Loved our stay at Coastguard Cottage. Really relaxing and chilled time at Jury’s Gap!
Brilliant property. Really beautifully set out. Lovely decor. Everything to hand. Comfortable beds. Great location for a long relaxed weekend with family. Boys loved staying in the room at the top of the house with the quirky stairs. Really dog friendly. Felt it was home from home but near the sea!
Nothing to dislike in our opinion!

Wonderful stay
Homely feel (as opposed to being a sterile holiday let), gorgeous decor, well equipped home, great living room, garden and outdoor seating area, loads of books and games for a rainy day, hospitable hosts who left welcome gifts! The neighbour is lovely. Super location for Camber and Dungeness and not too close to the busy centre. Private parking and dog friendly AND a guide reminding us of the tides and safety. It’s a little bit scruffy in the garden and I had to clean the BBQ but it’s not a big deal.
The water pressure is poor so it’s only possible for one person to have a shower at a time and you can’t use any kitchen taps while showering either. The downstairs bedroom smelled slightly of damp and it doesn’t have the best view, so it’s worth noting that there’s a clear master bedroom, a twin room at the top of the house (quite tight) that is charming, and the downstairs bedroom. The works along the waterfront are a little bit noisy if you’re in the top room.

Great beach cottage for families with young kids/dogs who want to get on a beach in less than 60secs
The beach was deserted all week, sunsets were amazing and the cottage is really close (1 min walk) The beach is really safe for kids and the high tide means you end up going a least twice a day. Low tide sunsets in the evening are epic!
Kitchen needs new equipment and a deep clean and the essential seawall construction is a bit of an eyesore, but didnt ruin our holiday one bit

The cottage is absolutely adorable and was perfect for our needs.
The cottage was better equipped than my own home! On arrival it was so welcoming to receive the food gifts and flowers. All linen and towels were of great quality and more than was needed. In addition, the way the cottage has been styled made it feel like a home with quirky and interesting touches and remained cool even on the hottest day of the year. The cottage is situated in a remarkable little enclave and we had the beach to ourselves for most of the trip. The neighbours on each side were also incredible friendly and the area is like nowhere else in the UK we have ever stayed.
I regret not bringing our dogs as the beach is dog friendly and the house is well suited to accommodating a furry friend or two.

Lovely, we will be returning.
Loved the decor. The rooms were very well furnished. It had all the facilities that I was expecting. It was very easy to find.
It would have been nice to be told that next door have the builders in, being woken at 0830 was not in my plan for my holiday.
