Cabin in the Wine Country-Surrounded by vineyards
About this cabin rental
Very cute and updated cabin tucked in the middle of wine country under beautiful oak trees and rolling hills. This cabin has a full bath (rustic shower trough tub), living area with kitchen, and new KING size bed. Cabin has amazing views of local vineyards and is only 2 miles from town and 15 miles to the beach. This cabin was originally built in the 40's during WWII and was used on Camp Roberts as a military bunker. Its a very unique, charming, quite, cozy place to stay. Ride your bike or drive to local winery's or take a 15 minute drive to the beach. We are right off Highway 46 West. Located in the 'Templeton Gap' you can escape the heat, guaranteed cooler weather here with a slight afternoon breeze from the coastal influence. Free parking, out door space, BBQ, and gorgeous views. Less then 1 mile from Paso Port, Hunt Cellars, Niner Wine Estates, Tooth & Nail, 4 Lanterns, Lone Madrone Winery, Shale Oak Winery, Red Soles Winery, Linne Calodo Cellars, Turley Wine Cellars and many more. Owners live on property but your stay will be very private. We have a ranch dogs and barn cats. Horses and cattle resided on the property too.

2nd time staying at Stacia and John's cabins. Most relaxing place I've ever stayed. Views are spectacular. Most darling cabins with nice touches, smore's kit, fire pit, bbq and the best view from the kitchen window.

It says it’s a one bedroom. It’s not. It’s a studio. My husband and I were quite cramped in the cabin since we stayed for almost a full week. The listing originally advertised a hot tub, when I contacted the property manager about this discrepancy, she was rude and dismissed me. She later tried to calm me down (my husband and I were about to cancel our stay due to the misleading listening) and she offered a gift card that I never received so now I feel I was lied to twice by her. It is VERY rustic… with a crack in the front door and all. I would not recommend staying in this cabin during seasons of extreme weather. We were very cold and the cabin did not have enough blankets.

Exactly as described and pictured. It is a rustic, but very cozy and convenient cabin. It's small, but not too small. We were comfortable in spite of temperatures in the mid-30s at night. Heater worked well and we found an extra blanket to put on the bed. Kitchen very convenient, though we only fixed breakfast. Fire pit was convenient to use. We will stay here again.

Private, cozy, intimate, and peaceful. Great weekend getaway, but wish we could have stayed longer. Clean with modern well supplied amenities. Close to great towns like Cambria and Paso Robles, and sites like the beach, vineyards, and Hearst Castle. Would recommend and book again. Thanks for sharing this great space :)

We thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend at the bunkhouse. Property was exactly as described. Communication with owner was excellent. So many great wineries just a short distance away. We would definitely stay here again!

Such a great place. Will definitely come again. It’s a little close to the main road, which we weren’t expecting, so sitting out on the patio by the fire with our morning cup of coffee was lit as peaceful as we’d hoped, but this didn’t bother either of us enough to not want to come back. We only heard the traffic while outside and it didn’t affect our sleep or anything like that.
Also, the air conditioner hadn’t been left on for us for our arrival, so it was a tough start as it was 100 degrees, but the little wall unit was a workhorse and cooled us off within minutes. Be aware of the door lock to the front door. You gotta push, then pull or vice versa to get the door to lock (I never got it, but my husband did). Property manager was very responsive when we had to text and ask about it.
We loved Percy so much. The kitty too(not sure of his/her name). And the cows down the street.
Loved everything about it.

Loved all the extra touches. Great location if you’re interested in the wineries. Really unique interior of the cabin. Tip: Pier46 Seafood Restaurant very overrated.

We are still on the property this morning, our last day. Picture rolling hills, oaks, vineyards, which seem (and are) within arms reach from the comfort of the cabin, one of three dwellings on the property. It's chilly outside (32 deg. F at sunrise) and sunny while toasty warm inside. A small electric furnace provides sufficient heat on its lowest setting (we turned it off at night our second night as it proved to be too warm the first night). The cabin is comfortable, quaint, cozy, charming, rustic, yet conveys a modern touch (flat screen, coffee maker, toaster oven, apparent new flooring, throw rugs). Hot water is nearly instantaneous. The shower worked exceedingly well; an overhead space heater in the bathroom warms the room quickly.
We chose this property as a place to visit with two other couples while maintaining sufficient distance from each other. There is ample outdoor seating (the Farm House is the place to gather outside, as it provides a generous view overlooking the countryside). We enjoyed seeing the inside of each of the three dwellings. As a place to gather and visit this property is exceptional. It's peaceful here.
The resident lab, Percy, dropped by daily. She's friendly and well behaved, a lovely dog and apparently well-loved pet, a reflection of the kindness and good nature of her owner(s), whom we did not chance to meet.
This is a great place to spend time with friends and family. Morro Bay is a short 30 minute drive; Cambria is even closer. And it's a short five minute drive back into "civilization" for Starbucks and other essentials. Wifi worked well.
Do bring drinking water. Tap water is fine but has a an off-putting taste. You'll appreciate doing so if you brew your own coffee. Enjoy!

We loved the cabin. Perfect for a couple. Had all the amenities and ideally situated close to wineries but still feels like you are in the countryside with the pastures and views. Nice little touches like the Smores kit made it special. Looking forward to another visit soon.

Beautiful property on a ranch like atmosphere. Adorable rustic cabin that had everything you would need for a short stay. We had our dog with us and he loved woofing at the cows and romping around. Such a beautiful view and just a couple of minutes to downtown Paso. We would definitely stay here again.

Tiny piece of heaven...
Such a quaint tiny cabin perfect for two! Perfectly appointed for returning from the toils of wine tasting with a fire pit, a tiny well stocked kitchenette with the usual stuffs to make snack and after wine bits.
DVD player and a just right selection of movie favorites to curl up with after toasting s’mores outside.
Night 1 bought cheese and bits, and of course wine, from the local grocer and noshed by the fire as a para glider buzzed across the vineyards. Night 2 bought burgers from Good ol’Burger on 24th and totally gorged on oh so good greasy burgers and French fries in front of a movie.
Perfect escape under the oak trees and we will be back!!!

Great stay in Paso Robles
We had an excellent stay. The cabin is off hwy 46, close to many wineries, located on country property. Its surrounded by large oak trees creating shade and a cool laid back atmosphere. The cabin is funky and rustic, clean and lots of attention to little details. By day we enjoyed cruising the area on our electric bikes for great wine tasting. At night there's a nice outdoor atea with a firepit and chairs to watch the stars.
Owners were very helpful and communicative with booking. We highly recommend for a couple. Dog friendly too.

Beautiful View from the Cabin
The Cabin was fantastic with everything we needed. Our stay was 8 days, so it might have been a bit small but the view & the opportunity to relax & "vegetate" among the vineyards more than made up for it. The German Shepherd spent some quality time communing with the cows & relaxed from his stressful job guarding us. I would definitely recommend this place! Thanks for the hospitality!

Terrific Get-a Way.
The atmosphere was just the rustic type of place that I like. Quiet and peaceful, but fun. Happened to be in the middle of many wonderful wineries, too.

A March Weekend getaway
My wife and I were up to visit my daughter who attends Cal Poly SLO (25 minutes away) - and at the same time work in some hiking and winery visits. The property is ideally located for wine tasting- if a bit rural - right alongside the 46 highway which is absolutely littered with wineries. In brief, we enjoyed our stay and found property very quaint.
The only FYI comment I would provide to others looking to book this property is that the water tastes very bad (well water) and you must plan to bring your own drinking water for coffee and and basic water needs. Also if weather is cold be aware that there is an electric room heater only which does make noise switching itself on and off much of the night.

Cozy Cabin in Wine Country
This was a very cozy cabin in the heart of Paso Robles/Templeton wine country. Great location to get to all the sights you want to visit as well as a fairly quick trip over to the coast. Accommodations were very clean, bed comfy and a very nice touch of flowers in the room upon my arrival.

What a fun quaint place to stay while visiting this area. Adorable cabin. All the necessities. Close to Paso and the coastal towns of cayucos and cambria are a hop skip away. Owners give you privacy but if you need anything are very responsive. Thanks again for the great extended weekend.

What an amazingly charming cabin! Perfect!!
This was the perfect place for a weekend getaway. Close to great wineries, amazing views, and awesome amenities. Why rent a hotel miles from the wineries when you can have a cozy, private place right next door? And the care and attention to detail while remodeling the cabin were spot on. Looking forward to going back!

charming, private, with great views near wonderful wineries
The cabin reminded us of summer camp, with s'mores and a feeling of rustic woods, but our summer camps were never decorated as lovely as this. One stop at Trader Joe's and we had everything we could possibly need, as everything else had been provided for us. We definitely will be returning. Thank you again, Staci!

My fiance and I had a wonderful stay. The cabin was adorable and had everything we needed (even farm fresh eggs for us in the fridge :)) We visited wineries during the day and came back and cooked steaks and had a fire. It was perfect!!
