About this house rental
Located in Seaside, this attractive house for $764 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. 1 KING, 1 QUEEN, 2 BUNKS Reminiscent of the pastel-colored Florida beach cottages of the 1940s, 'Cabana Fever' is located three houses down from 30-A, a half-minute walk to the beach pavilion or the West side pool, and sits directly across from the Truman House (and even played a 'bit-part' in that movie). It was the first cottage on Natchez Street and is one of the few one-story cottages in Seaside. This three-bedroom, two and a half bath cottage is furnished with vintage rattan and 1940’s club-chair seating as well as comfortable contemporary pieces. Many charming items were found at estate sales and antique shops. Painstakingly selected artwork ranges from whimsical paint-by-number nautical pieces to pop art to antique. Collectibles include vintage aquarium figures. The ocean colors of aqua and blues were intensified throughout. You`ll find the master bedroom with king sized bed with private bath where the tub and shower are separate. Also a guest queen bedroom and a third bedroom with two twin bunks in this original, stylish cottage. The hall bath is shared by both bedrooms with access from the hall and also from the guest bedroom. The outside deck has a grill and plenty of seating for a quiet evening. There is also an enclosed outdoor shower by the back door to rinse those sandy feet. Cabana Fever also has a guest cottage that sleeps two called Cabana Babe, VRBO# 572269. Perfect for stays when you need the extra room for extended family!! This house was perfect for our family. We have two children ages 4 and 7 and they both walked easily to the pool, the beach, and to shops and restaurants from the house. The home itself was incredibly clean and comfortable. Cabana Fever is like its own little art gallery with paintings and unique decor. We will most likely reserve this home again when we return to Seaside. We couldn’t have asked for a better place. There is a guest house, Cabana Babe, that is a separate rental if you are needing more space than the 3 bedrooms. We will keep that in mind if we need additional space in the future.

We loved this house! The creative, quirky decor was fun and it had everything we needed. A sweet reading place on the screen porch, great table for meals and games, clean bathrooms (great master shower), kitchen had all the tools we needed. Very comfy beds. We would have appreciated more/improved lighting in the main room as it was a bit dark with all the lights on in the evening. The bunk room was a bit tight for teenagers. No real storage space if you had 4 sleepers there. We had a family for 4 this time, though, and it was perfect. It was just a few minutes from the front door to the beach chairs. A quick bike ride to the food trucks but far enough from the square and 30A to still be quiet. Pool a 2 minute bike ride or easy walk. Perfect location. We left wanting to come back!

This house was such a pleasure to stay in. You can tell the owners have taken so much care and time decorating. Such a fun eclectic house! Everything was wonderful and comfortable. Location was perfect. Our only complaint was that we were given the wrong access code to the beach. We called and left a message with the property manager and never received a call back. We finally had to get the code from another vacationer who had the same issue. Overall, it was a wonderful place and we would stay there again.

This house was such a pleasure to stay in. You can tell the owners have taken so much care and time decorating. Such a fun eclectic house! Everything was wonderful and comfortable. Location was perfect. Our only complaint was that we were given the wrong access code to the beach. We called and left a message with the property manager and never received a call back. We finally had to get the code from another vacationer who had the same issue. Overall, it was a wonderful place and we would stay there again.

Had a very pleasant stay homeowners collection was very attentive. We had one minor issue where the dryer was not working the entire time and nobody came to fix it but it really wasn’t a big deal we just air dried everything.We will definitely be back in using them again!

Cabana Fever is a perfectly designed beach house located adjacent to the beach access.
The screened porch is a primary gathering spot where laughter and conversation can be heard and shared with all who pass by. We had up to ten people and all had a wonderful time.
But Cabin Fever has a few age and wear issues:
Floors were downright dirty upon arrival. Floor under bed in the master had about one-half inch thick layer of lent which had to be cleaned by us due to allergies.
Many fence boards fall off with the slightest touch, especially near garbage cans.
North side wooden walkway is rotten and treacherous at night.
Gas leak on south side near hot water heater vent.
Electrical socket in mater bedroom gives off sparks while overhead light flashes on and off.
Coffee pot for serving a crowd is missing. We had to buy a coffee pot for our crew.
Floor boards on porch have shrunk with age creating space for mosquitos and gnats to enter. We corrected the situation by spraying insecticide nightly under the porch.
Furniture is showing age and wear.
Ventilation is uneven. Master bedroom freezes at night while other rooms steam.
However, Cabin Fever is designed to be a gathering place with emphasis on fun. It's the perfect beach house but is needing some TLC.

We love this house. It is an old school beach house with lots of fun things inside to look at. The bathrooms have been updated also. It is in a great location. Close to beach and the pool.
