if it weren't in the dead of summer -- really nice place.

Beautiful views and nature collied!
The property was in great condition and had everything we needed. Gorgeous water views and mountains. The owner was gracious to allow us to check-in early which was helpful since we came from a long way. We saw an Orca whale that surged out of the water twice and we could see the white underbelly of this magnificent creature. We also saw a bald eagle land on a branch of a tree near the rental home, its white head, yellow beak, and length and spread of its wings massive as it landed on the branch was an incredible sight to see! Although at the end of our stay, we felt rushed to leave the premises because the gardeners arrived early and a truck delivering gravel was waiting for us to pull out of the driveway.

This was our second stay, and we had a great time. The newly remodeled kitchen/dining area is lovely and just perfect for preparing meals. What fun we had riding our bikes all over the island. We'll be back!

Magical
We could have stayed outside on the deck during our entire stay. The views are extraordinary. The house has everything you need and is very bright and airy. I woke up to the most stunning sunrise I have ever seen. Everything you need is close in proximity. We took the short walk down the street to the beach and met lovely neighbors. Coupeville is charming and has multiple restaurants and adorable shops. Everyone is so welcoming. We hiked several locations. You must hike Ebey Landing. Gorgeous vistas and we saw 2 eagles. My only complaint is Whidbey Island is so far from Atlanta. I only hope to return there one day.

Great place in general, in quiet area. Great deck. Really fast WiFi. Fantastic view thru lots of windows, somewhat diminished by dirty windows [full disclosure, it had been raining a lot]. King bed very comfortable. Nice BBQ tools. Nice selection of kitchenware/utensils and dining-ware. Loved the fireplace (only heat source we used)

Fantastic Views and a Peaceful Place to Relax
This was a perfect location for a much needed getaway for me and my husband. What beautiful water views from the deck and almost every room in the house. Also, a splendid view of Mt Baker. While we live in Seattle and are accustomed to lovely views, life slows down when you arrive on Whidbey Island. We made many day trips to the State and County Parks on the Island and enjoyed several of the great restaurants as well. But to be truthful, we really just wanted to return to this home and spend quiet time looking at the views from our deck. We hope to return in the not to distant future and will be telling our friends about this lovely place.

View from porch is fabulous!
Very peaceful and wonderful being on the water! Also close to Coupeville with cute shops. We were here for a graduation. We’re from Florida and the weather was a little too cold for me! What a beautiful state!
