Cute Guest House In Winter Park Minutes From Downtown in Car
About this apartment rental
Enjoy our guest house and the new space we created in Oct 2015! The guest house has a kitchenette with two glass burners, refrigerator, coffee maker, toaster, convection microwave, AC wall unit, TV w/ HD antenna for over a dozen local channels (we've cut the cord, but the TV is a smart TV with Netflicks, HBO Go, Amazon Prime Video), wifi (50Mbps), utensils, plates / mugs. The guest house has a queen size CASPER bed (check it out online), great for couples or single travelers. Max we can take are 2 guests in this studio to fit comfortably. You will have a separate private entrance to the guest house on the site of the main home. The guest house sits in our back yard of the main home. You'll also have free parking in front of the main home during your stay. THE NEIGHBORHOOD Winter Park has a variety of things to see and do, we love the neighborhood because of that. Tons of incredible eateries, also great shopping, and the famous park avenue is just a short DRIVE AWAY. Also you can easily jump on I-4 to take you all around the city and hit the world famous attractions, Outlet malls or I-Drive area. HOUSE RULES are: - No smoking inside the guest home, outside only - Only registered renters are allowed in the studio, please no overnight guests. - Parking is free, please park on our side of the street, not across the street. - Lock the front door when leaving, simply press the Schlage Button and remember to turn off the AC wall unit. - Please wash dishes before checkout. - Renters will need to have a fully verified profile to book this guest house through the homeaway's verification system. - The studio is on a septic tank, please only flush down toilet paper down the toilet. No Femine products, wipes, paper towels or condoms in the toilet. These items block the septic system and if you back up the system you will forfeit your security deposit. - If you see any issues during your stay please bring it to our attention right away so we can address it during your stay and handle accordingly. - No question is a silly question please always feel free to ask anything :) GETTING AROUND We recommend you rent a car to maximize your limited time here in Winter Park / Orlando. We provide free parking in front of the home on our side of the street. The home is located near the following areas by car: 1 minute from Killarney Lake 3 minutes from I-4 (main highway in the city) 5 minutes to Winter Park/Park Ave & Rollins College 8 minutes to Maitland 10 minutes to Altamonte Springs 12 minutes from Downtown Orlando / Amyway Arena / Church st / Lake Eola / Citrus Bowl / MEGABUS bus stop 15 minutes to Millenia Mall & 1st Prime Outlet Mall 19 minutes to Universal Studios/Island of Adventures / Halloween Horror Nights / Mardi Gras / Harry Potter / Transformer 21 minutes to Orlando Convention Center 24 minutes to Seaworld / Aquatica 26 minutes to 2nd Prime Outlet Mall 30 minutes to Orlando International Airport 33 minutes to Epcot / Downtown Disney 34 minutes to Animal Kingdom/Magic Kingdom 1 hr to Port Canaveral (cruise port) / Coco Beach 1 hr to New Smyrna Beach 1 hr 15 minutes to Kennedy Space Center 1.5 hours to Clearwater Beach 1 hr 45mins to St. Augustine As you can see we highly recommend a car with your visit to see what the city offers. You can park on the street in front of the house and yes parking is FREE! If you will not have a car during your stay you can use UBER as your taxi, for first time users we can give you a free credits, simply download the app (iOS, Android & Windows) and enter in promo code "SFJYP" Or you can use LYFT, for first time users download the app and use promo code "javier424" for free credits. Also Super Shuttle is a great and easy way to reach the home if you're flying in without a car. Or if you're taking the bus into the city check out MEGABUS.

My wife and I had another restful and peaceful stay in this Winter Park apartment, close to family, restaurants and shopping. Thumbs up!

Perfect location for Winter Park
If you want to be close to Winter Park - and within relatively easy walking distance - then this is a perfect location - and the area felt quite safe - the residence is quaint but somewhat smaller than expected from the pictures - all amenities match its description - only minor criticism is quality of the bathtub/shower - it was a bit disappointing and not in keeping with the quality of the rest of the rooms and appointments of the residence. If we were to return to this part of greater Orlando we would consider this property.

The apartment is convenient to Winter Park and all of the restaurants that are there offered. There is also great shopping nearby; REI, Winter Park Village, a variety of cute shops in old-town Winter Park. We'll be back!

This was the best rental experience. Such a welcome and well equipped apartment. I was alone but an additional person would not have been crowded. It is very quiet and private. Owner communication is awesome. Highly recommended

Repeatedly come back to this property. Convenient safe location. Only little complaint is tv service but I am not a tv fan.

It works well and I do remote work. It would be nice if there was room for a chair to relax. The tv service is pretty bad and very slow. Nice neighborhood. Place is clean and enjoyable.

Lots of "fees", for the price, not impressed. Quality was lacking. Shower was poorly designed, really hot, could not regulate the water temp. (which was fine but if you're going to have this as a guest house, I would recommend fixing it.) AC was really loud, they don't want you to run it all day, so it's hot when you return. The bathroom had small ants on the floor and had a sewer musty smell. Overall the owners had good communication, it was a safe place, and parking was accessible. We're not high maintenance, just expected it to be a bit more quaint compared to the listing.

This was the perfect place for two! We were in the area for our daughter's graduation. We didn't need a big place and we enjoy being able to fix food. We had issues when we got there regarding our reservation, but this was quickly cleared up. Muriel and Javier we very attentive to our needs.

The positive - it was clean. The negatice - the “guest house” is not charming.
While this property was clean and the little kitchen well stocked those were the only redeeming qualities. The first set of sheets were synthetic and uncomfortable. The next set, although cotton were old and beat up. We gor only 2 towels. The airconditioner is very loud. The shower disn’t work well and rhe spigot in the tub shower lifted off the wall. Mystified as to how they can charge so much for such a depressing place. The reviews did not match our experience.

Clean, private, convenient location everything as advertised
We stayed at this guest house for 4 nights, it was very clean, private, quiet and in a convenient location and quiet neighborhood. The bed was very comfortable and the studio is as pictured. There is plenty of space for two and a nice bathroom with a good assortment of toiletries provided. The location is very convenient especially to the areas north of Orlando. There are many excellent restaurants nearby. Although we were not there to visit the theme parks it is a very easy drive to them also. Javier and Muriel were very quick to return our call to answer a question and we would definitely recommend booking this property. It is an excellent value for this area. We would stay here again. Cute guest house
Great location near downtown Winter Park. The owners checked in after the first night to make sure all was well. They quickly fixed a minor issue with the tv. The space is a studio apartment with a queen bed, full bath, and kitchen with microwave, refrigerator, and 2 burners. Coffee and sugar was provided. Air conditioning is a wall unit. A little noisy but not unbearable. May want to request that air be turned on an hour or so prior to arrival as it took a while to cool upon arrival. Overall, a cute guest house.

Elegant Lodging

Winter Park Art Festival Weekend Accommodations
We enjoyed this lovely backyard guest house in a quite and very safe Winter Park neighborhood that is close to Park Avenue and near restaurants and shopping. We were in the room only to sleep and shower, but enjoyed the ambiance and the very comfortable Casper bed. The owners were in communication via email before and during the stay and had water and sweets in the room when we arrived. If you are looking for a quite and cozy place to stay this one is for you.

Perfect Spot!
This is the perfect spot to access all Winter Park has to offer. It is clean, cozy and comfortable. Our hosts were welcoming and attentive. We will definitely be back for another stay.

Good location, nice people
The property was great, the perfect size and location. It was clean and ready for us on arrival. The owners made suggestions on activities in the area during our stay, and refunded us without question when we asked to leave one day early. However, after we left we received an email regarding potential damage to the entrance blinds. The approach and subsequent correspondence with the property owners was unprofessional and petty. The overall stay was a good experience minus this final aspect.

Great functional space clean and comfortable
Enjoyed my stay for a few days. Owners went above and beyond to put little "touches" inside such as folded towels, info pockets etc. very clean. The AC and vent fan make great white noise. The oven/microwave combo was great to have.
