About this house rental
Nestled in Woodstock, this lovely house for $1,124 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. Our pool is now closed until mid-May, 2024. (NOTE: Unlike other Hosts, we DO NOT charge you an extra fee to heat our pool). An amazing retreat in the woods, situated on 7 beautiful acres, but still only just 5 min from downtown Woodstock. (. Surrounded by mature trees and gently flowing stream, you will breathe deeply and relax. GREAT for kids: in addition to the heated pool -- open in season -- we have ping-pong, a basketball net, a doll's house with furniture!) You enter this stunning house and view its contemporary, modern style surrounded by windows, high ceilings and magnificent bluestone fireplace. The home is warm, inviting and thoughtfully furnished. It has 3BR, 3 baths, a fully stocked kitchen, fireplace, in-ground heated pool and hot tub, overlooking the stream! The home is divided into two sections to allow for maximum privacy while still being able to socialize together. The North wing has a sun-drenched 2nd floor bedroom with a brand new queen bed and luxury mattress. There is a cozy living room + den and fully stocked kitchen with large farm table to gather around with friends. Adjacent is an additional seating area, bathed in sunlight from a row of windows, with a new couch that easily unfolds into a queen size bed. In the South wing is a stunning space with 30' high ceilings contains a second seating/gathering area + a library. There is a mini ping pong table and sound system for added fun. In this wing, there is an upstairs Master Bedroom and another guest bedroom downstairs. The master bedroom has a new king bed, luxury mattress and an en suite bath with a jetted tub. The downstairs guest bedroom has two twin beds which can be combined to be a queen size. There is a full bathroom off of this room. It features a private entrance leading to the pool, hot tub and garden. You will never want to leave!

This is a great find. The home and property are beautiful. Was there during very cold days of winter and the hot tub worked like a charm- house was very warm too. There are house rules made known after you commit to your stay. The house rules overall are quite reasonable - especially since the house is in such great shape. But perhaps those rules should be shared with the customer before to avoid unnecessary anxiety. I would recommend renting this house without any hesitation. The location to the town - the distance from other neighbors and the quality of the property all…. A plus! Thanks

Home was beautiful. Had a great Woodstock vibe and location was phenomenal. Host went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and well informed. Could not have asked for a better accommodation to come back home for a visit.

This property is a little slice of paradise where the only sounds you'll hear are from the rushing stream out back. The pictures and description are true to the property and the house is very comfortable. The kitchen and pantry are well stocked, instructions for how to use the house are plentiful, and Bill provided great communication. We enjoyed stargazing in the hot tub with no ambient light interfering and watching deer, birds and rabbits while enjoying our morning coffee. The house is conveniently located to Woodstock, Saugerties and Kingston and a quick ride from many major highways, making for easy day trips or quick rides to fantastic restaurants.

We had a wonderful time on this stunning property. So much wildlife to watch and scenery to look at. My son and husband loved the hot tub. And my puppies loved the big yard to run in. Having the fence in the back made me feel better letting them run and play. The layout of the house was perfect for us. The location is so close to town that last minute dinner plans were a cinch. Thank you Bill for a perfect stay.

Property was as expected. Rustic yet serviceable in a great location.
However, check-in process and owner provided rental agreement came very late in the process with some marginal expectations. Owner was willing to work through any objections which ultimately led to a good stay for our group.

We have stayed in several homes in Woodstock. Nothing comes close to this house. The setting is beautiful. The house is spacious and very comfortable. The hot tub, pool and deck were in constant use when we were not off on an adventure. The owner was not only gracious and accomodating, but was fun to deal with! I hope he let's us come back!

We loved the house and the location was perfect. Bill was more than helpful for any questions that we had. Woodstock is a beautiful town and the house is 5 minutes away. The fenced in yard was great for our two pups! And the house was spacious for our family of 6!

So peaceful and so close to town. We loved our stay. The kids woke up to deer walking by the first morning, they played basketball, and ping pong. We woke up, had coffee by the stream and then relaxed in the hot tub. The home has everything you need for a relaxing stay and all instructions are clear. This home is so close into Woodstock, we had dinner at Goodnight, bought the best meat to grill at Woodstock Meats and stopped by our favorite home goods store Beck. We would love to come back when it’s pool season. Bill was also very responsive.

We loved staying at this property. It is a unique property inside and out with everything well thought out. The two sides of the house and the secret passageways made it extra exciting for the kids (12 & 14). Sitting at the big table looking out the windows was very relaxing every morning. The instructions are very detailed and helpful. We also enjoyed the deer visiting each day (as did our dog). We hope to come back again - it was a perfect location for what we enjoy doing in the area.

We loved our stay at this property - a classic "Woodstock" house with character and charm. For our family of 4, we all had our own space! Great piece of property and close proximity to town and restaurants. Kitchen was well stocked for all cooking and baking needs.

This home was just what we needed for our family. The location is ideal. Very private property with wonderful views of the nature-filled wooded backyard. Just a quick drive into Woodstock’s Tinker St. Kitchen was well stocked and bedding was very nice. My sons loved watching the deer out the giant windows.

We played Trivial Pursuit to hours of laughter. Morning coffee was met with deer walking the property. The brook was a beautiful backdrop to bagels and cream cheese.
The afternoons were filled with swimming in the pool and looking for restaurants for dinner. We turned our mini vacation into a foodie few days.
Silvia the first night. American flair that was so good. You will not be disappointed. A bit pricy but worth the experience. Next night Cucina an Italian restaurant that was just wonderful. We sat on the porch with a slight breeze and twinkle lights. The food was fantastic. Please order the burrata salad you won't be disappointed.
Our last night was a delightful experience at Good Night, an Asian infused menu with fantastic drinks and our server Phoebe was just terrific.
All and all I would say I can't wait to go back.

Bill's house is spacious, spotlessly clean, with big windows/a lot of natural sunlight, and in a gorgeous remote location with a literal babbling brook nearby. Sitting in the hot tub with snow on the ground was an amazing experience that I highly recommend.
Bill is extremely responsive, took care to provide long lists of local recommendations, and is diligent in maintaining the cleanliness of his house. Although it may initially seem like he has a lot of house rules, this is something that I very much appreciate in a host, as it makes me feel all the more confident that I'm staying in a truly clean and well maintained environment.

The location might have been enough (completely private and immersed in nature but 7 minutes from town) but the house itself was perfect for our needs. The pool deck with audible stream nearby was a highlight. As were all the deer. Would definitely stay here again.

(It makes all the difference!)The home is lovely- wood beams everywhere and a big open dining/living area. The hot tub and ping pong table were a bit hit, and the huge property and stream in the back give endless opportunities for play. We biked to Woodstock center a few times, which is less than 2 miles away- the restaurants and shops there can’t be beat!We recommend this home wholeheartedly, and are already looking for an excuse to come back.

We enjoyed our stay at Fern Hollow. The location is perfect. We explored the property, the nearby town and went on local (about 15 to 30 minutes away) hikes in the snow to beautiful waterfalls. It was so beautiful to hear the sound of the stream that runs along side of the house. The house is quaint, picturesque, charming... We enjoyed all the amenities such as the fireplace and the hot tub. We cooked several wonderful meals in the well equipped kitchen. The owner was very pleasant. He was great at making clear his expectations which were easy to follow. He responded to our questions promptly. We had a really nice time in this home in a winter wonderland. The house was well kept up and there was even a ping pong table for the kids. The hot tub was great after skiing. The owner was super responsive.
