Cute cabin high up in the trees. Lovely stay. Road was a little treacherous. Would not drive a sports car up to the house again.

Could not get the hot tub above 100F and it took a while to get there. The on demand hot water for the cottage set at lukewarm. The final full-day there was no hot water in the cottage. Everthing is controlled by Bluetooth remotely, there has to be a better value for you vacation dollar. Took the owner a day to get back at me🙃😴

We really enjoyed the cabin. It is magnificently situated on a very steep downslope in the middle of redwoods. As others noted, you can either park on the downhill side (requires about 90 steps climb to the cabin) or you can drive along a narrow mountain path with steep drop-off on one side and steep hill on the other, with about 12 steep steps down to the cabin. Definitely not a place to bring your 90 year old mother. But safe for kids and dogs, I think. As others noted, heaven knows what we would do if we crossed paths with someone on the high road, I guess we would have to do some tricky reverse driving. But we came in and out a few times and didn't cross paths with anyone. The cabin has everything needed, the kitchen, while small, is very well outfitted with what is needed for preparing decent meals. The hot tub was amazing. This cabin is definitely on the "rough and ready" side though, the master bedroom is nice but the second bedroom is small. Heating could be an issue because the main room has the main heater supply and the bedrooms could be chilly. But we thought it was ok. We also noted that some of the electric outlets didn't work but once we sorted out which were on and which were off, we were fine. Shower curtain would be improved if it would be a lot less stiff, it doesn't lay well around the bathtub/shower. One hitch was that when we arrived we noted that there was not much propane, there are 5 tanks but only one of them had any and it was half-empty. There are a few nice toys that take propane, like the BBQ and the fire-pit table The owner apologized profusely and offered to reimburse us if we went down to the town to pick up more, which would not have bothered me but I guess some guests would be annoyed. As it turned out we managed with what we had. Overall, pleased with the place. If you come here you should have a healthy sense of adventure, though.
