Our family of 5 was looking for a spot to stay for a couple nights to break up a longer car trip to Canada. This apartment was just what we needed...a simple, clean place to rest our heads and not break the bank. Bob and Vic were responsive during the booking process. The location was perfect for our needs. We enjoyed the mini-golf and ice cream nearby and had just a short drive to Kittery to do the ropes course there. Lots of fun in a unique little spot!

Arrival was easy and we had access to the property before check-in time, which accommodated us, very good first contact with Bob who welcome us. There was no washer or dryer as mentioned in the ad. There were dozens of large ants throughout the apartment and the sleep was difficult as the rooms are on the side of a busy road. We were prepared to accept this given the low cost of the rental. We had booked for 5 people despite the fact that there were 6 of us (2 adults and 4 children), since my youngest sleeps with my partner and me at night, as we always do in hotels or while using other hosting platforms. on the evening of our second night out of three, one of the owners aggressively called us out on his frustration. In his eyes, we had lied about the rental and : "was not happy about it". We never had a chance to explain and find a solution. He simply vented his rage on us and left. It was the second time that day, that his behavior was questionable, he made some comments about the fact that my kids where loud the evening before (after 6 hours of driving...) and that some customer at his shop complain about it... despite the fact that we didn't see a lot of customer on the rainy day. We didn't feel safe for the rest of the evening not knowing what he was capable of. We offered via the VRBO application to leave in exchange for a refund of our last night's stay, which he refused. We still left the next morning, as our own safety was the priority at that time.

Lots of room and very centrally located to restaurants in Wells and Ogunquit, along with easy access to beaches, grocery stores, and everything else on the seacoast. Really enjoyed our stay, the hosts are laid back but quick to respond to our questions. We will definitely stay here again!

Perfect place for a 2 night stay for a wedding at the marsh golf club. 7 minute drive to venue

We love staying at "big yellow house"! Close to family, the ocean, restaurants and the pups love the solitude.

I stayed here for about a month with my fiancé and dog and we had the best time! The apartment is spacious, clean and has had some updates since the listing photos (new couches, paint, tvs, etc) so it was cozier than we expected. It also has a fully functional kitchen. The location is close to so many beautiful beaches, shops, and great restaurants. Vic and Bob are the nicest guys and our experience staying here made our trip so much better than we expected. They are both so accommodating and went above and beyond to help us out a number of times. Our dog also loved it, especially playing with their dogs, Lenny and Friday. The apartment above Wheels N Waves, the shop itself, and hanging out with Bob, Vic, Friday and Lenny will always be great memories for us. We can’t wait to come back!

Very laid back hosts were friendly and welcoming. The apartment was quite roomy and had everything we needed. It was really nice to have our dog along too. Thanks for a nice place to stay in Wells.

This property was clean and perfect for our stay. My mom, my friend and I stayed here. The daybed was very comfortable and the place for us well. Vic and Bob were super helpful and hospitable!

We loved our stay at the apartment. We have stayed several times and it is always clean, comfortable and cozy. Full of clean blankets, pillows, towels, beds are comfy, fully stocked kitchen. Vic and Bob are so nice, super friendly and just awesome. We even brought our dog!

Husband and I rented this place for a car-free beach vacation. It worked out great, good location easy biking distance to the beach, groceries, restaurants and nearby towns. Very convenient to have bike and beach rentals downstairs. Recommend!

We were really pleased with the apartment above “Waves and Wheels” ! It had a well equipped kitchen that we unexpectedly used to cook a delicious salmon meal for 4 of us! We’re surfers so the surf movies and magazines were appreciated! The best part was having accessibility to bikes and boards if we so desired to explore Wells and Ogunquit which we did! Overall we really appreciated Vic and his staff!

This was a very nice place to stay they allowed my .dog it was centrally located. It was very cozy and comfortable The beds were so comfortable The shower had wonderful water pressure I would definitely stay again if I'm ever in the area.

We wanted to take our dog on vaca with us. This place worked great for that! Owners were super easy to work with - very responsive. Beds were very comfortable with nicer linens (provided) than I have at home! Apartment was over business but we never heard any noise from the business. Apartment is in an old house so had beautiful wide plank floors and places where the old fireplaces were. Couldn't open some windows/no screens so the main living areas got a little warm but theere was AC in bedrooms.

I read the reviews for this location and the reviews looked good the pictures look nothing like what we saw when we got there we were supposed to stay five nights we stayed the first night and I could not imagine staying anymore but when I woke up in the morning there was Mouse poop in my dog's dish that was it for me I went downstairs and talked to Vic he said he would refund me for the nights that I did not stay he stated that no one's ever had this issue which I find hard to believe I have never stayed in a place like this in my life. I find it hard to believe these reviews on here are real and if so where did these people live I have pictures to prove it now he is stating he will not refund my money because he did not see any evidence of mouse turds so I will be going to the Better Business Bureau. I really hope people read this review and steer clear of such a dump it in such disrepair. To think that someone would rob you that own a business it's just unbelievable what they think they can get away with. Vic and Bob are very shady ...stay away!
