Very nice cabin, with great views. Great stay, we’ll be back

The intent of our visit was to curl up inside an amazing cabin, enjoy it for its amenities, relax and enjoy nature. We arrived after a snow storm making travel on the island scary for those unfamiliar with the conditions-- Mark checked on us and made sure we had everything we needed-- We had no need or desire to leave again the rest of our weekend with the comfortable furnishings, the well stocked cabin, warm fire place, hot tub and amazing views especially for winter sunsets.

My wife and I need a time away "from life" and this house was the ideal location. It was quiet, an indescribably beautiful setting, very clean, just-as-advertised, and Mark and Collen couldn't have been any better as hosts! We already plan to return and have told many others it is a wonderful place to stay.

Really was just what we were looking for. Quiet neighborhood. Has a good cabin vibe. Great view. Short walk or shorter drive to Bush Point. Hot tub was hot and clean. Be careful on the deck especially when wet outside and at night as there is very little lighting.

The cabin was clean and toasty warm when the gas fireplace was on! The hot tub overlooks Puget Sound and is so easy to get on and out of. Marc the owner was a pleasure to work with. We will be back!

Beautiful, clean rustic cabin.
Picture windows and a hot tub with views to die for!
After a day of hiking it was wonderful to get back to the cabin ( and hot tub ) and talk about the day while enjoying the breathtaking view.

We had a wonderful time cozied up in Mark's cabin for several days, close to all our favorite places on Whidbey. Mark is a great host!

My adult son and i stayed at this cabin and were so happy during our time there.
The view was perfect! We were just a short drive to coffee, grocery, and lovely drives to Whidbey sights.
The property is in a very quiet neighborhood with deer, bunnies and quail. All of the rooms were very clean and well appointed. We had zero issues and appreciated the easiest check in and checkout. The hosts are incredibly wsrm and helpful. We were even able to check in earlier!! We plan on returning. 😄

Exactly as described with immaculate instructions on use of everything. Enjoyed all the notes of things to do and see on Whidbey Island. Incredible westward view over the water.

The cabin is located on a bluff overlooking the Sound with beautiful views at sunset. It is conveniently located near our favorite places to walk on the island such as Trillium Community Woods and Double Bluff Beach and is only an 8 minute drive to Freeland stores and markets. A peaceful beautiful setting. We enjoyed watching the birds feeding from the feeder right outside the living room window and the beautiful sunsets. The hosts were very accommodating to our needs. Admiralty Inlet & sunset views from hot tub, deck and cabin’s 2 large picture windows. Be sure to enjoy the stars at night! A simple switch turns on the gas stove in the living room, providing some warmth while watching TV, reading or playing a game. A basic Mr Coffee kept the pot of coffee hot and I’m going to buy the same one to replace our old one. We filled the feeder with the provided seeds but the squirrels dominated and the little birds had a tough time getting some. The feeder was empty in a few hours. We used the outdoor grill to cook a coho salmon that my husband caught that afternoon…it was the best meal we’ve had recently. Baked some potatoes in the oven and made veggies on the stove top. Kitchen is well equipped. It’s been mentioned that the kitchen needs updating & that there isn’t a dishwasher but we think it’s wonderful the way it is! Afterall, it’s a cabin and we appreciate the older decor and feeling of simplicity. We were there to relax & reflect and this cabin helped us to do that. It’s cozy and we slept great! We’ll gladly return.

It was a wonderful place to stay for our honeymoon, beautiful sunset views with an amazing hot tub. Lots of notes around the house telling where things are and how some things work. Will definitely be looking to come back again!

We loved our stay here. It was a great base from which to explore Whidbey Island. Afterwards, we’d come back and lay in the hammock or sit on the wrap-around deck watching the boats and shops go by in Admiralty Inlet. Very relaxing! We were there during the Perseids so loved having the hot tub yo watch the stars at night. Mark was an attentive host and made sure we had what we needed.

This place has a great laid back cabiny feel. We enjoyed it in February and July. It is a great place to bbq or make dinner with family and relax and watch the sunset and watch the birds and soak in the hot tub after visiting Langley, Coupeville, or Deception Pass. Very close to a lighthouse and South Whidbey Island Park. Hosts make it easy for you, lovely stay.

Enjoyed our stay. Birdwatching and sunsets spectacular. Terrific hosts.

The highlights of our stay: large living room windows to take in the beautiful and expansive water view, high wood- beamed ceilings, large deck, comfortable beds and roomy bedrooms, quiet area surrounded by nature, and very responsive and accommodating hosts.
What could use improvement: Cottage appears to have original cabinets and counter tops and possibly flooring. We would have appreciated a dishwasher and newer cabinets that close better; bathroom showerhead is very low for anyone taller than 5 ft; towels and washcloths need replacing.

We had such a wonderful time here! We are going to stay again! We can't choose what was our favorite. Between the view, the hot tub, the fireplace, all the woodland creatures, and the ships passing by, we were constantly entertained. This is the perfect "base camp" to return to everyday after exploring the many wonders that Whidbey Island has to offer! 5 Stars!... Wait, 10 stars!...No, wait...100 stars! OK, you get it....we LOVED this place. Have fun if you stay here, you will not be disappointed. :)

This is an amazing place for a romantic weekend. The space is actually large enough for a family with two bedrooms, but it really is perfect for a couple.
The views are beyond amazing. We were able to witness a couple of phenomenal sunsets.
The deck feels very private and there is a constant stream of bird visitors, plus a family of chipmunks living in a nearby tree who run across the deck railing.
Full kitchen with a pantry to help you spice up whatever you bring to cook or grill.
Cannot recommend enough for a getaway.

This was a great place to stay for my wife and I to celebrate our anniversary. Mark was a wonderful host. Communicated clearly. Our flight was delayed and he helped us find a place to eat that was still open - then we came to the cabin to have the lights on, waiting for us! It is clear that they are gracious hosts - many amenities that are thoughtfully placed. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking, the spa was wonderfully hot and strong jets, the beds were comfortable with quality soft sheets. The deck had multiple great places to sit and enjoy the amazing views of the Ocean. We would stay again - and hope to do so in the future!

The pictures do not do this cabin justice, but it probably isn’t possible to capture the comfortable, cozy, relaxed feeling one experiences the moment one walks in the door. The decor includes charming antiques and collectibles and furniture that invites you to curl up and enjoy the view. The canine is stocked with all of the essentials for cooking and bathing, and includes thoughtful extras such as coolers, a fan, extra pillows, etc. If there were not so many wonderful places to explore on the island, one could spend weeks on the amazing deck, watching the boats go by, the deer that feed daily in the yard, the many different birds, the baby squirrels, and the amazing views of the water. The hot tub is also excellent— clean, well-maintained, strong jets- and the perfect spot for star gazing or watching the spectacular west side sunsets. Although the cabin is tucked away on a quiet bluff, everything you need ( gas, groceries, hiking, activities) is just minutes away. Check in was a breeze and host communication is excellent. We highly recommend this place for the perfect Whidbey stay.

My husband and I needed a quiet place to get away from all the stress at home. We found it in this beautiful cabin. It was peaceful to sit out on the porch that overlooked the water and mountains. We saw deer, bunnies playing, and of course all kinds of birds. It was exactly what we needed. The weather could of been better but it was still great. Thank you Mark and Colleen!

The cottage reminded us of our first years on Whidbey circa 1989. This was a return visit after relocation in 2021. We found everything we wanted and needed with a stunning view to Admiralty Inlet, the Olympics and Puget Sound shipping, cruising and naval traffic. Countless birds swooped in to devour the sunflower seeds in Mark's feeder off the deck (seed generousky provided). The hot tub was great and the sky was dark enough to fill with stars. We relaxed and spent several weeks catching up with family and old Island friends. We hope to return here someday.

The view is great. The hot tub as well. We had everything we needed. And it is close to lots of scenic places. We especially enjoyed the Earth Sanctuary in Freeland.

Rustic kitschy cabin. Had everything we needed and was very comfortable. Watching the antics of the birds and squirrels at the bird feeder, the quiet was very relaxing and the view was worth the dishwasher hands!!
Communication with Mark was excellent!
Thanks for the relaxing time in your cabin Mark and Colleen.

Three of us stayed at Mark and Colleen's lovely little cottage for the Langley Murder Mystery Weekend (so fun!). It was just about perfect. It's cozy and user friendly, with a beautiful view, fully-equipped kitchen, cozy gas fireplace in the living room and two comfy bedrooms. Very quiet, with a busy bird feeder to watch in the morning. The hot tub was easy to use and very enjoyable, with a lovely view.
Plus, the location was great. Easy to find with GPS, close to both Langley and Coupeville, with many parks, hikes and beaches near by.

We loved the cottage at Bush Point. It was homey, comfortable, and well-stocked. The view from the dining room/living room was fabulous-- with birds, ships, and sunsets to observe. Mark was a pleasure to work with. We hope to stay there again.
