The property is in a nice quiet neighborhood, and was very clean. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals, and we didn’t need to purchase or rent anything to enjoy all of the beaches. Quick 10-15 minute scenic drive to Hanalei.

If you are looking for island vibe accommodations for your trip to Kauai, this is it! We stayed 19 nights. The apartment was nice, clean, it has a very well stocked kitchen for cooking any type of meal, cooler bags for grocery shopping, beach chairs, umbrella and even a cooler for the beach. It also had the little things like, garbage bags, laundry detergent, hand soap, and tupperware containers. (These are the things that at any other VRBO, we have had to purchase after a couple days - use not even 1/4 of it and have to leave it behind!) Having the washer/dryer was a huge plus - allows for lighter packing. No A/C however, the hosts have 2 free standing fans. Ceiling fan in the Kitchen/living and bedroom areas, with the trade winds, it was very comfortable. The hosts Cheryll and Doug were amazing, answered any question we had about the area. We definitely would not hesitate to rebook if we were to return to Kauai.

This was the perfect base for our activities on Kauai. It had everything we needed - full kitchen with supplies, washer/dryer, etc. It stayed cool most evenings and there were many fans when it did get warm. The bed was very soft. It was a quick walk to the cliffs to see the ocean and easy drive to everything else on the island.

Good 2 person condo. Well stocked with beach items. Washer/dryer works well. Infact everything worked well. The condo internet didn't show up on the available list however the phone still had access to the net somehow.
There is a freshly hatched Albatross chick and parent close by the condo. Very quiet neighborhood. Good stay even with a fair amount of rain. (Note Kapaa traffic is very slow going!)

Property owners were nice and responsive but the property was not clean enough and several amenities were broken, or missing. I would not stay again. Examples: Shower grout was moldy, excessive rust (more than normal for Kauai properties), toilet was dirty or excessively stained, screen door did not close, bathroom screen has huge gap, hair dryer was missing from box, extra fan broke while in use, extra garbage cans cluttered deck, and outdoor light barely worked. Its in a convenient area and the resort property is nice.

Perfect little condo for couples! Had everything we needed not to mention extra towels and random things like salt which came in handy since we did a lot of our own cooking.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Kauuai and our accommodations at the Princeville condo. A lovely setting with all amenities close by. The condo was comfortable and clean and the gardens lovely. Highly recommended.

Making it easy
Our time on Kauai was planned to be simple. Going to a variety of beaches, hikes, farmers markets and fresh fish markets on the North Shore. Princeville was an easy decision and Doug’s place, right on the golf course gave us a peek at the sunrise and enjoyed the Fall sunset as well. The condos were just repainted on the outside and it looks super fresh. I would stay there again. Thanks Doug for making it easy

Great spot!
Really enjoyed our stay. Condo was exactly as described. Lots of kitchen utensils/cooking tools. Lots of fans to cool down the place if needed. Within walking distance to a pick up to the Kauai North Shore shuttle going to Ha’ena State Park. Also very close to multiple great beaches.

The location of this condo was great. The property could have been cleaner when we came in there were 3 dead cockroaches and the toilet wasn't cleaned. The main issue we had was there was no air conditioning or swamp cooler. It was sticky hot all day and night (the 2nd night it was 92 degrees at 2 am). We called Greg the owner and he advised to open windows and wait for trade winds (they never came) we considered leaving after first night to find a cooler place. The living area is high so that increases the heat in the place- the fans did nothing but blow hot air around. We wish this is in the description before we booked. The check-in process and everything else was fine.

We really enjoyed our stay at Greg's place. It was in the perfect location to easily get to Hanalei Town, see some beautiful sunsets at the end of the road in Princeville, and watch the sun rising over the golf course. The unit had everything we needed to feel comfortable, cook food, etc. We felt like we were coming home each time we walked in the door, which is saying something. Clean comfy bed as well. Thank you for everything!

Great value in Princeville
My husband and I enjoyed our stay. As others have said, this unit does not face the golf course. But walk out the door and around the building and it’s a short walk to the cliff with beautiful ocean views. We did rearrange the furniture so we could see the TV and out to deck instead of facing kitchen. Also couch is very uncomfortable, needs new cushions. I cannot imagine anyone sleeping on it. Apart from that the unit is very comfortable with everything you could need. If you stay make sure you walk through Seacliff to the Secret Beach trail. Awesome!

Quite, clean, close to great beaches
The condo was clean, quite, and had a full kitchen and washer/dryer which was great since we stayed there for 11 days enjoying the slower pace of life on the north shore of Kauai compared to California. We started each morning by going for a run around Princeville to check the surf before returning back to the condo to make smoothies and load up the surfboards. I feel this condo was great for the price.

Excellent Choice for Northshore of Kaui
This condo in Princeville is well situated for activities along the north and east shores. The condo itself was clean, well equipped and delightfully captured the breezes. Excellent hosts and thoroughly enjoyable stay!

Loved the bed!
This was my first trip to Kauai and we had a wonderful stay. While there is no AC, the fans works excellent to cool the condo down in the evening and the bed is amazing. I slept like a baby my entire stay. The kitchen is fully stocked with anything you might need for cooking. Having the cooler, beach chairs and snorkel gear was an added plus! He provides 2 beach towels but if you prefer a large towel make sure you bring your own. The only thing I wish was available was a walkway out towards the golf course to view the ocean. The small window view from the bathroom was just a tease. Overall great stay!

Think twice!
We had an extended stay in Kaua'i and this was our last stop. We did not expect resort-like quality but didn't think of the fact that this condo might not have air conditioning. It was after we arrived around 9pm on our first night, sweaty from bringing our luggage upstairs, tired and sunburned when we were shocked to find out that there was no way to cool ourselves down except by circulating the hot air with fans.
It was hotter than usual for this time of the year. High 80s every day which isn’t that uncommon for Princeville in the summer but compounded the issue of not having the A/C in early fall. We contacted the owner and manager to see if there was anything they could do about the omitted information and they responded like we caught them doing something wrong. No apologies or solutions, they just kept mentioning that houses in Kaua’i don’t usually have A/C - implying it was our fault which it definitely was to some extent. We simply would have looked elsewhere for our 5 night stay had we known about the lack air conditioning.
Please also note that this is a second floor condo! This also automatically makes the unit warmer. Everything you bring must be brought upstairs. The windows in the condo face West so in the evening everything gets really hot really quickly. This made us simply avoid the condo for a majority of the afternoon and evening (which should be the case anyway - you’re in Hawaii!). It wouldn’t normally be an issue but we got sunburned and were looking to escape the sun on our second night here. My husband ended up getting really sick because of the heat in the condo and almost resulted in us seeking medical attention.
Other than the lack of comfort, it is a nice place. It is someone’s vacation home so there are all of the items one would want to live normally. Nice washer and dryer, dish washer, appliances, kitchen gadgets, etc. Again, had to time the dish washer and washer/dryer so we didn’t add more heat to the condo. It was a great price for the features. Sits on a golf course right on a bluff with a short drive to the beach, Hanalei or Kilauea. The best sunsets we saw all trip were here!
We ended up seeing cockroaches in the bathroom - not sure if this is an issue for this condo or for Kaua’i in general. Either way, it was uncomfortable for someone who is not used to these pests.

Very much in need of upkeep and falsely advertised.
Advertised as sleeping 3 with a queen bed and sofa for 3rd person, my adult son and I were to have some long awaited shared time at a family reunion here. Unfortunately we had to find other accommodations and were denied any refund. The sofa which was supposed to sleep 1 was about 5 feet long with 3 very irregular cushions. The queen bed was so soft that we couldn't share the bed without rolling into each other and we're both fit, not heavy. I tried to adapt (as he refused to work with any refund) by sleeping on his thin pad on the floor, but when I saw the cockroaches running around on the floor in the morning, I decided I wasn't up for sleeping on their freeway. So we left to rent another place.
I called the local staff who were very sympathetic and did what they could to fix several of a the list of broken things, from privacy deprivation, heat and humidity issues, to safety hazards. They were very nice and let me know I wasn't the first to face these challenges and that though informed, the owner refused to address them and told me his reviews were great so why should I have a problem. A list of broken things follows. Mostly, save yourself the frustration and find something where they care.
Broken vertical blinds (20" of the 6 ft door) were missing so no privacy in the LR/Kitchen, broken ceiling light fixture in the LR, the Only bath window was fixed shut so heat and humidity were very uncomfortable. (this was fixed into the all open position by their local staff who really tried to make things right, but could only do so much) when the wind picked up it was blasted with cold and too windy to shower.
No light at the porch so the 2 steps and keyhole were not visible. they tried to fix this as well but the next-door neighbors had the other 3way switch and took off the tape intended to keep it working for us.
General disrepair and unclean (missing grout at tub, toilet needs babying, cockroaches, other broken blinds etc. I'm a pretty seasoned traveler of 3rd world conditions, but at this price with no refund and no open ear from the owner, it's pretty inexcusable.

We had an amazing stay. Convenient, quite, and tranquil location. Condo was fully stocked and had everything we needed and more. Bed was super comfortable, like sleeping on a cloud. Great balcony for breakfasts. 5/5 would stay again!

great location for all things North Shore
Nice townhouse in a peaceful, friendly development on a golf course ... with the Princeville shopping plaza only a few blocks away to get food, etc. Hanalei Bay is also just a hop & skip away. Because of the rainy weather that eventually turned into the infamous Kauai Flood of April 2018, we were lucky to be on the "right" side of the Hanalei Bridge which closed to traffic for approx 24 hours when the rain got super heavy. Kauai has such a long list of awesome places to see and visit that we ended up spending a lot of time seeing things. This location was ideal for farmer's markets, mini golf, boogie boarding, hiking, swimming, snorkeling, attended the McMaster slack key guitar & ukelele concert just a few blocks away in the Princeville Community Center on Tuesday night (highly recommended!). The location is a bit of a drive to get to Waimea Canyon, Polihale and such, but nothing whatsoever when you are used to San Francisco Bay Area distances. Greg was nice and responsive. The kitchen was all appointed with everything you need for cooking in terms of pots, pans, utensils, etc. 2 of the 3 boogie boards were damaged (cracked or broken internally), but even thus I was able to boogie board just fine. We had several birds come visit us on the porch, especially a red-headed cardinal who came up to the porch door and chirped as if demanding to be fed. I suspect he must have realized that occasionally people leave crumbs on the porch and he comes by to check every so often. The parking was a breeze ... and just a few steps away from the front door. Leaving the bathroom window open and porch door open (screen closed) and even the metal screen-grate front door (dead-bolted) at night allowed the tradewinds to blow across the townhouse in the evening with the sounds of the birds and waves outdoors. This is indeed a pleasant way to sleep. Having a combo washer/dryer in the unit is absolutely essential in Hawaii when you spend the day outdoors and come home with things that need a freshening up.

This condo was nicely equipped with everything we needed for our visit to Kauai. The only thing missing is a view of the ocean but if you're like us and you spend most of your day seeing the natural wonders of Kauai it works for the price. The owner was wonderful to work with when we had a little mix up on dates and he totally took care of us. It is also conveniently located to lots of great beaches, shopping and snorkeling.
