Nestled in Norris Lake, this charming cabin for $953 per night is a great choice for your next break. Enjoy your own "Slice of Heaven". This massive, 4,500 square foot, 3 floor lakeside home offers knotty pine cathedral ceilings, huge kitchens and formal dining rooms overlooking large TV rooms, providing the ultimate entertainment for an extra large group of friends and family. The 2 kitchens provide 2 sets of appliances sure to please the camp chefs. The extra large two level island bar is equally suited for entertaining as it is for whipping up huge meals for the hungry group. There is large outdoor propane grill with basic utensils and free propane. With 8 bedrooms, 5 full bathrooms, and sofa sleepers, this spectacular home is designed for large groups. Couples will appreciate the 6 king/queen beds featuring pillow top mattresses. For those with mobility limitations, there are 2 bedrooms on the main level (see bedroom details). 3 TV rooms ensure everyone gets to watch their Dish Network, movie, or ball game in surround sound. The game room features a pool table/ping pong and shuffle board. **Prior to submitting questions, you must read entire note section below. ** Free high speed, secure WiFi via Comcast cable service. Saving the best for last- Four decks overlook the lake. Relax in the hot tub while viewing the lake. The hot tub water is changed prior to your arrival. Enjoy stories by the campfire. Stroll off the back deck to your own personal double deck dock with slide and jump gate. The dock has two covered slips measuring 10' x 24' and room for 2 more boats on the outside. No boat? No worries! Simply call NorrisLakeWaterSports (ask for '10% Bertke discount') or OasisNorrisLake. Both deliver right to your dock. Nearby Sugar Hollow marina, Shanghai marina, Springs Dock offer daily/weekly boat rentals. The boat ramp is inside our neighborhood approximately 1/3 mile away. There is parking for approximately 5 vehicles directly in front of the home. Trailers and extra vehicles are parked in the designated trailer parking area inside our neighborhood. This neighborhood has a small, free, community pool with kiddie pool 1/3 mile from the cabin up a very steep street. . It is clean but nothing fancy. There are no life guards or concessions. You don't need a pass. Free parking is available Notes: *** The contact information including name, phone number, and email address must belong to the primary 'Guest' - the sole person responsible for booking this home. We do not accept multiple persons or nicknames. *** The primary guest must be a minimum 28 years of age to book this home. We had a great time in Slice of Heaven on Lake Norris! The place is big enough that we all had family time and privacy. The lake is fun and the dock looks very new. We spent most of the time in and around the dock. It is noted in the description that you have 99 stairs from top to lake so be aware but there are 4 levels to rest in between. The only time we needed help (chirping fire alarm), someone was out within the hour to fix so very quick response time.
Only reason for 4 stars is the place could use a spruce. Doors sticking, lumpy beds, kitchen could use a good scrub.
Overall I’d recommend this for large groups that love water sports!

Very cleanly with rapid response from property manager on all questions. I would have loved to have basics provided for when we first checked in such as condiments, extra toilet paper, dishwasher tablets, and such. However, listing does state it to bring your own. I unfortunately did not pay attention to this fact. The only thing I was disappointed with was the number of towels provided. There were approximately 36 towels. However, the towels were small which required the use of 2 any time a shower or bath was taken. Therefore, 1-2 loads of towels had to be washed for our group of 22 people. Outside of that, this was a much needed trip with plenty of room to spread out or be together!!!!

My Family needed a lot of room and this place has it . Hot tub was enjoyed by all and very nice . It was not up to my cleaning requirements but it was late in the season . Windows , blinds , and carpet needed some TLC . Had a great time overall .

A great place for a family gathering! Plenty of room for everyone to dine / play games around the kitchen table, and the multiple levels maintain a certain level of privacy, as well. The house is very close to the Jumping Bridge, Sugar Hollow Marina, and not far from a grocery store.

Plenty of room for our family gathering over Easter weekend. We had 3 generations gathered from 4 different states, worked out great! Would definitely rent this property again.

We rented this cabin so that multiple families from all different states (IN, OH, TN, GA & FL) could all get away and celebrate Christmas together. There was plenty of room to spread out and get away when you wanted to and the kitchen and tables were the perfect size to serve the large group. We had a couple issues with toilets & dishwasher and the light bulb by the hot tub was out but I sent a message to the owner and all were fixed in a couple hours!!! Owner is very nice to work with!! We would stay there again.

We rented this cabin so that multiple families from all different states (IN, OH, TN, GA & FL) could all get away and celebrate Christmas together. There was plenty of room to spread out and get away when you wanted to and the kitchen and tables were the perfect size to serve the large group. We had a couple issues with toilets & dishwasher and the light bulb by the hot tub was out but I sent a message to the owner and all were fixed in a couple hours!!! Owner is very nice to work with!! We would stay there again.

It was huge, clean, well set up, a beautiful home. There was plenty of room for everyone in our party and the second kitchen was really a bonus. The only thing I would suggest is putting TVs in the masters. We had a wonderful time!

This place was nice, it was just so used over the entire summer that it seemed quite rough. Beds, not comfortable, dented and the extremely cheap sheets came off the bed several times each night. Normally you have hand soap, and dawn in kitchen, dishwasher tablets etc, but nothing given this time. Hot hub was not very clean but we emptied it and re-filled, because it did have chlorine., ten we could use it. Maybe for the younger crowd, this would have been ok. This is not the first time we came down, so it was a bit frustrating. We survived but it's not a place i would go back to.

Slice of Heaven truly lives up to it's name. We had 15 in our group, 8 of which were children. Plenty of space for all. Well equipped and never ran out of hot water! So much to do. Had great weather. One issue, but owner was quick to respond. Hope to be back next year!!

Nice place for everyone to stay and visit. Mountainous terrain with stairs, Stairs and MORE STAIRS!!!! We all worked out our legs! Overall, it was a GREAT time in a good cabin. Thanks so much!!

Large family gathering
Just came back from a Great week at Norris Lake with the family! Our house was the perfect size for the 24 people we had come along (ranging in ages from 9 months to 75).
The beds were comfy... There were 2 kitchens... and plenty of space for everyone to get together.
I would suggest bringing some extra dish towels from home. There was only one set in each kitchen .
There are also 99 stairs from the top level, where everyone gathers, to the dock. Be sure to keep that in mind too, but overall it was an AWESOME place to stay!!

Great spot for extended family vacations
Fantastic spot- my family of 6 stayed here with my sisters family of 6 plus our mother. More than enough space for everyone. Beds were very comfortable. Great, detailed instructions beforehand from the owner. No problems came up while at the property. I just recommended this house to a friend of mine- we had a great time.

Disappointed!
The chalet was great in size however we were very disappointed in the cleanliness making our stay very uncomfortable. The chalet needs a lot of upgrades, maintenance and attention to detail. I am a big believer in, if they are cutting corners in what you can see right in front of you, what are they doing with what you cannot see ie: laundry, cleaning, water in hot tub etc....
Examples: I have pictures that can be forwarded if needed.
*No HOT Water for 3 days
*Excessive mold in showers, mold coming out of all bathroom faucets. Making you have to use bottle water to brush your teeth.
*Bathroom sinks backing up making it hard to use. After 3 days this was fixed.
*Mold coming out of jets in the hot tub. Making it hard for us parents with kids crying wanting to use the hot tub.
*Entire chalet smells damp and musty. We had to leave and go buy tart warmers to mask the smell.
*The kitchens are fully stocked however, we did not have a single pan that could accommodate more than 2 eggs. If a chalet sleeps 28 people, the idea is that you are cooking in bulk. We did contact the owner and he did send larger pots and pans which was very nice. But this wasn't discovered until after we tried making our first meal. I would think a property manager would keep track of this stuff similar to chalet companies in Gatlinburg do.
*Dishwasher had mold/food in bottom. Making us feel the dishes weren't clean. Was not draining properly. Once the guy came to fix the hot water he did fix this.
*Overall upkeep is lacking, bathroom toilet paper holders broken off cabinets, doors are all marked up and FILTHY. Upper back porch is filled with nests, and filthy.
Over all, we travel and book often with VRBO, we are not trying to sound like complainers but feel like maybe the owner is not made aware of the upkeep of his property. When staying away from home, even when Lakeside, you still want to feel at home, at the very least comfortable. We assumed this Chalet would be just like all Chalets we have stayed at in Gatlinburg etc. We would not even sit on the furniture on the lower 2 levels without sheets on them. Overall we were very disappointed. We did end up checking out a day early.

Excellent house!
The house was exactly what we needed for our large family reunion. We were all amazed at the beauty of the cabin! We loved having different levels for us all to spread out. Loved the view. Plenty of space and it was wonderful having two kitchens! Only a few negatives that can easily be fixed. First, we were dealing with wasps inside the cabin on the top floor. We never figured out where they were comong from, but there is a nest in the windows/walls somewhere. A couple things need fixing: master bedroom door on 2nd floor (the one with the bathroom) - door sticks and doesn't lock. One of the blinds on the top floor needs to be fixed as it can't be pulled up. Overall, it was an amazing place and we would love to come back!

Slice of Heaven was wonderful!
John was very responsive to our question(s). The house was wonderful! A few things need fixed/replaced but the overall stay was great. We had one incident that the gate code was changed (break-in in one of the homes) and we had to wait a few hours before getting the new code. I loved the "security" of the gated community. The driving directions were spot on! Very helpful and correct down to the last turn! I can say our "First Cousin's Trip" was a success! Thanks for your hospitality John! I would definitely stay here again.

Really Nice
The cabin is beautiful, extremely spacious, and overall accomodating. The view is spectacular. My immediate family had the entire second level that included: 2 bathrooms, 3 bedrooms, kitchen and balcony. Each floor was equipped similarly. The only issues were there's absolutely no cell service in the area, the nearby cabins are too close--compromising privacy, and the original requirement to make our own beds upon arrival. I was exhausted and felt that the expectation was unacceptable. After informing John about my displeasure with this, he sent someone over to make all 14 beds. I was very very appreciative. So as long as I can enter the cabin without having to make 14 beds, I'd rent it again.
