Situated in Pawleys Island, this attractive house for $287 per night is a great option for your next break. Sandy Flat, a beach home on Pawleys Island, South Carolina, is a great place to stay for a relaxing vacation. Sandy Flat sleeps 8 people with one bedroom (queen bed) downstairs, 2 bedrooms upstairs (queen bed in one and double and twin in the other). Children love the upstairs loft with its twin and trundle beds. Baths with shower and tub on each floor. Outside enclosed shower has hot water. Deck has beautiful clear view of Pawleys Creek. The ocean can be seen and heard from the upstairs bedrooms. Wifi and 3 television sets are included. Normally rentals on Pawleys Island have an additional fee for sheets and towels. Therefore many people prefer to bring their own sheets and towels. Talk with me about this I as can furnish them. Parking is available for a maximum of three cars. (Please stay on the paved drive.) THE PET FEE OF $100 IS FOR ONE DOG. EACH ADDITIONAL DOG IS $50. Since I can’t get the VRBO software to compute this (even with the help of their technicians), if you bring more than one dog, we will need to address the payment separately. I do not accept cats. I prefer to speak with you before before you book! However, as a safety measure, vrbo blocks our email and telephone numbers until payment had been made. After we speak, if either of us decides that Sandy Flat is not a “good fit,” you will get a full refund. Nancy

We absolutely loved our stay at Sandy Flat! Location is superb, with sunsets over the marsh on one side and a short 3 minute walk to the ocean on the other. Nancy was a delight to work with and we couldn't be happier with how everything went. We will be back!

This house is the perfect beach bungalow. While it is not fancy, it had everything we needed with a nice homey feel. It was a very short and easy walk to the beach (close enough to hear the waves from the screened in back porch). We really enjoyed the marsh view from the front deck as well. The owner, Nancy, was great to work with too! We would totally stay there again.

Everyone had plenty of space and we thoroughly enjoyed reconnecting with our family in this wonderful house! Beach toys that were provided and a swing under the house kept my kids occupied and entertained. The beach was a minute or two walk and it was beautiful. Perfect weather! Pawleys Island was the perfect distance from Surfside and Myrtle Beach as well as Georgetown. Lots of geo-caches. And we all loved the LowCountry Zoo at Brookgreen Gardens! Anyone who stays here will leave happy just like we did!

My husband, daughter, and in-laws, and Jack Russell, Auggie, had the best time staying at Sandy Flat! Nancy has a wonderful home and provided everything we needed. Could not ask for a better location; we loved walking to the beach without having to pack the car & drive there. Great week of shell hunting, sitting on the porch, shopping, & eating at local restaurants. We bought bird seed and enjoyed watching the birds as well. Nancy has beautiful art throughout the house, too, & is very talented. Cannot wait to stay again in 2024!

Perfect setting for sisters getting away. We also created beautiful wedding bouquets. Neighbors very friendly. Beach is just a quick skip to the beach. Beautiful marsh views. We'll be back! Very comfortable and stocked kitchen. Thank you Nancy, fell in love with the place.

Loved our stay at Sandy Flats...if you like old school Pawley's Island, you will love this house. Unmatched creek views and 3 minute walk to the beach with easy access. Nancy is a wonderful host and very communicative...also a brilliant artist with her works throughout the house. We had everything we needed and had a relaxed stay. As the saying goes, it is arrogantly shabby which in my book is a great thing. Well stocked and comfortable. Will be back.

Quaint A frame house, just steps away from the beach, Sandy Flat is well stocked for guests. Beautiful deck overlooking the marsh, we enjoyed listening to the birds and watching fishermen. Kitchen is small, but with so many great restaurants nearby, who wants to cook? Owner is an artist and many original works decorate the house. Lovely home in a great location.

Great location. Lots of room for multiple people. We had 4 adults and 3 kids and there were still 2 beds empty. The owner is very responsive. Everything is close to the unit. Plenty of deck space to enjoy the outdoors too. Would stay again.

For the price, you really can't ask for much more. The property was clean and we found everything in working order. The property owner was very gracious and helpful when we couldn't figure out how to open the key box. The mattresses could stand to be replaced, but again, for the price we paid, you can't expect luxury. Would definitely recommend this property for anyone looking to spend a relaxing time enjoying the beach and family.

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was quite comfortable and really close to the beach. Would definitely stay there again. There is plenty of room for 6 or more. We were only two and our dog and it was a great place to stay.

Quaint home of a very talented artist. Her artwork decorates this cozy cottage like beach house. You will feel comfortable and welcomed. The home provides everything we could ask for. Easy 1 minute walk and you're on the beach. We had beautiful golden hour sunset views. The home over looks the sound and is perfect for bird watching. The beds were so comfortable. The fishing was great at high tide from the bridge and the southern point of the island. We stayed thanksgiving week and slayed the Whiting and Black Drum at high tide at the southern point. A few small flounder and sea trout from the north causeway bridge. We didn't try the northern side of the island. I would definitely recommend for family vacation. The beach was dog friendly. The fishing was awesome.

Home was comfortable for 4 adults. We enjoyed the deck overlooking the sound. The chairs and rockers made a comfortable place to enjoy most anytime of day. Outside was a bit messy because of hurricane but owner did all she could to have it cleaned and ready. Nancy was great to deal with.

Sandy Flat is an older Pawleys home, but outfitted with all the basics you need for a comfortable stay. Location is creek front (road runs between house and creek) with unobstructed creek views from the deck which provides fantastic sunset views. The house is about 100 yards to the beach through a public access point. The walk to the beach is on a straight line from the back yard. The owner is a watercolor artist and has much of her work on display in the home. Pawleys is well known and loved for its “arrogantly shabby” reputation and Sandy Flat fits that description well. This is not the house for those who want fancy or luxurious accommodations. If you are looking for views, functionality and great beach access, this home is a winner.

So many good things about this house ... proximity to beach, and ease of getting to it, sunset views of the marsh and intracoastal from the front deck, so many beautiful birds, comfy beds, and I could go on. My first stay at Sandy Flat was a family trip; this one was three "mature" girlfriends. This house was perfect for both trips. The manager could not be more responsive, or easier to work with.

We had a fun Memorial weekend at Sandy Flat. This is the second time staying here, but it’s been two years since we stayed here before and there seemed to be some fresh paint and updates. We love the location and how close it is to the beach, yet looks out on the marsh. This house sleeps 10, but is much more comfortable with just a single family, as the kitchen is small and it only has two bathrooms. We will definitely keep coming back to this place when it’s just our family going or if it’s another couple going with us without our adult kids.

We enjoyed our stay at Sandy Flat! The property is a short walk to the beach and has an awesome view of the marsh and creek. The kitchen has everything you need for meal prep. We loved the screened porch on the back side of the house and being able to open the windows and doors for cross ventilation.

Such an enjoyable time we had. We were reminded that it's the simple things in life that bring so much pleasure. ...sitting out front in the morning enjoying the breeze and the birds, and later in the evening watching the sunset. Also, so pleasant on the back porch ... hearing the ocean and the chirping of birds, and once again feeling the breezes. Glad for the pathway to the beach. Went there very early one morning to watch the sunrise. So many beautiful pics of the sun, ocean, and waves. Nancy is an attentive host and easy to get in touch with. Also, appreciated little things such as remote fans and lights, as well as motion sensing lights up outside stairway. Pawleys Island, Georgetown, Murrels Inlet, etc., have a variety of interesting places to shop and dine. Thank you, Nancy for making Sandy Flat available.

We really enjoyed this family friendly spot on Pawleys Island. Such an easy walk to the beach, enough room to keep our young family happy, and the beach provision/accessories were so helpful. One tip, if it is going to be chilly at all during your stay, bring an extra blanket along, as I got cold in the thin, summer covers. It was pleasant having helpful, friendly communication with Nancy, and overall we think we’d like to come back again!

We had an incredible time staying on Pawleys Island in this wonderful house. The views of the salt marsh are so lovely especially at sunrise and sunset. The house is so close to the beach and our dog enjoyed great walks on the beaches of the Island. The accommodations are perfectly appointed from fully stocked kitchen and bathrooms and bedrooms - and the beautiful artwork created by Nancy adorns the walls. I'm so grateful to Nancy for sharing her delightful property with us. While there, we booked another trip for the Autumn. Many thanks, Nancy!!! We can't wait to return!
