This unit is located on the 1st level just inside the coded entrance door. Located in downtown Bayfield so you can easily walk to everything! Table & 'chair for your lap top.1 Bedroom with Queen Bed, Living room chair, couch, coffee table. 1st level. Private Bath with Jacuzzi and shower. Enjoy the front porch with wrought iron chairs. 43" Flat Screen Roku TV, AC, Small Refrigerator, Microwave, Coffee Maker, Coffee, Condiments, WIFI. Park in Back parking lot or in front of "At Ships Quarters" on Broad Street. 3 of 4 spots available for parking in back, first come, first serve. Great location just 1/2 block North of Rittenhouse Ave at 20 N Broad Street. Shops, Restaurants, Coffee Shop, Spirits main harbor docks, park , Cruise service office & boats, Madeline Island Ferry, all within 1/2-3 blocks. Walk to everything! After making a reservation, we will email you and you must immediately reply to our email (not VRBO messaging) with your full address, names of guests and which are adults and children and their addresses, for Wisconsin Guest Registry Statute. Please note that VRBO will not allow us to message you with our email address and if we attempt to do so, they will block the email out. This must be done within 1 hour of making the reservation on VRBO. We will attempt to text you as well. After we receive we will then email you from our email the arrival instructions, door codes, and any applicable parking permits to print and bring to your accommodation on date of your arrival. Room was cold. There is a gas fireplace in room (on of the reasons we booked the room) but a sign saying it was turned off. When we asked the manager he said there was a crack in the chimney so could not use it. The heat source was a unit installed above the window. It would heat to 64 and then shut off no matter what it was set at. We contacted manager and he brought over a portable heater which would get the room up to 64. He was very rude and left in a huff slamming the door. Never checked back again.

Big comfy bed in main room. Good TV. Small microwave, fridge and coffee maker. Be sure to bring cups, knife, spoon, bowls etc. the only thing provided was a corkscrew and coffee packets. Bathroom is big, shower is small, jacuzzi tub is fairly big. This house (ships quarters) has four units. We stayed on the ground floor. It was not too noisy inside or out. There are other locations one block closer to the lake that have porches that face the lake that I wish we would have chosen instead. But, all in all, it was an ok value.

This is a nice room in a quiet area that is still close to restaurants, shops and the ferry to Madeline Island. Everything was as advertised.

Location was perfect for seeing the sights in Bayfield and easy access to and from Hwy 13. Slight hiccup with the cleaning crew was remedied quickly by Jon and was accompanied by a small refund for the inconvenience. Great customer service!

We really enjoyed our stay at "Jennie E". The apartment was small, but had everything we needed for a 3 night stay. A full size coffee maker would be nice as there is only a small 4 cup "motel" style coffee maker and both my wife and I enjoy our morning coffee! Great location, easy walking distance to everything.

The suite was exactly as we pictured. Just a half block off the main drag. Jack the property manager was great. We locked our keys in our room and he was funny and gracious and rescued us. We sat on the front porch a couple of times and had coffee . Very relaxing.

Clean, furniture a little worn, bed was great, quiet, super easy to walk anywhere, including coffee, food, shopping, docks and trails. It was perfect for me and would easily work for a couple.

My husband and I stayed at this property for a relaxing weekend getaway. The location is perfect.... walking distance to everything, yet off the Main Street, so it’s very quiet. Unit is small, but had everything we needed. Comfy bed and huge bathroom. It was a great weekend and we will stay there again!

We'll be back

We've stayed in the Jennie E before - over 4 years ago. We came back because it was a great time then. Still a great stay. The room is large and comfortable. The whirlpool tub is fabulously large. We were a little disappointed that the gas fireplace was shut off for the summer as we would have preferred to run that briefly over switching the heater on during the cold spell we experienced.

Jack was super helpful when there was an issue with the heating. The room was comfortable, clean and as described. It even had a coffee maker with creamers and sugar for convenience. Very good location. We walked to everything. It was a very happy stay indeed :)
