With a superb location in the exclusive Lake Pointe Community, this enchanting home presents you with a wonderful assortment of activities to pursue. Walk to the Wisp Resort for all-season excitement or stroll down to your exemplary lakefront and immerse yourself in the cool waters of beautiful Deep Creek Lake. Engage in an invigorating game of tennis or slip into you bubbling outdoor hot tub for total stress-relief. Westwind is a true mountain treasure. ACCESS DETAILS: Approximately .2 miles to Wisp Lodge Ticket Window with access to all slopes. Distance includes walk out of community, across Marsh Hill Road and through Wisp parking area. Slope availability does vary throughout the season. Visit Wisp Resort's website for slope conditions. Lake Access is located at the common access point in the northeast corner of the development. This is located across from our property Rapture. All other areas in the Lake Pointe Community are prohibited. COMMUNITY/AREA DETAILS: Located in the Lake Pointe Community at Deep Creek Lake. Location is great and we were able to walk to the ski lodge. The house was large, clean and able to accommodate all of us. The check in and check out process were easy. Make sure to bring hand soap, dish soap and a sponge as they don’t provide it.

My friends and I had a lovely time at this home! The only thing I would suggest is some major updates to the showers. A new pool table, and looking into putting more TVs in the home. Also we couldn’t get into the hot tub because the plants had overgrown and covered it. Overall my group had a great time!!!

The property is in a prime location for most activities in Deep Creek. Some minor maintenance issues with the property, but overall a good place to stay.

The coffee pot was broken when we went to make coffee in the morning, they did bring a new maker fairly quickly. There was a giant leak/hole in the ceiling in one of the bathrooms. The TV was blurry, DVD player did not work, etc. Overall nice, just a seemed like whenever you went to do anything there was a little something wrong with it that threw a wrench in what you wanted to do.

The location and size of this house for our group were ideal. It was close to Wisp and the community had lake access. Unfortunately the house had some maintenance issues that were not resolved during our trip. Both of the bath tubs upstairs leaked into the main level. We called maintenance twice but they weren’t able to do anything to fix them because the repairs would have been extensive. In one of the bedrooms downstairs the two lamps over the twin beds were held up by rope?!!

The location of this house is excellent. Close proximity to the lake and right across the street from wisp resort. The house looks like it hasn’t been updated since the 90’s. The porches are great, but in need of serious repair. Some general maintenance would go a long way- bushes are overgrown and need trimmed. Light bulbs need replaced. There is a leak in the main level bathroom ceiling. The pool table is falling apart. The house sleeps up to 11 but there’s only seating for 6 people max in the main living area. The seating also is not very comfortable. Outdoor patio furniture is almost non-existent and what’s there is falling apart. The house needs a serious cleaning as there was a lot of dust and cobwebs. The kitchen cabinets were greasy. Many of the blinds were broken or non functional, which was unfortunate withe the beautiful views all around. The main window in the front of the house must have had a broken seal as it was filled with moisture and you could barely see through it. This could be a really nice house with the space, size, and location, however, it needs some serious work.

Great location, oldish house
The house is spacious and in a great location. The neighborhood is quiet and well kept. Everything was listed accurately and the pictures in the listing were up to date. The gas grill is a great addition. However, the decor is old, there needs to be substantial maintenance repairs made (none are show stoppers or overtly noticeable) and the pool table is borderline unusable.
Things to note, bring a cutting board, the one in the kitchen is big enough to cut a lemon and that is it. The dryer barely dries so be prepared to hang dry or bring a drying rack. The internet is frustratingly slow and not very secure (WEPS & WPA instead of WPA2 or WPA3) so keep that in mind in case you have to do remote work. We brought a Roku stick for the children to stream and it would freeze if another device was surfing the internet, like an iPad. The TV's in the rooms are very small if you are the person that likes to watch something on the bed. Luckily, we don't stay inside much so none of these were deal breakers. Stay here if you need space close to a lot of activities, if you tend to be a home body, there are other properties that will likely be more inline with your needs.

A beautiful house close to the lake and a short drive to the supermarket and restaurants. I had lots of questions since this was m first time renting a place, everyone I spoke to on the phone was pleasant and eager to help!

The house as clean, spacious and comfortable. We were very pleased. I had a little trouble with the online check in. My access codes didn’t work. Otherwise it was so easy, all information about the house was sent in advance and again just before check in. The house was really nice.

There is a water problem with this house. Water stains on the ceiling. Washing machine leaks on the main level to the basement bedroom with the two twin beds. The toilet doesn’t flush properly downstairs in the basement. There’s a hole in the bathtub on the third level, which leaks to the main level. We had to call the maintenance after hours number because the washer was leaking through to the basement bedrooms. The basement area smells damp, the maintenance crew had to bring out a dehumidifier and could not fix the washer they had to order a part. So we couldn’t wash our clothes for the remainder of the vacation. This house really needs some work, the water issues that it has has been going on for sometime, none of these issues are new. Our family and friends made the best of what the situation was but we were very disappointed in how much money we paid for the house because of the condition of the house. If I had an option to rent this house again I would not rent it.

If I had to critique one thing is that the kitchen was a little sparse on kitchen supplies and no seasonings including salt and pepper where there on arrival. Other than that small detail it was a fantastic stay
