Everything about our stay was amazing! The listing is just as described in person and was also perfect for our furry friends. Location is amazing and far from the busier public beach. We hope to return soon!

No pool,no hot tub & no elevator, everything was down. A little ruff for a 60's yr old couple going up & down 43 steps.
Best veiw in Galveston (5 stars)

No heat, no hot water, no blankets and no host. One of the beds didn’t even have sheets and the kitchen lacks adequate cookware. This place is not fit for humans and should be removed from VRBO.

Overall, a decent place. Low water pressure and the air in the unit when we first arrived was stagnant but once we opened doors and turned up the air it was fine. Very minimal kitchen supplies. Dont bother trying to cook a decent meal or even a frozen pizza there's no pan for that

I loved being able to walk out on balcony, gaze across natural rattlesnake habitat, (well marked with signage), whenever I desired rain or shine, simply incredible! Many long walks on elevated walkway across “habitat” to beach, with Churchill (Pointe West Resort dog friendly) provided EPIC moments!

We loved our time BUT, NO ELEVATOR to the thrid level, constant rain (5 days), pet fur everywhere, dead batteries in the thermostat, no cooking utinsils, broken fixtures and almost no basic supplies normally associated with this time property.

Loved the beach view from valcony

Access to beach was nice. However house was too cold and unable to adjust AC. Balcony had no table or nice chairs like other units. Elevator under construction so lots of work carrying my senior parents things up four flights stairs.

Perfect condo outside of the noisy congested downtown area. Beautiful beach front, not packed at all. Had all the privacy in the world, pleasant staff, spacious condo. Only two cons, there was the overwhelming strong mold smell, the hvac ducts were moldy and damp so the mold smell filled the condo and we ended up leaving early because our sinuses and headaches were so bad. Sheets and towels were super saturated with the smell. Definitely know what cookware you need before showing up because it’s very sparse. Bring your own coffee as well and snacks etc. Had a broom to sweep floors but no other cleaning supplies so if you want to clean between meals bring your own. Other con was we couldn’t access pool the first night because we arrived right at 5 and the reception area was closed so I wasted $50 on bands I couldn’t use. I had called ahead and to no avail so that sort of took away the point of booking the unit because we like to swim in the evenings. Chatbot was as accommodating as you can expect but having prepaid for the bands I’d would have liked to have been able to get full use of them. Balcony was awesome just don’t sit in most of the chairs they’re rusted and most were rusted together and broken stacked in the corner. Condo was cool though so if you’re a hot sleeper the HVAC definitely keeps you more than comfortable. No food delivery, it’s a remote area but well worth the location. Would stay here in the mold would be remediated because the location is sublime!

The condo has a great location, parking spot under the building, and timely access. There was both a drip coffee maker (our preference) and a Keurig. The balcony is large with a great view of the gulf.
We throughly enjoyed our stay.
The two cons were:
- There are no baking dishes or pans in the unit, when I asked about it I got an AI response of they are not listed on the amenities 🤔🤔
- The balcony has a stack of rusted chairs, a broken chair, an old fan, and stuff crammed in a corner that takes away from the beauty of it.
Even with these 2 cons, I would rent again.

I was slightly disappointed by this property, but there was some really nice things too. So mixed feelings here. The property is far from anything else (which is good and bad). The grounds of the property are pretty, well kept, and the pool area is really nice. I was pleasantly suprised by that. Getting into the condo itself was interesting. Stairs are safer than taking the elevator. I thought it was going to break on our way up, it went extremely slow and jerked. It was concerning. Once in the condo, it had a funky smell. We are totally dog people, but there was a urine smell in the condo. Also, I sat on the couch in my black shirt and I found myself covered in white long dog hair. The kitchen was VERY minimally stocked. I went to cook cinnomon rolls and there wasn't a baking pan at all. That was disappointing. All the beds were comfortable, but there weren't any extra pillow cases for the pillows in the closet. So we had 1 pillow each. Just bare minimum. My teens went to go to the game room at 7pm and were turned away because it's only over 18 after 6pm. Again, super disappointing since you can't check-in until 4pm amd game room is unacceptable shortly after that. The biggest positives are the pool and the grounds. Pretty on the outside and great location as far as being able to walk out to the beach. This property looked good from a far, but did not meet my expectations.

The property and area was an excellent experience. Beach is very clean and no cars allowed! Very quiet home and easy to speak to property management

This house is beautiful and on the water. We loved having an ocean view and being far from town where it was quiet and peaceful. That being said, during our stay we received two notices that the water would be shut off and to fill our bathtubs with water so we could fill the toilet to flush. In total, the water was off for two days from about 8am to 2pm both days, making it hard to do any morning activities (running, ocean swimming, working out) because we weren't able to shower.
The guest bathroom shower did not get very warm, leaving all of us to take turns using the shower in the master suite. There were no beach towels at the house and the kitchen was oddly equipped (three coffee pots but no baking pan and very few drinking glasses).
Lastly, the second pool and the bar were not open the week we were there, and despite having paid for amenities bracelets from th Beach Club some of the amenities (ping pong, pool table) still required payment to use, so the fee was really only for the main pool I guess.
Overall being by the water was a treat but not having a water for a few days really changed how we structured our week, and prevented a few morning runs and workouts.
We contacted Vacasa about this for a possible partial refund and after three phone calls and never being called back I finally found out the request was declined, which was disappointing.

We rented a condo on this property about two years ago and were happy to stay here again. Unfortunately, there were some disappointing aspects of this condo/listing. For anyone who is potentially not familiar with Galveston- know that this property is quite far from the active part of the island. If you’re planning to spend time at the Pleasure Pier or on the strand just know you’ll have a bit of a drive. The pros are that the property is further down, so traffic isn’t as much of a thing and people aren’t typically venturing that far down to hit a beach. Nice and quiet. However, this building is right against the beach club. So you can definitely hear their music even later at night. As far as the condo itself- it is spacious enough for the four of us that stayed. The ocean view is spectacular. The parking is so simple and I do like that despite the size of the property you’re not far from your vehicles. Cons- there weren’t enough pillows. The water in the showers never even approached hot. (Which was really noticed when we were coming in during weather in the very low 50s.) there was no baking sheet in the kitchen. The doors (both) to the patio were very difficult to open and close because of the rusty hardware and damaged wood on the door frames. The chairs on the patio were very rusty. The nightstand to the right of the master bed couldn’t plug in anywhere. The left nightstand could but wasn’t when we arrived. Multiple lamps were either unplugged or had burnt out bulbs. Arrival was a pain because I couldn’t find any communication with a property map in my emails or texts. Arriving at night was very difficult because registration was closed and we couldn’t see building numbers well. We also received an invoice from the property for a $15/person wristband fee prior to arrival. The listing stated that during off-peak time there is no charge, and during peak season it is $12. Both were inaccurate according to the registration desk.

Although this condo served its purpose for us, it needs some tlc. I’m not one to pick apart rentals because we once owned a beach house so I understand how quickly things can go bad due to the salt air. However having a rental, things should be kept up. The main shower is still corroded. The french doors leading to the balcony need to be replaced. You can not close the door properly without having to lock it to keep it shut. The blinds have been destroyed by previous rentals with dogs. I’d recommend replacing the doors with the blinds built in the glass. Very minimal kitchen items. And the ones that were there felt dirty. My parents did not get a good nights sleep in the room with 2 twins due to the lighting coming in at night. A good nights sleep is a must!! Especially on vacay. Previous reviews recommended getting a window covering(and the 360 view of the condo actually showed a black covering). But that is not there. I’d also recommend, if you advertise as a dog friendly condo that you put in a pull down shower head to be able to wash the sand off your dogs. There also should be a welcome book of some sort with the wifi password, restaurants, things to see, etc. ALOT of light switches around condo. Maybe label what they belong to?? With all that being said, I won’t rent from Vacasa again. The turn around time to get a question answered is a full day. I’d rather be dealing with someone more responsive and attentive than a huge company where I’m just a number. And they don’t actually know the rental. We love Pointe West but I won’t be back to this condo. It’s a shame too. It has a lot of potential.

Overall the house was great! The pictures matched the posting and the amenities listed were available. The only thumbs down was the checkout time-10 AM is too early when you’re trying to get five people (3 were teenaged girls) out of the house.

Excellent staff, great condo, incredible view, awesome pool, clean and open beach with no cars or bad behavior, great food and drinks. Can't wait to visit here again.

It’s a beautiful condo. However I strongly suggest that these things b corrected: 1. Fix faucet in master bath shower.
2. Have cleaning co do a deep cleaning of toilets. 3. Replace flush in guest bath room. 4. Replace outside lite bulb in veranda. Did not work. Everything else was great.

This property is broken down, dirty and disheveled. It does NOT look like the pictures and I know for a fact they don’t listen to reviews because we mentioned similar items when we stayed in this unit a couple of years ago and when we walked in I was disappointed to see that not only did they not fix ANYTHING it had gotten worse. Do not stay here. There are other rental units that are similar in price that are very clean and have the same view, access, etc.

The condo itself was great but it was really dirty. The floors were disgusting, they weren’t cleaned at all, the coffee table was real dusty and full of sand. Everything was dirty except beds and kitchen which were the most important. The bathroom showers were moldy and gross BUT Vacasa did try to make it right and offered for someone to come by and clean it but I had already cleaned it myself. The beds were comfy and the view was great. Could use a few more kitchen items. If they could do a VERY DEEP cleaning it would be great for the next guest.

This condo has a great view and is close to the beach and beach club. It was clean but for the price I thought the balcony would have been cleaner and the condo updated a bit more. Bathroom fixtures were rusted and silverfish in shower. Overall comfortable.

Galveston is a beautiful area and we absolutely loved it but the stay at the property was mediocre.
Sheets on all the beds were poor quality; they were rough and stunk of bleach. There were no real blankets on the beds, just a thin layer cover like in a hotel. In no way did the beds feel homey or welcoming.
In the master bedroom, the only window was glued shut and was not able to be opened. The nightstands and lights all seem impossible to figure In the master bathroom, there was a broken light, a drawer missing a pull knob, the shower fixtures were old and corroded and just felt unclean. Overall the shower had an old, dirty feeling. When the property was cleaned last the Mrs. Myers hand soap was filled with with blue dish soap so we purchased our own.
In the second bedroom, the beds were hard and uninviting. The sheets were as previously mentioned. The TV was old and difficult to operate.
In the living room, couch was uncomfortable and material was all pilled. You sank when you sat and it just felt old. The pillows on the couch were cute until you touched them and they were also scratchy and just cheap feeling. Windows in the living room were also impossible to open. One window wouldn’t stay up when you finally got it open and we couldn’t get the others open at all.
Also in the living room, the TV would not connect to the internet so no apps like Netflix or Amazon were available. You could watch the Xfinity cable and that was it which was unfortunate.
There was a washer and dryer which we were excited for but it too was old and had a smell to it so we didn’t use it.
The house is also rented through VACASA and not an actual property owner. I think this is to the property’s detriment. In other places we’ve stayed there’s always been a welcome book or something that explained basic things like internet, heat/ac, property rules and little idiosyncrasies of the property and that was not the case here. It took three days to figure out the internet password was in the information on the VACASA app which you HAD to get; it took almost two days to figure out how to adjust the heat and that it wasn’t an actual thermostat somewhere but a white box plugged into the wall near the couch. Many of the outlets in the house didn’t work and a few had tape over them which is just uncomfortable feeling.
Overall, we’d love to visit Galveston another time but if I did, I wouldn’t stay at this property again.
