About this house rental
Fall & Spring - $5500 monthly rental available. For short term bookings - 3 night minimum required for holiday weekends. This 4 bedroom Tahoe home nestled in the woods right on the Northstar Golf Course features beautiful wooded and golf course views from every room. Enjoy the expansive deck off the great room with large umbrella table and ample bench and chair seating. The upstairs boasts a remodeled fully equipped kitchen, dining area and a vaulted living room with a dramatic floor to ceiling wood-burning rock fireplace, a sofa bed, two leather chairs and wrap around cushioned bench seating. Also on this level is the large master bedroom with a TV, King Bed, and full bathroom. Finishing the upstairs is an additional bedroom with a bunk bed -twin bed on top and a double bed on bottom. There is a half bath off the upper-level hallway. As you move downstairs, you will find a second living area with a sofa bed, two club chairs, a wood-burning fireplace, TV, laundry room, bathroom with a tub/shower, and two bedrooms - one with two twin beds and another cozy bedroom with a queen bed and TV. Downstairs level has easy access to the oversized two car garage. Northstar boasts year-round activities. This house has access to the free Northstar Shuttle that will pick you up at your driveway and take you just up the road to the Village to access the Recreation Center, mountain bike park, ski lifts, ice rink or shops & restaurants! The Golf Club house is conveniently located just a few blocks from this home. This home is pet friendly and has wireless internet. This property offers access to the Northstar Recreation Center ($10 per person/per day). The Recreation Center offers several outdoor Jazuzzi’s, a heated year round adult lap pool, a well-equipped expansive workout room, a game room with pool tables, air hockey, video games and much more. In the summer, guests will also enjoy the Junior Olympic size swimming pool, kiddie pool, adult lap pool, kid’s camp, play area, Snack Shack and tennis/pickleball courts. Summer activities include a champion 18-hole golf course and golf pro, tennis courts, tennis pro available for lessons, rolling skating rink, mountain bike trails including chair lift to take you to the top and equestrian center with great trails for horseback riding. Winter activities at Northstar Resort include the new Lookout Mountain offering acres of new terrain for skiers and snowboarders including a Terrain Park and Super Pipe. There is a cross-country center, snow tubing park, ice skating rink, restaurants, bars, retail shops, equipment rental shops and licensed daycare. Our Guests are only minutes away from Lake Tahoe where you can go boating, jet skiing, kayaking, paddle boarding, parasailing, mountain biking, hiking, shopping, fishing, sightseeing or just enjoy relaxing at the Lake. The property is lovely, had plenty of room. Children enjoyed outdoor activities while at the house. The bedrooms were spacious. It is located close to grocery shopping, Resturants, and Lake Tahoe activities. Spent time at Kings Beach and Tahoe City, also took an afternoon ride on the Tahoe Gal.

My impression is that the company running the home is unaware of many of its problems and idiosyncrasies in the home owner requirements and benefits. It says it sleeps 10, but it only sleeps 4 comfortably--mattresses are not good, the twin room has a thumping sound that goes on in the middle of the night, the guests on the pull out double found the floor more comfortable as did the one in the bunk room. There were only six chairs in dining room table and they were awkward. There were no liners for garbage, ceiling fan did not work, insufficient dish detergent, and wrong coffee filters. The rec center cost twice as much as posted (and 25% more than I was informed when booking the place though the increase had been made 6 months earlier). The instructions on fridge out of date, key safe was difficult to close. On the plus side, the staff did come by and make adjustments to much of this--bringing a fan, liners, coffee filters etc... Also on the plus side was being able to have our dog there, though I think next time we might leave him home to get a more comfortable stay at those prices.

Overall the house is as advertised. Maybe no quite as updated as some of the other houses in the area, but very cozy and comfortable. Perfect for a ski trip. Great value and great location. My only issue was the lighting. a lot of the light bulbs are too white rather than a warm light and that could kind of throw off the cozy feel of the cabin.

Only two things, the bed still had dog hairs so good thing I always bring my own sheets. Did not know that we would have to drive to a near location to take the ALL trash out. This should be done by the cleaning crew. Other than that the place was great!

The photos were very misleading. It makes the place look bigger than it really is. Kitchen area was very small and crowded. Same with all of the areas in the entire house.The fridge was clean but small. Very small freezer. There was a small pantry to put our things. We avoided using the kitchen towels because there were so much pet hair on it. There were also a lot of pet hair on the rug in the living room space. It made it feel like the place was not thoroughly cleaned prior to us coming in. The place was ok overall but really outdated. The chairs in the dining room were so sunken in it was hard for anyone to enjoy their meals at the table due to sinking in and not being able to reach the table.
The house has no AC! Why no one has mentioned it in any of their reviews is beyond me. We did not know until right before our trip (which was too late to refund). There is only one fan in the living area. The bedroom next to the living area is so hot from no air flow. Theres only one window which didnt not allow enough cool night air to flow in. Made it difficult to sleep at night. We moved the master bed a little over to the right to fit an airbed next to it so that the kids could room with us. There were a handful of pills that just fell out of the bed and into the carpet (which we disposed of right away). I'm pretty sure that if they check, they'd prob find more under the bed. Glad we found them and not the kids!

We were greeted by scores of large carpenter ants as soon as we unlocked the door. Some alive, most not. There were dozens more throughoutnthenhouse. Vacuuming didn't help.More came. Called prop. Management- they offers to spray - or ove us to a 2 bed place. With children and dog, neither option made sense. Same story on Sat. Sweep, vacuum, wipe up..Kitchen was very well stocked for meal prep,,, Decor was a bit dated and rooms were choppy, so not conducive to family gathering- unless you were to break up into smaller groups..Outside property was great for exploring... We've not gotten any response from owners regarding bug problem, although property manager was very quick to respond....

The photos of the house are a bit deceiving; the furniture and carpeting are old and dark, and quilts should be updated. Although the house was in fact clean, it never quite felt that it was. The dishwasher and oven were broken, however the management company provided compensation. The management staff was exceptionally good overall. The location was also very good, so, if you don't plan to spend any time in the house, it was fine for the price.

Our get together with family from the east coast went very well. Each person had a place in a comfortable bedroom. The management was very helpful setting up the rental that included a dog. The location was great; we and the dog enjoyed Kings Beach and Donner Lake, and excluding the dog, we all enjoyed the spa and pools at Northstar.

This place was great for our family Thanksgiving trip. It wasn't too big or small, it was just perfect. There was 9 of us with 2 toddlers and it fit all of us comfortably. We were able to all hang out in the TV room together and still be comfortable. The house was clean and had all the amenities we needed. Sheri and Kristi were very friendly and extremely quick to respond. Thank you for a great trip!

We had a wonderful time in this home centrally located at Northstar - right on the golf course. Plenty of space for relaxing. Although we were one family, there's plenty of room for two families. A master and another bedroom plus a den/living area exist upstairs and downstairs.

Great location, quiet neighborhood
Perfect house for a quick weekend getaway. Plenty of sleeping space. Located in a great, quiet, peaceful area that backs into a golf course. I would stay here again!

Great location, secluded
big cabin , lots of beds, comfortable stay, family was happy with accommodations. we were also able to use the gym/pool at the clubhouse which was great!

Property was really good. Couldn't ask for better instructions or location. The master bed, other queen bed and the 2 single beds were comfortable. The bunk beds were not great though, so if you have more than 6 people, it's a little uncomfortable. Very well located, comfortable living room and overall a great place :)

We had a really nice stay earlier in July with the family. It was right on the golf course and not in a crowded area. Felt very safe.

Covid visit
Having access to pool area was nice for grand kids. If Covid is still in place reserve spots ahead of time. Nice location. House a bit dated but fit our needs well Not a golfer so it was nice having access to golf cart path as course was closed

Great Ski Break!
We loved the property. It was an updated throwback to the 70s. We had fun discovering the fun quirks while enjoying the modern amenities (appliances, TV, etc). The kitchen was well stocked and the home was spacious enough for everyone. There were no issues during our stay, but properly management did call the first night to let us know a plumber would be by to fix a running toilet the prior guests reported. This was done quickly and didn't interfere with our stay. The Northstar shuttle was easy, you either called or downloaded an app and it picked you up at the bottom of the driveway, most times in 5-10 minutes. The kids enjoyed sledding and playing on the golf course property in the back yard. Wonderful end to our winter break!

Great Time
This cabin was great for a large family vacation! Four bedrooms, three bathrooms with other pull out couches, etc. gave us all the room we needed. One word of warning ... this house isn’t very toddler friendly. Lots of stairs both inside and off the outside deck ... the gate latch to the deck stairs is broken. Fireplace stone right at head high, etc. not really the cabin’s fault ... just so you know if your family has some young toddlers ... we has two.

Nice, spacious place
It was a great place! Shuttle access to the Village was easy. Location is close to King's Beach area (maybe like 15 min. without traffic). Plenty of space. SUPER easy check-in. Very responsive property managers. Our internet and TV didn't work and they were nice to give us some credit back for the inconvenience. Appreciated that!
A few things that could have been better are:
1. There are absolutely no condiments/spices for the kitchen. You have to bring EVERYTHING yourself. I guess this could be normal? I'm used to Airbnb places and they AT LEAST have salt & pepper, foil, zip lock, cling wrap.
2. Kitchen appliances can be updated as they were all very old, but nonetheless did its job.
3. Beds are TERRIBLE! It dips low and is just not comfortable. Mattresses DEFINITELY are in need of new ones.
4. For the grill we had to use a pine needle to get it started.
Overall though it's a nice and comfortable place.
