The Blue Dolphin was an amazing house to stay in. Beautiful views and great back yard. The Island itself was a fun place to stay as well. The one complaint was the electricity on the island went out daily and since we were there on one of the hottest weeks of the year, at times it was uncomfortable in the house.

We had a great time at the Blue Dolphin. The house was island chic, and in a great in town waterfront location. The beach club at Teejays made our beach time easy and enjoyable. The bar at Teejays was great, with drinks complete with enough Rum to easily encourage an afternoon nap. Huge shout out to Blaire, whose always on via WhatsApp concierge service meant that no request was more than 10 minutes away from being addressed.

Overall, we couldn't have hoped for more. Water issues were resolved promptly, sadly had no internet our last day, and ran out of toilet paper. But we loved being in a home with a yard, hammock, kitchen, and plenty of rooms/beds for all, in a GREAT location. LOVED the sunset view, and access to so much.

Blue Dolphin was as described and was a great casual place to getaway on Harbour Island. Blaire our concierge was wonderful picking me up at the ferry dock, getting me situated with a golf cart and being a wealth of knowledge. The house is traditional and nothing fancy but clean, spacious and fun with plenty of room, awesome view, and a great backyard. Proximity to resorts and beach are good but we enjoyed being close to the locals market, coffee stand and bars and found everyone welcoming. I would definitely come back to this beautiful island and would be happy to stay at Blue Dolphin again.

We loved our stay at the Blue Dolphin! We were 3 families that rented 2 suites and 2 rooms. We enjoyed having family meals out on the patio and cocktails on the upstairs deck. The house suited our needs perfectly. The upstairs master is stunning!!

Fabulous location in the heart of the island. Great eating at either high-end or mom and pop. Very walkable to everything. And it you want to explore, rent a golf cart and have a ball. Very walkable to the beautiful beaches. Also explore the resorts and bars. Very welcoming even if you are not a guest at that location. Hosts were easy to reach and communicate. Hope others enjoy it as much as we did.

We stayed at the Blue Dolphin to attend a family wedding in Harbour Island. Our property manager, Blaire, was outstanding. She greeted us upon arrival, helped us with our golf cart rental, promptly responded to questions, helped us to arrange dining reservations, accommodated our early check in/late check out requests, and so much more. Our home was cleaned once during our stay as prearranged as well. The location was incredible, just 3 blocks from the main dock. We enjoyed coffee on the front patio each morning, the backyard gardens in the afternoon, and sunsets each evening. Highly recommend!

This historic property is ideally located and had plenty of room for our group. Our boat was a short ride away at Valentine's. The caretakers were very helpful, and the owner is responsive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

This is our second stay at Blue Dolphin. The property location is fantastic. Instructions from owner are always very thorough. Yvette and Wesley were very timely in communications. Easy access to bone fishing without a guide. Highly recommend.

Our past week in Harbor Island staying at The Blue Dolphin will go down as one of our families most memorable vacations. The house itself is great - nothing fancy, but has everything you need. From an early morning cup of coffee on the private back patio that looks over the beautiful backyard garden listening to the AMAZING birdsong, to sipping cocktails on the upper porch looking out over the bay at spectacular sunsets, it is truly a little bit of paradise in this crazy world. The beach is about a ten-minute walk, or even shorter golf cart ride, and having the chairs and umbrellas reserved for us was a huge plus. We found the location of the house to be really great, too...right in town within easy walking distance of stores and restaurants, and of course right on the bay. But the absolute best thing about renting the Blue Dolphin is its owners. From the second we made the reservation Kathy was in touch with her detailed 'Tips' sheet and willingness to answer any and all questions we had for her. She always responded quickly, too, which we really appreciated. During our stay we had a bit of a personal issue we needed help with, and Kathy and Jamie could not have been more helpful and understanding. It is clear they love their home, and they want the people who rent it to love it, too. Well, our family definitely does and we will be back, next time with grandchildren in tow! Many thanks for everything! ~ Peggy O.
P.S. The reverse osmosis system throughout the house is an enormous plus, too- so great not to have to buy drinking water and deal with all the plastic! Wifi also worked really well - even with nine of us.

Our family had a great stay at the Blue Dolphin in July 2021. The air conditioning was great as was the property manager, Wesley. Kathy was very good at communicating with our group and made the planning easy. The upstairs Master Suite is wonderful and very comfortable. The only issue we had (not with the Blue Dolphin) was loud music from nearby bars on the Bayfront side. However, we used a sound machine which helped. Additionally, during our stay, The Bahamas instituted a COVID curfew which made all music stop at 10:00 pm so we slept fantastic on those nights.
We had 8 people and stayed in the main house, queen side bedroom and upstairs master. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful visit to Harbour Island and the Blue Dolphin House! The house was very traditional for the island and as a long time visitor, the location is perfect! We could walk to everything but very close to a convenience store and takeaway restaurants. The views across the bay were amazing. I love the upstairs sun deck. We had 7 total people and the house is great as you can configure the different areas of the house to what you want and need. Everyone who cared for the home was so accommodating. Any issues - they are right there. The house manager was incredibly responsive and helped with whatever was needed. I grew up visiting this island since I was 4 years old and got to see Herman who cares for the yard...I remember him from when I was a little girl. Such a treat! Blue Dolphin is such a gem and did not break the bank like many of the locations on the Island these days. We had fishing trips that came right to our dock to pick us up and plenty of space throughout the house. It is a very special place. Many thanks to the owners for their advice and help as well. We had a great visit!

Although the Coronavirus pandemic and travel restrictions reduced the number of our family members able to attend, we all had a great place to stay. Felt good about being able to social distance and avoid going out amongst the lovely Brilanders to reduce any risk. We hope to have a ‘recreation’ of the event in the coming years with all attending!

The Blue Dolphin house is a wonderful place to stay. It is in a perfect location with easy access to restaurants, shops, and the beaches. The staff was absolutely wonderful. Yvette, Herman, and Thomas were extremely helpful during our stay. The views overlooking the bay are absolutely incredible. We really enjoyed the deck upstairs during the early morning and late afternoon. The fire pit in the backyard was also perfect for barbecuing and grilling.
If you like to bonefish, the house is conveniently located near a flat for bonefishing. You can drive your golf cart to the north end of Bay Street and walk out on the flat to bonefish. If you like to bonefish, the house is conveniently located near a flat for bonefishing. You can drive your golf cart to the north end of the street and walk out on the flat to bonefish. This eliminates the need for renting a boat just to bonefish.
Overall, we had a wonderful experience. We hope to be back at the Blue Dolphin soon.

We arrived at the dock by water taxi, on the morn of July 16, to find it was only a short walk to the Blue Dolphin. We could've taken a taxi or a golf cart to our weekend hideout, but we decided to taste the local flavor by hoofing it 3 very short blocks. Don't ya love bags w/wheels? We came off the dock, turned left, (north), and in 5mins we were home. VERY COOL. The staff had the A/C dialed in, and the Dolphin was spacious. We flopped down on the bed, w/smiles on our faces. After a min or so, we unpacked, & got to the business of getting to know "da eye-land". That's always the fun part. Rented a golf cart & cruised around for cpl of hrs. You CANNOT get lost on Harbour Island. "Wax on, Wax off". The bay is west, the ocean east. I cannot say enough about Blue Dolphin sunsets. INCREDULOUS!!! Island food a blk or two away. Ck out Brian's, for some GREAT home cooked food, in a "locals" atmosphere. We had one major glitch in the Blue Dolphin Matrix. NOT ENOUGH TIME!!!😎. Ck it out. If u like local flavor, you'll love it. If u like snooty and presumptuous, go to a resort that separates u from da eye-land cultcha. For a good groove, the Blue Dolphin fits very well. Peace

We stayed at the Blue Dolphin this past Thanksgiving holiday week.
We won our stay at the Blue Dolphin at a fundraising event.
The house setting is serene and sublime. It is centrally located.
It is at a walking distance from the pier, and 10 minuted walk to the beautiful pink sandy beach. It faces the west allowing us to enjoy gorgeous sun sets everyday of our stay.
At night the neighborhood comes to life. We had a chance to wittness a couple of rehersal for the Junkanoo parade, joining them in dancing. The house is surrounded by grocery stores, Arthur-the best breakfast and bakery in town, several craft stores and restaurants.
As for the house itself, well we fell in love with it. It is charming, welcoming, can easily accomodate 15 people, yet you can have your own privacy as there are 5 seperate master-bedrooms. We enjoyed having breakfast on the back porch overlooking the secluded, well maintained, attractive backyard. We enjoyed relaxing on the hammock, under the palm tree, sitting around the fire pit surrounded by a tropical lush greenery. The owners, Kathy and Jamie made sure that we are welcomed and well served. The house came with a wonderful house keeper, a friendly gardner/fisherman (who could supply you fish if interested), and a talented cook, who happened to own a restaurant nearby that served Bahamian food.
As for the native people, they are extremely welcoming, friendly and happy to serve you- except for "grouchy Mr. Jonhson" from the golf cart rental shop. Do not worry, there are several other cart rental stores. Yes, most people travel using golf cart.
We enjoyed everday of our stay. We went hicking along the southern shore, deep sea fishing, walked everyday the sandy beach. It was also the most relaxing, beautiful vacation ever. It is a piece of Heaven on earth.
The day of our departure, a feeling of sadness took our hearts as we were not ready to go back to reality. We wished if we could stay longer. But deep inside we knew that we shall return. The Blue Dolpin is a MUST.

There just are not enough good things to say about this lovely home on Harbour Island. The Blue Dolphin is a gracious, warm home with every amenity to make your time there relaxing and comfortable. We were a group of close friends who have traveled together for many years and all agreed it was the best vacation ever. With this beautiful home as your base, explore what may be the friendliest island in the Caribbean. Zip around in your golf cart to exquisite pink sand beaches, the charming town, restaurants and beautiful tropical surroundings. The home is designed to accommodate a large group but, there is room for privacy as well. The owners, Jamie and Kathy go out of their way to ensure your stay in their home is memorable including a talented (and fun!) cook, and a sweet woman who tidies up and gathers hibiscus blooms daily for the home and your hair!
In the past, we have always vacationed in Hawaii, but from now on it will be the Blue Dolphin.

My husband and I agreed a few years ago that we never wanted to go back to the Caribbean, that Costa Rica was far preferable, that the Caribbean was never as nice or as relaxing as we expected, and so forth. Then my tennis group decided to spend a week on Harbor Island (or, as the denizens call it, Briland) at the Blue Dolphin. I went reluctantly, only agreeing to go because it's a fun group to travel with. The Blue Dolphin is located just a stone's throw from the water taxi dock - we walked there in five minutes when we landed. We were a group of 12 tennis friends, all comfortably ensconced at the Blue Dolphin for the week. Plenty of room for everybody, and multiple areas where a large group can gather to cook, eat, have a cocktail, play games, or even dance. You can watch the sunset from one of the many decks or from the front patio. From there you can walk into Dunmore Town. You're five minutes by golf cart from the world's most beautiful, relaxing beach, or from five-star gourmet restaurants, a charming local coffee house, tennis courts, pools, docks, art galleries, grocery stores… you name it. The people who live on Harbor Island are so welcoming and friendly and helpful and warm. Want to run a tab at the grocery store? And you're staying at the Blue Dolphin? No problem. The owners are well known to the full-time residents of the island, so you get help and instant credibility wherever you go. While we were there, a Junkanoo parade (look it up!) passed by one evening, so we ran outside to dance down the street with the drummers and dancers. We were there for a week and I truly *hated* to leave the place. I actually came home and told my husband that he'd love Harbor Island, and that it's the only place in the Caribbean I'd ever return to visit. I want to go back!

my family recently stayed at The Blue Dolphin and loved it! It was perfect for our large extended family of 10. Great views of the harbor and sun sets and close to the beach were a plus! Gorgeous views daily and very relaxing!!!!

This house is amazing and has to be one of the best places to stay on Harbour Island. It suited my party perfectly, as we had 5 adult couples travelling for a wedding, and the Blue Dolphin offers 5 separate bedrooms and bathrooms, plus a huge gathering area on the main patio, many smaller decks, and adequate indoor space. We loved that the house was centrally located and we could easily walk to the main dock, restaurants and stores, the beach and the pool. The Blue Dolphin was home to many happy memories for us. It would also work for families with children as there are a few rooms with either bunk beds or a trundle bed.

Loved the island, loved the house. The location is perfect as it is right in the village on the bay, has it's own dock, walk to shopping, 3 minute golf cart ride to the beautiful pink sand beach (THAT BEACH! What a beach!) and they've arranged for umbrellas and lounge chairs to be available at the beach. They employee a cook for evening meals and she was not only a great cook but fun to talk to. She is flexible and can make just about anything: grouper, conch stew, crab and rice, chicken, pork chops. All was delicious and our kids are still commenting on how much better Princess cooks than their mother or their father. The daily helper that cleaned was patient when we were in her way and left lovely flowers from the garden everywhere. I’m a garden dabbler so loved the fresh flowers and wandering your garden throughout the day. We enjoyed hanging out in the front and watching the traffic go by in the evenings and tossing the football in the backyard in the mornings. And seriously, this really is a friendly island - everyone had a wave for us and all were kind and helpful. We reserved the main house which includes 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and is air conditioned. And you can expand your party and stay in the upstairs or in a separate side suite. Very flexible. I highly recommend this property.

Thank you so much to everyone for allowing us to share the Blue Dolphin for our wedding! The landscaping is such a beautiful back drop!! This is such a wonderful and convenient house to have the ceremony. The girls got ready in the beautiful room upstairs and we used the stairs outside as our walkway. The terrace is so pretty with vines and flowers wrapping it as a gift. This will definately be our anniversary location!!! Highly recommended house on the island for all occasions! Thanks again!!
