The sunrise pictures were great. The tub dripped the whole time. Easy fix ifgot the plumber to do it. The kitchen sink faucet was loose. When it rained major mud puddles. Minor problems to fix. The location was excellent. It was clean and we enjoyed it. But like I said some things need fixing.

The view was amazing and being right on the water was great! However, cleaning crew was still onsite 2 hours after check in time. The chemicals used to clean we're overpowering and made us feel sick. The pictures online don't tell the truth of the place. While it was cozy and efficient for sleeping, the kitchen and bathroom left a lot to be desired. There are barely any dishes and we weren't able to cook much at all. We couldn't get the shower on and once we did, it was so old I felt we would break it every time we used it. All in all we enjoyed our stay because of the location, but feel the cost was not reflected in the home.

This location is dated and not as modern as others in the area, but for the price, it did not disappoint. The price was probably 40%+ less than other smaller properties with less room, but way worth it. I know I got a great deal.
I was by myself, so it was larger than what I needed but I sure wasn't going to say no to this deal. Fully functional everything, except I couldn't figure out how to turn on the overhead kitchen light/fan, maybe that was just me.
The only thing I wish it had was a simple outdoor dining table, even a picnic table would have been cool to sit outside and enjoy the view while having a meal. A dedicated small BBQ as well as there are 2 units on the property with one BBQ between the two.
Other than that, a great experience with the manager, very quick to answer questions when asked.
Great stay, thank you!

We loved our stay here in the Keys. This place had all we needed and beds very comfortable. The Tiki bar down the road was our favorite place to eat and ride our bikes up for an afternoon Margarita. Thanks for allowing us to stay.

A little like camp but you can’t beat the price, central to everything but still private. Cute beach bar down the road. Awesome host!!

We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage. We stayed at cottage 2. Everything was exactly as shown.

Nice quiet place to lay your head, while you enjoy the beauty of The Keys. Its has everything I need in-between adventures around the islands. 2nd time I've stay here and sure it won't be the last. Kiki's has the best food around.

The cottage is clean and conveniently located. Air conditioner in master bedroom was very loud but it did keep the room cool. A little disappointed that there was only 1 kayak available as we would have enjoyed exploring the shoreline. We would come again.

Perfect vacation! Could kayak or snorkel right from back yard!! And house was a lot bigger than we thought. Little pics of paradise, would definitely do it again!

The cottage was in a great location and super clean with everything u need from kitchen pots and pans, utensil, dishes, towels etc but the only critique I would give is that the property manager needs to clean out the back yard mangloves bushes as they are blocking the water view and the water access. Other than that, i really really enjoyed it.

Property needs work. Window A/C units are very loud. Kitchen gets very hot during day. I brought my own industrial fan because of a review I read about property that said it was hot and yes it was. Ceiling in main bedroom looks like its going to fall on you. Otherwise comfortable and perfect location. Restaurant in walking distance,Bahia Honda only couple miles away. Grocery store and pharmacy near by.
* While I was there painter came, so it may be in process of some work. Alot of work is needed for property.

So the camp (and let's stress that word not house or cottage) was cute but very rough. The exterior wood siding and stairs were rotted. The master bedroom was separating from the house (the floor sagged as you walked into the room and the ceiling was bowed in in two places). While basically clean, the rot on the outside made the back steps fairly unsafe.
We were there in late March to Early April and they daytime highs were in the mid 80's. The kitchen of the unit was unbearably hot and the rest of the unit was just barely tolerable. They just have 3 small window ac units, and those hadn't been cleaned in a very long time. I took the filters off and cleaned those, the metal cooling unit fins, and the fan vent as best I could, but there was visible black mold inside the unit and you could definitely smell it. We had no choice but to run the units and even with all 3 going, you were just able to keep it comfortable. It is unlikely to to be someplace you can comfortably stay from May to October.
Also, we didn't know this going in, but the range and the dyer and a wall heater were all propane, but we didn't see a carbon monoxide detector nor did we see a flammable gas leak detector. Those are all required by law in rentals with propane/gas appliances where we are from, and just a good idea in general. We didn't have issues, thankfully, but it was a bit unnerving all things considered.
I would add that the owners do appear to be working on both this camp and the smaller one right behind it - they share the lot and are only about 50 feet apart with shared outside picnic area. So maybe in another year or so some of the issues will be addressed.

Great location, restaurants are close by, the place is perfect for a small family or small group out to fish (in my case) or enjoy the lower keys. Quiet, peaceful and a beautiful night sky. Close enough to Key West or Marathon to accommodate any tourist stuff, but also off the path enough to feel a true keys experience. Will diffidently keep this place on mind for future fishing or quiet get aways.

Absolutely beautiful view of bay and sunrise. Cottage needs fixing up. Curb appeal is lacking. Property is in need of a major overhaul.

Very peaceful and relaxing place to stay. Beautiful view. Amazing weather in February with sunny and breezy days and starry nights in the 70’s. But accommodations in the Keys are overpriced.

The house was fine but there is no central air conditioning, only window units which did not cool off the entire house. We closed off the kitchen area to keep the living area cool. I do not recommend this location if you are hot natured or not use to Florida weather.

The little cottage looked rough from the outside but was actually quite cute and spacious inside. Property also a bit rough (due to Ian) but nice patio area to sit and look out at the water. We were disappointed that we never put our kayaks in there - very rocky and shallow- but we went other places for that. Quiet community with nothing but local Tiki bar which was pleasant for music, beer and dinner.

Great property with great people running it!

Property needs some repairs but nothing effected the use of the cottages. We were clean, dry and safe. Adequately stocked with necessities. Parking could be frustrating if you didn't rent both units. We had a great time, well worth the money for the area.

The place is quaint and was clean when we arrived. However, the toilet didn’t work when we got there, the gas grill did not work, the gas stove oven didn’t work and the dryer didnt heat up. The scariest part was when the oven would not turn off. This is a very dangerous and possibly deadly situation. This was unacceptable. We brought and bought food to cook at the rental that we could not cook. We had to spend extra money to go out and eat. We also had to take our wet clothes to a laundry mat to dry.
We understand you are in the process of redoing the outside but the broken down tables and chairs are a hazard laying around. The table outside has rusted feet that if someone cuts themselves on they could get an infection and who knows what could happen.
You need to supply more trash bags, toilet paper, towels and wash rags. For the kitchen you need more bowls and oven cooking ware. An umbrella outside for shade is a must with the intense Florida sun. There were so many no see I’m bugs outside we could not enjoy it!
The house was not up to what you advertised.
We had our friends from Michigan rent the other house so we could enjoy each others company but they had to leave early because of the mold situation in their place.
We chose the place for our honeymoon because of the beach house atmosphere and privacy. We made the best of our stay but are completely disappointed with all the things not working and having to spend extra money to eat out. Even though we called on the toilet and oven - no one ever came to fix it.
At this point I would suggest you stop renting the place until you have it in proper working order.

Second visit to this property. Beautiful sunrise over the channel to be enjoyed on the living room couch. Clean as a pin. So restful and relaxing. A little slice of heaven.

We had to make other arrangements, because they were full on the nights we selected.

Two things; 1. The dryer takes 6 or 7 attempts to dry anything.
The housekeeper is not cleaning top of cabinets, refrigerator, etc. I am 6’1” and it is terribly dirty.

I was looking for a place to stay that wasn't so busy and crowded like in Key West and came across this place and it was great. Great location, privacy, price and had everything we needed to get us through the week!

The pictures posted show a cute Fl style cottage but we pulled up to a place that has clearly been neglected. The cottage was completely surrounded by water up to our ackles and had to walk through it to get to either front or back door. We called to notify and was told it was caused by high tide and said didn’t know what to tell us. There were ants in the kitchen and bathrooms and the place smelled musty. I had read a couple reviews before renting and thought it can’t be that bad because the pictures looked very pleasant. Unfortunately the bad reviews are true and we would never recommend staying there especially a family with little ones. We stayed away from the home except to sleep and shower. We were looking forward to using the outdoor area on the water but due to it being mud and water we were unable to. I understand weather happens but if you know there are tide issues that should be disclosed and you should also update your pictures to get an accurate understanding of what you are paying for.

Every thing was simple and easy. Had a wonder experience!

Pretty basic, we only needed a place to stay while fishing. Not luxurious, on the water, beautiful sunrises, close to KiKi’s.

What a wonderful and memorable visit. No noisy highway, a quiet residential neighborhood. Waterfront was nice for morning kayaking! Ibis and iguana were the guardians of the yard.
The home sleeps four but note that the one bathroom is only accessible via the master bedroom. That was fine for the two of us.
We had a great time but I expect the owner would agree that a few upgrades might make the home even more comfortable, e.g., to cover bare bulbs or have a more updated kitchen, not that we minded. Having a water view, a tranquil location, and space to relax was perfect for us.

We spent 4 nights at the cottage over Labor Day weekend and loved it! Perfect location for us to go on day trips to Key West or Islamorada & Marathon. We enjoyed drinking coffee out back & watching the sunrises. We slept comfortably on the queen size bed. Our daughter used a queen sized air mattress we brought for the living room & we used the second bedroom for mainly storage. Everyone was happy, even our two dogs. We will definitely stay here again if we can.

Very cute little cottages. Served all our basic needs. Nothing fancy.

We rented this property for a week for two adults and two dogs. The check in process was easy but definitely unsafe. When we arrived at the property the door was wide open with the key out in the open. We have stayed at other rental properties that have a lock box with the key which is definitely more comforting. In addition the cottage is very run down that isn’t necessarily pictured in the posting. The bedroom ceiling looked like it was going to cave in and the property overall looks like it hasn’t been properly maintained in a number of years. The worst part of our experience here was the amount of ants. They are all over, especially in the bathroom/around the sink which was absolutely disgusting. The dryer works poorly, it took two drier cycles to dry a small load of laundry. The best part of the property was the beach access area, even though it hasn’t been kept up with in a while.

The property was nothing like the website, smells of musty/mold. Everyone got sick, ants real bad. Under cottage standing full of old nasty water, when it rains it comes in the windows, and at wall ac. Not safe to stay at

Comfortable Stay in the Keys
This a great place to stay in the lower keys. Perfect for a small family on a cheap budget. The new a/c made it comfortable in the hot part of the day and great access for paddle boards or kayaks. The outside needs some serious attention but all in all it was worth the money. We would stay here again. Loved the beach vibe of this cottage.
