This home is located in the friendly neighborhood of Crystal Springs on the southwest side of Bainbridge Island. This waterfront community is situated along 2.5 miles of country road with a gorgeous, unobstructed water view of the Port Orchard Narrows and the Olympic Mountains. Crystal Springs Drive provides a flat stretch perfect for walking, biking or jogging. The beach is a combination of sand, shells and stones and is ideal for strolling or beachcombing. Search for agates or collect shells, sand dollars and driftwood. At low tide, discover star fish and other marine life. Relatively calm waters make this a perfect spot for water activities - rent kayaks or paddleboards! This home is located only minutes from historic Lynwood Center, The Manor House and the new Pleasant Beach Village, all offering a great variety of shopping, casual and fine restaurants and plenty of entertainment. Winslow Way – the island’s “Main Street” - is 15 minutes away. Bainbridge Island is known for its thriving art scene and Winslow Way is dotted with galleries, antique shops and an art museum. My daughter and her two sons visited for several days in January and stayed at this wonderful beach cabin near to our house. This is their second stay at the property, though it was the first in winter. Their only complaint is that the ground floor was always chilly. We set the thermostat to 70F but the temperature never rose above 64F. Also, the place has a wood stove, and firewood is stacked outside, but the loose leaf binder full of notes and tips says nothing about operating the wood stove. Perhaps the assumption is that it is self-explanatory? Unfortunately, people coming from parts of the country where wood stoves are uncommon might never have learned how to open the flue.

We loved the place, and it was so relaxing to just hang out on the big wraparound porch and watch the water activity. It is a quiet street and lots of walkers!

This is a comfortable well-equipped property. It was very hot and so it was a bit difficult to cool the place down. Not all windows have screens and we were not keen to get mosquitos.

The pictures do not do this home justice, it is beautiful. It is also well appointed with a stocked kitchen, nice linens and more. Lovely, peaceful view of the sound. Quintessential Bainbridge Island. Thank you!

This place is perfect for a small family and dog. Water is right across the street so bring your water toys. Yard is great for well behaved dog. Walking trails nearby for some adventure

We had a lovely 3 night weekend getaway at this comfortable and inviting home on Bainbridge Island. We cooked all meals and found the kitchen very well appointed and organized. The beds and linens were very comfortable. The home has a wonderful radiant floor heating system that kept us cozy on a very wet and wintery stay. We hope to return again!

This a cool vintage beach house in a nice waterfront neighborhood. Our first impression as we drove up wasn't overly positive because the yard and exterior appeared to be somewhat neglected. Inside, the cottage was charming and had some nice updates reflecting the period of the house. The outside covered front porch was a comfortable place for breakfast or to sit and read once the sun had passed over. The home has many lovely French doors and windows that brighten it up and bring the outside in. Unfortunately, there are only a couple of screens. We stayed during a major heat wave and even though the bedrooms and living room have ceiling fans, it was still too hot. When the sun went down, the outside temperature dropped so we'd open all of the windows and doors in order to cool the house down. Without screens, the house quickly filled up with dozens of moths and creepy flying insects. I counted 18 moths in the upstairs bathroom on our first night. We quickly learned that if we left all of the lights off in the house, it wasn't quite as bad, but the lack of screens made our stay very uncomfortable. The other major downside to this cottage is that all of the French doors lock from the inside making it a dangerous place to be during a fire. Also, the throw rugs don't have pads so they slip when walked on We ended up taking all of them up during our visit to avoid a possible fall. The house is right across the street from the beach. During certain times the day, the roadway gets fairly busy. During the evening, many individuals walk in order to enjoy the cool breezes and the Beautiful ocean views and sunsets. The Neighbors who we talk to were extremely friendly. A downside for us was that the beach is privately owned, although there is one small public area a block or so down the street.

We stayed here for a week to celebrate my wife’s birthday. The location to the beach was great, and you can get to anywhere in town within 15 minutes. Faces west for great sunsets. Would recommend!

We loved this place for a short getaway. The house was welcoming, clean, and cozy. We enjoyed the heated floors on the main level. The location was ideal as it was far enough away from town but everything was still close by. Daily walks along the beach and water are a must. The yard was beautifully landscaped and enjoyed time on the wrap around porch. Will definitely be back again!

Gorgeous property on the water. Wonderful amenities. We had a fantastic time and the neighbors were very friendly. We would limes to have had a fire in the fireplace but didn’t hear back from the owners but no worries. All in all it was a 10plus plus.

Our family loved our time at Crystal Springs. We stayed here with 2 kids and 4 adults and had plenty of room. This home is exactly what you'd dream of for a vacation rental. It's cozy, charming, clean, and comfortable and had everything we needed to relax for a week on the island. The porch is amazing any time of day. Great location to town, beautiful view and beach, and we loved taking daily walks up and down Crystal Springs Rd. We would love to stay again!

The house was nicer than the photos! Wish we could have stayed longer…was fairly speedy with the additional fees (booking, cleaning) for a two night stay.
